The log cabin is definitely worth a visit, and it’s unlike anything in the area. As to the food, if you’re after a full English breakfast or similar then you’re in the right place. Remember to bring cash, and arrive hungry

Having recently moved into the area, we have now visited The Log Cabin twice and both times the services has been quick and staff very helpful. The food was of good quality and served hot! Great traditional english breakfast with no avocado in sight!!

It's a shame they don't take card payments. Nice ambience. Not keen on animal relics on the wall however, being a vegetarian. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is basically a 'greasy spoon' with an American-style interior and no pretensions. Very good food witha reasonable 'breakfast' choice. Staff generally pleasant if some show inexperience by returning from serving with empty hands when there are items awaiting clearance from table. Having lived in te area for over 30 years, my wife and I regret not having discovered it sooner.

American log cabin decor with English motorway cafe food served on incredibly huge plates. I'm still not sure what to make of it...

We come here regularly as they do the best chips in Essex. Long communal tables, bearskin on the wall, roaring fire and friendly atmosphere. I recommend the ham, egg and chips.

Working around the corner so have visited this cafe 3 times. Every single time the breakfast is either wrong or they forget to bring it out. Once I said no beans and the breakfast came out with beans, so I said the order was wrong and they simply wiped the beans off the plate and brought it back with bean juice on. Will not be coming back. Premium prices with a sub standard service.

Been a few times and love it, great full English breakfast in a comfortable place. Menu has more than just a full English with nice staff and a decent cup of tea.

Popped in while in the area. It was freezing out so the log fire was great. Food was cooked to order but not long to wait. Loads on plate with good service, it was quite so may be different when busy. Lots of character in the place and well worth a visit. Breakfast was excellent, menu for lunch etc looked good and will be going back.

Popped in for a breakfast to be told there would be a 40 minute wait for cooked food, it's a cafe!!! We don't live locally so total waste of a trip. Won't be going back too unreliable.

Our first visit in a long time but not much has changed including a few cobwebs! Food cooked to order and seating along long plank tables. Good place for breakfast with no fuss.

Perfect service, friendly staff and great food. Well worth a visit. Great little setting and has a fun quirky vibe. I had the full English and it was perfect, tea was spot on (and that's hard to find in a cafe these days)

My Dad has been bringing my brother and me here for years. We travel in from East London on a regular basis and can honestly say that it's worth the trip. They use proper sausages and bacon, none of those generic ones you get in other cafes. Even the bread that they use is top notch. The chef has been there since I was a child and says hello to everyone that enters. The girls behind the counter are friendly, and go that extra mile to make sure that enjoy your grub. It's a warm and friendly environment that I have told plenty of people about. They all now use the log cabin.

If you need a hearty breakfast this is the place to go. Chips are really good too. The log fire is a great touch and the staff were great. Very reasonably priced for the quality of sausages/bacon etc. We will be back

My neighbour and myself was passing the Log Cabin at Abridge today (Mon 06/03/17) and decided to stop and have breakfast. We were really pleased that we did. We had the all day breakfast which was 2 bacon, egg, fried bread, sausage and tomatoes, with a thick slice of buttered bread and a lovely mug of tea, all for £5.95. Well worth every penny. The people serving were very friendly as well, which makes a big difference. We hope to return again very soon.

We walked into a Western-style log cabin with a log fire on the go. The atmosphere was warm and slightly smokey. We ordered chicken and mushroom pie, chips and peas.

So I'm on my third date with this man. I thought he was the one, but after this evening spent at this café he told me "I'm too clingly" and that I need to "Relax for a bit"! Who does he think he is! Telling a single mother of 5 to RELAX! HOW DARE HE! I have been alone for 3 years and I though I had found the man of my dreams, the kids absolutely loved him but NO apparently falling in love at first sight doesn't exist anymore! I tried my hardest to please him. Every date we went on I had to hire 2 babysitters to look after the kids, so not only did I have to pay for my meal but I also had to pay for 2 babysitters 3 TIMES! Even when I offered a quiet date at my house, while the kids where at school, he declined saying it "Wasn't very romantic" I am trying to live my life and I thought he would want to join me on that! A lonely man like that would just have to marry me and already have five kids to look after, no work needed! But no apparently he's too good for that. Anyway, food was lovely and service was welcoming. I will be coming back with my 5 kids instead of a selfish nobody!

The food in this country side cafe is delicious and reasonable. I ordered a No. 2 and recommend that to everyone who needs a balance of meat and carbs. The staff is very friendly and interactive. It's a small cafe with good vibes and ambience to take a break in or to visit when you have reached Abridge cycling or long distance running. Surrounded by vast green lands it has an inner seating with a deck for dogs just outside. Just adjacent to the cafe there is a nursery with a huge variety of plants too. Food is mainly English breakfast and sandwiches 🥪.

Me and 3 members of my family came here for a breakfast and it is truly a nice place to eat, there is a nice atmosphere and a wonderful smell when you enter. Our food was delicious and we definitely would come back. Even though we came from about 45 minutes away and it was worth the drive. My food was about £9.50 and it really did fill me up. Tip - if there is no parking spots at the restraint park at the pub next door. You will have to pay £2 though for parking.
