The course is absolutely fantastic and with the sun out our day couldn’t have been any better. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, what a great atmosphere, definitely coming back .

However, despite the impressive display, there’s one noticeable drawback: the sweetness level. While the pastries look amazing, some of them are overwhelmingly sweet, to the point that it becomes a bit much, especially if you’re not a fan of sugary treats. This high sugar content can feel a bit indulgent, almost too much so. It would be fantastic if Belgique offered a range of semi-sweet or less sugary options to cater to those who prefer a more balanced taste. A reduction in sugar could elevate the flavors of the ingredients, allowing the natural tastes to shine through without overpowering them. The café offers an extensive drink menu, from lattes to fresh juices, which pairs well with the patisserie. The staff are friendly and attentive, and service is generally prompt. Belgique is popular among locals, and it can get busy, especially on weekends, so it might be worth planning ahead if you prefer a quieter setting. In summary, Belgique Café and Patisserie is a wonderful place for a sweet treat and coffee, but a touch more variety in sugar levels would make the experience even better for those who like their desserts less sweet.

Appalling service that spoilt an evening. Visited here as the venue for a summer ball for the friends of a school. Bar staff were shocking, rude and incompetent. Food was appalling and verging on inedible. Bar ran out of wine during our event and had a poor selection of other drinks with bar staff that didn’t even know the rudimentary facts about drinks they had. Avoid at all costs - will NEVER go back
