Apon arriving at the cafe that is just a 2 min walk from the station past the shed, I was greeted by friend staff and atmosphere. I ordered a breakfast and was not disappointed when it arrived! Lovely portions and lovely food and to top it off I sat outside along the river 🤩 The cafe is dog friendly so my Labrador was over the moon when he was given a free dog treat 🦴

Honestly the best cafe! We eat here regularly. Everybody loves the breakfast but I also go here regularly for lunch. The staff are friendly, the cafe is always clean and there is outdoor space out the back which is dog friendly (if you take your dog you have us the back entrance).

148 High StreetSeating is way too close to other customers. Can’t have a private conversation without the next table listening to you. Eggs were undercooked, food is nice. Just too cramped to enjoy the experience.

High StreetDespite living in Ongar I had never actually been here before, but I will definitely be back. After the Ongar Deli closed a number of years back we’ve always driven out of Ongar for breakfast/ brunch / lunch as in my opinion there aren’t any decent options. So pleased to have found this spot for a nice easy brunch, good menu, no fuss, perfect!
