I get that the staff aren't being paid incredible wages, nor are most people in the area, neither am I. But the absolute nastiness of the staff at this McDonald's is really heart-breaking. I recently had my young son come spend the weekend with me, a time I truly cherish and wish there could be more of. Anyway, this Saturday we both got settled in the living-room to watch a movie together. "I know" I said, "Let's have a McDonald's" Now I don't have much free money at all but I'd eat catfood for the week to have a special time with my son. He was excited. So I ordered via the app. I had the audacity to leave a note, a very gentle and polite note. "Please can you put sauces with order as I have none at home, wasted the last on a cheese sandwich. Appreciated and hope you're having a good evening." The absolute audacity of me. I did this because every-time I've ordered over the years not once did they provide the included sauce with my sons nuggets. Well they mustn't have liked that someone had the nerve to be polite in a note because this order was ordered at 8.30pm and not delivered until nearly 11pm. Nothing to do with deliveries, just the staff being petty and tossing the order onto an ever lengthy preparing your order. I couldn't even cancel the order for a refund. Movie over, son ready for bed and upset. I look like a fool now. All because a left a very respectful and upbeat note for sauce. They'll have a good laugh if they read this I imagine. Thanks lads, ladies. I'm no different to you, times are very, very tough but I suppose to you I'm nothing but a cheeky POS for adding that note. Nah, just a dad barely getting by who wanted to give my much loved but little able to see son a smile. x

Great service, excellent food and drink, good value having visited Monday with my friend Jayne. Nice peaceful atmosphere with no loud music so we could speak normally. Definitely worth another visit soon, Peter

It with real sadness I'm re rating the Lucky Jade. Previously a superb 5 star to 1 star won't be going again. Food standard has dropped through the floor. Looks bad, not cooked well at all. No flavour, ribs inedible, duck fat not rendered to make crispy, the list goes on. We have had 4 maybe 5 bad orders now in a row. So it's not a blip. This weekend we had our final try, and it was one of the worst meals I've had from there. Sorry guys I don't know what's changed this year, hope you can turn it round.

After spending most of the night in The Railway Pub my twin brother and I decided to round off our night with a bag of chips each,Food For Thought facing the pub was our only choice,in my opinion one of the best chippy's in Liverpool and my personal favourite. Chippy was packed ,always a good sign,we ordered a big bag of chips each ,service was quick and pleasant, we grabbed the last bus home were we enjoyed our chips with a few craft beers from our well stocked beer fridge, Food For Thought is easy to locate along Glovers Brow ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area near Kirkby Railway Station.

New efficient staff have replaced the the old and for the better. Recommend a visit. Great food, decent price. Recommend the app to pre-order at busy lunchtimes.

We had lunch, dinner and breakfast the next morning very clean lovely and clean very friendly staff. The room was lovely and the food excellent.

Food is lovely and good value. I order for home delivery and food comes quick and hot with freebies of prawn crackers and spring rolls. delivery drivers are always kind and polite. Portions sizes are ok, not the biggest but the food is really tasty.

I've ordered numerous times from this domino's and the food has always been amazing. Though I ordered lastnight as I had just got home from a 12 hour shift and didn't feel like cooking. The food arrived cold and rock hard. I had 3 slices of a large pizza and the rest was in the bin. The wedges where literally inedible. So dry that they literally just stuck in the back of m my throat like glue. Definitely won't be ordering again as at £28 for a meal I expect far better!

Food is a bit pricey 17 for fish and chips and fish wasn't the best fish.

The Gold Star Whiston Village has been closed for months, since well before Christmas 2024 - theres no obvious indication of reasons why or plans to open up again

Just received 2 flips, food not hot at all, and requested dietary and sauces neither was done cheese wasn’t even melted it was that cold! £26 for 2 flips! Both flips in bin absolutely vile will ever order again from here, used to brr we so nice now awful tried ringing no reply

Just done a drive through order The girl on the till was SO LOVELY (Ellie H) She was really kind and happy and apologised for delay (there was less than 30 seconds before I got served) and overall made my day! It's nice when staff are so positive! The food was great, chips hot and crispy (not soggy) and cold frozen drinks proper cold! Better than other Mackies I've been!! 5 stars!!!
