The best restaurants serving Default food in Caister North Great Yarmouth East of England

Well. What can I say apart from 5*. I've never been greeted with a nicer smile &- attitude. How to order was explained easily & were told to wait in the warmth of our car & order. Food was super quick. We had ordered kinder topped donuts with whippy, kinder bueno milkshake & strawberry ice cream whippy. When I order arrived to our car we were told that due to the time they'd ran out of strawberries and kinder piece however then proceeded to give us a slushy extra, two kinder hippos for little one to eat and a huge apology... (it wasn't needed, the strawberries weren't missed too much) Genuinely a lovely women running a very successful small business. Rate highly.

We always call here while on holiday in the area as they serve the best ice-cream in the area, well worth a visit, will recommend to anyone

This is the tastiest place going. The donuts are fresh and oh so good. I could eat thousands of them. The ice cream is lush and the toppings and sauces are great too. And as for the shakes!!! Wow! Always recommend this place to friends and all are impressed. Quality service too

Whilst on holiday we thought we'd give them a try. Food was tasty and value for money. I would recommend giving it a try. Would love to have tried more.

We spotted this fish and chip shop on our way in to Havens Caister holiday park. There was 14 of us and the Ladies in there were so friendly and accommodating, they moved tables around so that we could all sit together. The food was all brought out at the same time and was delicious and all cooked freshly. The prices were so reasonable too. We would highly recommend this little gem. You won’t be disappointed.

We visited Caister for our 20th anniversary and whilst walking to the beach we passed this lovely fish and chip shop! So glad we did as it was absolutely lovely, we took it to the beach to eat, the cod was amazing and the chips were good too, so good that we went back the next day to be welcomed by Nobby, thank you and can’t wait to return again next year! Went for Sunday Carvery, Obviously going to be very busy. Food was great, problem was that lots of the young people were Vaping in there. Should be treated the same as smoking and be not allowed. Lots of youngsters Vaping, swearing out loud at each other and their kids. Modern society i suppose, but not in a restaurant please.

The first time we used this pub was about seven years ago. The landlady was extremely friendly and we spent ages chatting, and we must of easily spent well over £100 on several occasions. A while later we returned, and I wish we hadn't!! Never in my life have I experienced rudeness and misery from the same person! Me and my wife were looked at like we were pieces of detritus, no thanks, no goodbye, nothing. We didn't go in there for a couple of years and went again recently, to give the benefit of the doubt, as we thought they may of been having a bad day, but low and behold, EXACTLY the same attitude, everything! After reading other reviews, I see we aren't the only recipients of zero customer service! We are only a two minute walk from the pub when we are visiting relatives in Caister, but I will never go back, I'd rather get a taxi down the road and spend my money elsewhere.

Excellent service, staff was very accommodating to requirements and food was delicious.

Probably the worst Chinese I’ve had! Not very warm, very little sauce for the chicken balls, no flavour throughout, very disappointing

We ate at the mash and barrel on Friday 28/3/25 when we arrived at the holiday park. The food and service did not disappoint at all. We ordered the Mixed grill (the steak was cooked a medium to perfection), full rack of ribs and chicken basket. Everything was delicious, fresh and well presented. We were even tempted to order the sharing dessert platter, which was really tasty and the brownies were hot too, yummy! We asked the server to please pass on our compliments to the chefs as people are too quick to complain but never give praise where praise is due. We were so thrilled at the food and service that we went for breakfast on sat 29/3/25 before we headed out for the day. This again did not disappoint. Very reasonable, fresh, hot and tasty. We had 2 full breakfasts and the pancakes with bacon and syrup. We also need to mention that all the staff were polite and helpful but especially Bruno who went above and beyond on our Friday visit to the restaurant. Thank you so much.
