The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Four of us and two babies ate there in August. We had hotpot - one of our party is from Szechuan, home of spicy Chinese food and hotpot. Really enjoyed the cook-it-yourself at table experience and service is friendly .... but ... How many non Chinese know what hotpot is ? Most other customers were Chinese one pair of English having standard Chinese menu foods. Come on owners.....sell the Hotpot to non-chinese, ....Do a beginners menu with help and instruction from the staff before Leeds loses this experience it never knew it had!

Avoid at all costs, this place is awful the food either isn't cooked, raw onions unseasonal salt and pepper chips, or salt and pepper chicken that you could break your teeth on and a curry that had slimy chicken that I wouldn't even feed to my worst enemy! Binning it and ordering from somewhere else because I want to wake up in the morning!!!

Shocking just how BAD this place has become. I ordered a special curry which was a warmed up curry from a day or 2 before that they didn’t sell it was absolutely disgusting and tasteless nothing it seems is cooked from fresh it’s all pre cooked and it’s sat in a hot cupboard and used days later. The prices are so expensive and to charge the prices they do for frozen chips is beyond disgusting this USED TO BE the best Chinese takeaway in Yorkshire when they made their homemade chunky chips and every dish was prepared from scratch, now it’s no different to the lower end takeaways you see around where they buy very cheap ingredients . I will never step foot in here again it’s criminal what they have done to this takeaway it’s best days are now well behind it AVOID AVOID AVOID

We had an evening meal at the Great Horton Road branch, we ate 2 curries, a meat curry and a chicken curry, we ate in house upstairs in a very comfortable environment,we we had excellent service by Ahman, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been here a few times now and always nice , salt and peper chicken always nice , will definitely be back and would definitely recommend

I have been a student in York for a few months now and this is the only restaurant that gets me through the semester exams without having a panic attack!!Absolutely amazing staff and the food is always 10/10.Definitely a must try in york!

Excelente comida china preparada mientras espera. Un toque personal con alimentos cocinados individualmente no producidos en masa con porciones grandes. Lo puntuaría con 10 sobre 10 por la calidad bien hecha.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Food was cold, chicken was raw! There were hairs in the food and the curry sauce was congealed and like thick paste! The duck didn’t come with anything as it said and was fatty and greasy. This has made my friend ill and we will never return and we urge others not to!!

Waited over an hour for my meal. Phoned up and they stated another 30 minutes. When asked again how much they stated £15,30 for one meal. One course. They clearly have a captive audience. Not in my world they dont. Shocking service (nearly) and the lady on the phone didnt give a dam. Not her fault I'm sure.

Rubbish customer service, great food but bad in explaining pricing! Apparently you’re charged extra for an internet order the same as you are for telephone orders even when collecting. Bulls Skimming money

I made an order to be delivered to my home address and was told they would be my delivery would be within half hour, after an hour We wrung back and asked where our order was, we were told it's on the way now, we asked why it had not been delivered by now the reply was we told you an hour for delivery after arguing the point we were told off by the operator. After the meal was delivered, I ate my starter, then straight on to the mains, beef chow main which was so very bland I could have been sick there was no taste and if it were not for the fact that we were told we lied about the delivery, the by person taking orders we thought it was better not to complain to the takeaway as they took no notice of our first complaint. We find this takeaway an awful place to eat from and would advise you all to go elsewhere

Siempre hemos pedido una comida para llevar de Benny's cuando hemos estado de vacaciones en Scarborough, así que hicimos lo mismo a través de Just Eat este año. Estábamos alojados en una granja en la cima de una colina, así que me pregunté si nuestra orden sería aceptada, pero lo fue. El repartidor estaba muy disgustado por tener que entregar en nuestra ubicación y fue extremadamente grosero sobre la distancia que había tenido que recorrer. Nuestra comida estaba bien, pero no estaba a la altura de los estándares habituales de Benny, así que probablemente no volveremos a utilizarlos, especialmente si volvemos a la misma ubicación.

I can’t say it’s the best and I can’t say it’s the worst Chinese I’ve had, ordered a duck in orange sauce which wasn’t too bad but not the best …Although there was more orange peel then there was duck, but the rice that came with it was like manufactured plastic rubber rice, The more I ate it the worse it became…. I will never eat here ever again that’s my first experience… they also did not accept contactless payment which in my eyes during this pandemic is totally wrong all they wanted was hard cash.

Simple meals that are cooked whilst you wait or collected if you have phoned ahead. I go for chicken Cantonese style in a sweet and sour sauce. Sometimes with boiled rice, sometimes with chips. Same price to sit in, sometimes take away. They have a range from curries to my choice and everything in between. Chilled drinks in the fridge. No toilets. Seating for about a dozen folks. My meal cost £5 or £6.80 with two choices. Other offers available. Why not try it if you are not expecting Cordon Bleu.
