So I'm on my third date with this man. I thought he was the one, but after this evening spent at this café he told me "I'm too clingly" and that I need to "Relax for a bit"! Who does he think he is! Telling a single mother of 5 to RELAX! HOW DARE HE! I have been alone for 3 years and I though I had found the man of my dreams, the kids absolutely loved him but NO apparently falling in love at first sight doesn't exist anymore! I tried my hardest to please him. Every date we went on I had to hire 2 babysitters to look after the kids, so not only did I have to pay for my meal but I also had to pay for 2 babysitters 3 TIMES! Even when I offered a quiet date at my house, while the kids where at school, he declined saying it "Wasn't very romantic" I am trying to live my life and I thought he would want to join me on that! A lonely man like that would just have to marry me and already have five kids to look after, no work needed! But no apparently he's too good for that. Anyway, food was lovely and service was welcoming. I will be coming back with my 5 kids instead of a selfish nobody!

This cafe is my local, I go there practically every weekend and the food is always great - only downside is that they aren’t open on sundays. Overall would definitely recommend. (I believe they are now called Espresso Cafe)

A nice little place with good coffee, friendly staff and warm decor. Before I went veggie I thought the fry-ups were great. I'd guess the still are!

Creo que tiene una nueva dirección! Una de las mejores frituras que he tenido en mucho tiempo y el personal es realmente simpático.

I go here regularly over weekends. Comfortable and friendly. Only criticism - the sauces taste watered down.

Booked in advance and they'd put aside a nice table aside for us. Nice touch. Friendly and attentive service. Perfectly cooked food with superb flavour and interesting twists. Great meal. I'll be back.

All food delicious, with fresh ingredients and good service. The cafe lacks any atmosphere and is outdated.

Popped to Waltham Abbey with some friends and decided to go for lunch. Had a look on Tripadvisor for the best placed and saw this was had some great reviews. Its quite small and seems very popular. We struggled to get a table for four and were shown to a small table that would only do two. That being said as soon as a larger table became available we were asked if we wanted to move. The menu has a large selection from a full english, to sandwiches, burgers and jacket potatoes. Prices are very cheap which is great. The quality is ok but i did find it a bit lacking. For example, the jacket potato was a great size and there was lots of tuna but there was far too much mayo in both the tuna mayo and the coleslaw. The staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome.Personally I would try somewhere else, however, if your looking for somewhere cheap with average food then its worth a try.

Sun street has a number of cafes and being a foodie I can confidentally say that I prefer Sun Street Cafe over the rest of them :-)Be it the attitude of the staff, the comfortable seating, the variety of food or just the overall ambience this cafe is a great place to just chill out on your own or with your friends. The latest addition is their yummilicious ice cream which I cannot recommend enough!

Just had "Chicken Shashlik". Marinated Chicken on skewers with peppers, onions and rice on the side. Delicious home made dip as well. This is the opposite to a greasy spoon cafe and serves quality food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly recommend.

Passed this a few times, this time the picture board outside got me in. The Spanish omelette is really nice, not greasy and full of vegetables. Nice salad with it, dressed rather than the usual just for show offerings. My daughter had the plain jacket potato which was nice but needed extra butter. Thoroughly recommend. Massive tea and great milkshake.

I am a regular to this place as I work in the abbey. I love this place as it has its own unique style to it. The variety of food and drinks one gets here is just amazing. Must try their Curry fries as once you have them you will keep coming back for them.

I have returned to this cafe and it is still just as bad. The bad seating is still there as well as the awful coffee. It is quite interesting that there have been 8 excellent reviews written immediately after one bad review and that all these 'excellent' reviews are written in bad English - perhaps the owners have something to do with all these 'excellent' reviews!

Have been coming here a little after it opened. I was a regular Starbucks fan or an occasional Costa Latte taster. But this place has won me outright!...Why? It's local, it's not a greasy cafe, it has WiFi, comfy seats, all the coffees, tea's, cakes, treats & loads more including a cooked meal menu & friendly staff that genuinely smile & mean it. I noticed if I go to other cafes I get a moody face that doesn't want to be there :( Yeah, this place is a home from home!

I always believe on "Judge a Drink; Judge a Character" , I met a lovely girl through one of the online dating sites, however, due to our busy work schedule and commitments we were unable to organise a dinner date or night out. So I asked her if she can come for a coffee or lunch during the lunch time at Waltham Abbey's sun street as we both are working close to the market street. At that point she suggested me to meet up at Sun Street Café & of course I love it because it is one of the most important parts of first date is sizing up what, and how, she order. If her drink of choice contains too many instructions for your liking or is delivered without any niceties at all, then I might be able to handily declare that she might not be The One. We meet @ Sun Street Café at lunch time & I was really surprised to see the luxuries decoration and peaceful atmosphere of the Café with good customer services. it was fantastic, Coffee was great, Sandwiches were fresh and serving presentation was very nice and more then anything my girl was great with all her manners and first meeting went very well.We are still meeting each other during our lunch time from now on & I am in love with both now ........ My Girl & obliviously Sun Street Café

I have visited Sun Street Cafe many times, it's one of my regular tasks! The drinks served there are lovely and I've never had to complain! To add to that, the Cafe is always spotlessly clean, which always makes it pleasant to be there!

The chairs are really really uncomfortable - none of the chairs fit the tables properly so the table ends up being to short to eat from. The toilets are dirty.I ordered a mocha and took 1 sip and had to leave it because it tasted so bad. And as for their cakes all being cooked fresh - is lies. You can find all their 'fresh cakes' being sold in tescos for a fraction of the price! They obviously buy their cakes st tescos in the morning and sell them at 3 times the price.

This is such a lovely cafe in Waltham Abbey, its welcoming the food and coffees are great. They make fresh juices. I often pop in with my toddler and always welcomed and they have games for the children to play. It makes a change from the greasy spoon Cafes in Sun Street.

The food in this country side cafe is delicious and reasonable. I ordered a No. 2 and recommend that to everyone who needs a balance of meat and carbs. The staff is very friendly and interactive. It's a small cafe with good vibes and ambience to take a break in or to visit when you have reached Abridge cycling or long distance running. Surrounded by vast green lands it has an inner seating with a deck for dogs just outside. Just adjacent to the cafe there is a nursery with a huge variety of plants too. Food is mainly English breakfast and sandwiches 🥪.

Me and 3 members of my family came here for a breakfast and it is truly a nice place to eat, there is a nice atmosphere and a wonderful smell when you enter. Our food was delicious and we definitely would come back. Even though we came from about 45 minutes away and it was worth the drive. My food was about £9.50 and it really did fill me up. Tip - if there is no parking spots at the restraint park at the pub next door. You will have to pay £2 though for parking.
