Superfry in Great Yarmouth

We visited Caister for our 20th anniversary and whilst walking to the beach we passed this lovely fish and chip shop! So glad we did as it was absolutely lovely, we took it to the beach to eat, the cod was amazing and the chips were good too, so good that we went back the next day to be welcomed by Nobby, thank you and can’t wait to return again next year! Top notch cod and chips. Super friendly owner and chippy. Staff went out of their way to cater for our dining needs! Lovely chippy not far from the beach.

On 30/7 we came to Superfry for lunch. The shop was empty with just one person in front of us. The shopkeeper was dealing with this customers order and taking his payment. Then he brought the fish and started to prepare it himself (no apron or gloves) on the other side of the till on the narrow counter in front of us. He didnt welcome us in the shop but said about a long wait in our direction. When I asked roughly how long he laughed and made a fool of me. He didn't answer my question. I dint like that he was dealing with money and touching food with the same hands. We decided to leave. He shouted something after us but I didn't want to confront him. He looked angry and stressed, he definitely wasn't welcoming and was rude. It was the only bad experience we had during our week holiday in Caister. That day we had lunch in another fish and chip shop and it was an absolute delight.

Fantastic chippy in the heart of Caister. Great menu variety for fish and meat lovers ! Food delicious batter crispy and the Yorkshire pudding wraps are something else !! They also deliver …. Well done Nobby & Co

OMG what a Amazing little chip shop...Food was out of this world.fresh chips Battered sausages with Light crispy batter thick tasty curry sauce all cooked fresh..Staff friendly and helpful..place spotlessly clean..Had 2 v hapoy kids after our food from here will definately be ordering from here many times in the future..Keep up the awesome job ur doing Superfry...

Just eat are useless and kept putting our delivery time back, the restaurant were so helpful in sorting this for us. Polite staff, massive portions, cooked well and served hot. Good value for money. 100% recommend just don't bother using just eat- go collect it yourself

Fish and chips cooked to order, hot and crispy with loads of salt and vinegar. Just lush and exactly what was needed on a very cold day

Our usual chippy was closed for the holidays (New Years eve lunch time) so gave Superfry a try, never been here before but will definitely be returning, ordered large cod and chips and the guy cooking said that there would be a little wait as all was cooked fresh, well worth the wait as it was one of the best fish and chip lunches we have ever eaten, see you again soon.

Was a bit of a wait however was the only chippy open in caister. So you don't mind waiting especially if you are like me and fed up with all the Roasts over Christmas period. The lady on the till and the guy cooking the food kept making me laugh. Excellent service, excellent fresh food. They were cooking e erythjng to order. What more do you want ? I

Don’t bother calling in here unless you pre-order. After a walk in the beach with the dogs we decided on a fish and chip lunch and passed this chippy near the beach. Instead of a friendly welcome in the way in I was greeted with “have you ordered?!” After saying no the rather grumpy chap just said “well you’ll have to just wait until I get to you then!” Later saying it would be a 20-30 minute wait. Sorry mate. Went somewhere else.

We ordered a family meal via just eat. It never arrived. Turned out the shop wasn’t even open, and yet they took our order and payment. I’ve repeatedly tried to contact them and have been ignored. I have not had my money back. Absolutely disgraceful.

Portions were good, I didn’t finish mine as portion too big for me. The batter on the fish was some of the best I’ve had. Shame they only sell cold drinks

Just visited Saturday Night. Nice to have a decent chip shop in Norfolk. Fish was so good, and the chips felt old school. It was like being back in a northern seaside chippy. Even service with a Smile. Best food over the weekend visit by far. would definitely recommend.

went here last Saturday to some tea the food was excellent and the customer service was great. it was great that the shop provided a seating area as not many other places do. I would highly recommend

Thought we would try the new kids on the block. What a mistake. Have read the other mixed reviews but like to form our own opinions. Fish small portions for the price. Full of grease. Left puddles on the paper and seeped through wrapping before arrived home. Symptoms of oil not hot enough before putting fish into pan. Chips old and tired. Been cooked well before served. Dry and limp. Scraps were good. Peas average. Prices well above average. There are 2 or 3 chippies in Caister offer better food at a more reasonable price. Needless to say won’t be back.

I ordered for the first time this evening never ordering again the high flyer children wrap was like a pile of mush and cold the chips were like eating cardboard the sausage was as dry as the batter the beefburger the batter wasn't cocked properly...

100% recommend the gluten free cod, it tasted amazing, wouldn’t tell its gluten. The batter was lovely and crispy. It’s nice to see local businesses catering for those gluten free!! Well done superfry! Will definitely be ordering you guys again.
