Each dish was lovely, clearly freshly cooked, delicious and full of flavour not last nights leftovers reheated as I’ve had at other takeaways

The delivery was quick however the ribs did not look edible they were shiny and rock solid the food was cold on arrival

missed my can of tango. said they was going to refund me for it and still havent.

Ordered having been told 35-50 minute wait for delivery. Ended up waiting 2hours and 20 minutes.

i ordered beef in schezwan sauce and i got it in sweet and sour sauce and the salt and pepper chips was rock solid and the chicken balls was soggy only thing what was nice was the spring rolls and they was free

Our order was accepted online they took the money then texted 10 minutes later to say they had cancelled our order and we have to wait upto 5 Days for a refund ! After ringing to ask why, we were told they are too busy so cannot deliver. Nothing they could do about getting the £30 back we had to wait . Then said we could collect the order in 15 minutes but would have to pay again as it would be a new order . Other companies will not accept orders online if they are too busy, it tells you before you order. But china house like to take your money then make you wait a week for a refund!

Got the duck which was very nice but didn’t get any pancakes with it unfortunately but the rest of the food was absolutely spot on

Order was earlier than expected with everything hot and fresh. Nicest Chinese by a mile. Never had a missing item and always get a couple of freebies! The portions are also great sizes

Food arrived before time stated for delivery. Usually when ordering from other places there is normally one dish that stands out but from China house I really enjoyed all the dishes I ordered. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

There was some items missing they sent someone else's order first then had to come back and change it it was a rendors Neva uade abad experience like it with ording on just eat.

Very disappointing... Not worth the £30.00 it cost. Duck tasteless and hardly any meat on it... definitely not crispy... not enough plum SAUCE what was there was thick and gloopy... S&S chicken virtually tasteless... rice debatable... The bin enjoyed the rest!! And why do I get a very large spring roll with the duck, then another 4 little ones in a bag?? Never again.

Steak was like rubber all food was smothered in pepper chips was missing,poor quality over priced Would not recommend

Delivery time estimated was 8.15pm to 8.35pm but food arrived at 8.55pm Quite annoyed the app said delivered at 8.20pm .... whe it clearly hadn't been delivered

Food is normally always nice but it was cold. The wrong order and 15 mins late! When ringing to advise the customer service was poor. Sadly will not be going back now.

After having a good experience I ordered again and was waiting over a hour so I checked to see if my delivery was delayed only to find they had cancelled my order without reason. Because we loved the food today I have made an order hopefully this time I will receive it and I can come back an adjust my review.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Meat was like jelly and tasteless. Wouldn’t give it my dog to eat. Never again will I go there.

What a disappointment, it's bad when the only eadable things are the free mini spring rolls and prawn crackers. The chicken satay had a really bad smell, the satay sauce was off and smelt of vinagre, the noodles where caked in oil and the egg roll was just that a roll with hardly any filling in it. Pretty much left it all apart from the boiled rice.

Everything was either too dry and over cooked or cold and swimming in sauce

What dreadful service, from the food to the staff. My husband ordered and collected beef and mushroom meal, ribs and vegetable rice, when we opened it up they had forgotten to put the beef in the beef and mushroom consequently we had a tray of mushrooms, the ribs were tiny off cuts with no meat on them placed on a tray full of onions! I called them to say how dissatisfied I was and requested a refund, the young lady said it is our policy for you bring the meal back and we will refund, I said I will but not tonight as I live 5 miles away so put the money in an envelope i will collect later in the week with said appalling food, I asked to speak to the owner and she said they don’t speak English and consequently put the phone down on me. I will not be ordering food from there again but I will be calling for my refund

Duck was crucified and had been deep fried , it dry and greasy . The salt and pepper box for two for £16 has shrunk it used to have chips as well and come in a pizza box was half the size . All in all very very disappointing

Came in great time, delivery driver was nice and the food was great. They even threw in some spring rolls and prawn crackers. Can't complain!

Ribs was literally bone no meat on and the special balls were that battered you had to break the batter off to get to the inside

Arrived a dish short. They were quick to accept their error but by time they had brought the missing dish (lemon chicken) we had already finished our meal and didn’t want to continue as what we had already had was terrible. The sweet and sour dish was essentially the same source/dish as the Cantonese style. The general quality was very poor. We threw 70% of it in the bin.

needs to be desired on boiled rice was more like a sticky mass of rice, chips cold, chicken balls were like battered fish but in chicken breast form rather than portion sized balls. Wonton soup, had no flavour apart from heap garlic at the bottom and no veg in the soup as I have had many wonton soup in past. Abysmal food preparation. Will not order again from here.

Chow main and won ton soup were fantastic and the egg fried rice was beautiful great costomer service to top it all off will definitely be ordering again 😊😊

The prawn toast was burnt and the chow main was freezing cold apart from the mushrooms so must have heated them up , absolutely awful total waste of money

Things to improve: Seaweed was inedible - soggy and sour tasting. Prawn toasts were rubbery. Sweet and sour sauce was incredibly sweet and tasted like liquid Skittles. Very peculiar. Things to Praise: Spare ribs were excellent. Beef in black bean sauce and Kung Po chicken were also very tasty and well cooked. The rice was fluffy and flavourful..

Ordered Fillet Steak Cantonese style. First time I've ever ordered and it tasted like it did. It was more like a sweet n sour and didn't taste same as others I'd had

Really disappointing. The food was all cold (probably as it took 90 mins to arrive) and I specifically asked for no bean sprouts in the noodles in the request but I swear there was ‘extra’ in there! Sorry but won’t bother again.

Have ordered from China House for years. Lovely food, quick delivery. My only complaint was that we didn’t get the right food (mushroom curry instead or king prawn curry) and the pork in the roast pork curry was very fatty

After the last time waiting 2 hours... to call and be told the order had "disappeared" and did we want to just cancel...we then waited another 40 mins for them to "prioritize" the order and they chucked in a bottle of coke as compensation (that we dont drink) i said i wouldnt go there again. Gave them benefit of the doubt 5 months on and tried again. Food was all cold. Had to heat it up....then realised wrong sauce sent. Dont know who has taken over this place but theyre doing a rubbish job! The reviews are awful

I had a special chow mein which arrived warm, the button mushrooms were all freezing in the middle. The egg fried rice was just soggy boiled rice with huge Lumps of egg thrown into the mix. I also had a salt and pepper box at £9.90 and what a waste of money that was!!!!! All the chicken was missing bar one chicken wing. The king prawns were just soggy mush in soggy batter. I phoned and explained and was told I would have a new meal cooked that would be much better. Within 15 minutes a "fresh" meal arrived that was exactly the same. Would definitely stay away, vile food and well overpriced never been a Chinese takeaway

The order was placed at 17.20 was delivered at 19.30. Phoned the take away twice to be told both times it’s just left so won’t be long. Everything was cold, some of the items were missing. Won’t be ordering again from them - would like a refund please.

Asked for mushroom fried rice and shredded beef. Instead got some sort of mushroom in some sauce and another portion of sweet and sour chicken. Which i never ordered. Tried ringing at least 5 times on mine and my partners phone and no answer. Based on the reviews, we won't be ordering here again as it's happened twice with us now.

Always late and long wait time! Poor instruction from staff! Good food but always running late!! Usually wait time for order is an hour, but then often it won't arrive till half an hour+ after the maximum time stated on the app! Called restaurant twice to chase up order and then just said they had nothing to do with the delivery!! Not helpful and seem to lack any interest or appreciation for custom. Affects the enjoyment of the food!!

Expensive for what you get. Salt & pepper ribs - very little meat on the bones. Salt & pepper shredded chicken - tasted ok, but more veg than chicken - rip off at £7.60. Delivery on time.

Food arrived on time but unfortunately found it luke warm and abit soggy. I've found the food to be like this over the last few occasions of ordering from here, think we'll give it a miss next time.

Great Food - My only criticism; that prices seem to have gone up, and change depending on which app you use to order.
