The Hub Cafe at Moira Furnace saved us with warm space indoors and quick service. There is a sunny area outside that traps the warmth even on this the coldest of subzero days. There is a nice pottery

Was camping nearby at Conkers caravan and camping site and popped in to use the cafe. There are signs apologising that the YHA building is no longer open to non residents and they do not have a cafe

Such a shame this placed has closed down. It was much needed in the area. Looks like Moira will remain the place where the shoe warehouse was instead of something more positive.

This area is getting better all the time, including for wildlife. We were road cycling and have previously gravel cycled for which the many trails are terrific. A largely offroad ride from Hicks Lodge
