The best restaurants serving Default food in Epping Forest East of England

Attended a tasting menu for valentines evening g . Food was lovely and the staff where very attentive but unfortunately although private dining there was another couple who was there and was very very loud and completely controlled the whole evening. Couldn't hear what the staff was telling us about the courses and didn't even have a conversation with my partner as i couldn't hear him. Considering the cost I would have thought the staff could gave told them to keep the noise down as other people in the joining resturant also mentioned the noise as this was also our 41st wedding g anniversary it totally spoil our evening I know it wasn't the resturant fault but I think the manager should have step in. Another couple who was there also didn't enjoy the experience either because of the same problem

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant in a great location surrounded by the outstanding Toot Hill golf course. The food was utterly fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

If you are in London you must try Fabio’s cafe, the best in town!

We had a table of 8 for my 70th Birthday celebrations and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. I was a little apprehensive but as soon as I met Katherine (Owner) prior to our booking i was immediately drawn to the place. In regard to the food everything I ask for came out onto the table the food was amazing it was so delicious. We chose a Meze starter followed by Salmon, Shish Chicken and Lamb Skewers with the most delicious salads and vegetables and flat breads to die for, we also had Gorgeous Pavlova and a very varied Cheese Board for dessert the presentation was lovely, I honestly think Katherine old mke a boiled egg look pretty. Our food was served by Peter who assisted Catherine and he makes a very good Waiter. There was nothing we could fault and we definitely will be returning hopefully in the not too distant future. A birthday meal out with family was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The food was outstanding, service very friendly and attentive. One member of our group has an allergy was dealt with without any fuss or bother. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all.

Visited a few times now, always friendly & great selection of well-prepared food & drink. Can park my motorbike safely in view & can recommend wholeheartedly.

Honestly the best cafe! We eat here regularly. Everybody loves the breakfast but I also go here regularly for lunch. The staff are friendly, the cafe is always clean and there is outdoor space out the back which is dog friendly (if you take your dog you have us the back entrance).

Amazing doorstep burgers!lovely friendly cafe,with covered outside seating area, with lots of wonderful sweet and savoury delights! Sandwiches, burgers, sausage rolls, Cakes,ice cream And a mixture of soft drinks, teas and coffees. Definatley recommend visiting the doorstop cafe

Delivered on time and piping hot. Great portions sizes too. We ordered a tofu chow mein and a chicken Singapore noodle with veg spring rolls. Could have been given a bigger portion of chili sauce and the dishes were a little greasy but nothing to complain about. Will order again as it was very tasty and service was good and it arrived in time for the final of the cricket and the tennis!!,

This is my third visit to Bonhomie since it changed from Belgique. I have to say that I was not particularly impressed with my previous two visits, having always ordered the avocado on toast. The first time it was served on white bread without having been given the option to chose another type of bread. Also, it was literally what it said in the tin i.e. a sliced avocado on a slice of white bread, no dressing. The second time I said that I would like to have it on brown bread please. Again, it came as a sliced avocado on a slice of bread. Both times it came with a poached egg and a minimum amount of garnish. Nothing to do with the nice avocado on toast served in other local cafés. For this reason, when my friend suggested Bonhomie today,  I said that I wasn't a fan. However, as it was convenient for it is local, we went. Our waiter was a young man, that couldn't understand my foreign accent, despite my having been in this country for 20 years, my partner being British and me being a professional person developing my profession in the area. I repeated my order of green tea, avocado on toast (I thought maybe third time lucky), no butter several times but he kept asking for my order time and time again, to the point of making me feel embarrassed. It has never happened to me anything like it before. The young man tried to excused himself saying that it wasn't my accent, that it had been a long day (it was 11am). When eventually the food came, it was the saddest thing I have ever been served in a café - a slice of bread (brown, thank goodness) with a mushy avocado on top, again no dressing and this time, no garnish and no egg. Due to the previous embarrasment, I decided not to complain anymore, my friend and I laughed and promised not to come back again on future occasions. When I arrived home, I told my partner what had happened  and he said that I should have complained, that it was not right that I was charged full price when my food was so below par and it was actually missing ingredients. I thought about going back on the following day to personally talk to the manager. Then I read the review when the owner said to a customer to go to McDonald's when the customer complained about the service (?), and I thought that I had already been sufficiently embarrassed in this establishment. Therefore, I wasn't going to risk to be told to go to McDonald's (or somewhere else). Not sure if McDonald's will be my choice next time, but it definitely won't be Bonhomie.

Great food and friendly staff located inside a business centre in waltham abbey. I really enjoyed the breakfast and a nice selection of coffee to choose from. I've now been back a few times with family and never been disappointed. Keep up the good work Biz. Thanks Kev

Lovely Turkish restaurant, this is our favourite one so far!! Food is amazing, service is really good!! I ordered grilled mushrooms and the salmon fillet. My boyfriend ordered crispy battered prawns and chicken shish. He loved it!! I tried a bit of his chicken, tastes so good!!!!! Rice is soft, the salad is flavoursome and the salmon is beautiful!! We are 100% coming back here!!
