The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North West

I was in the mood for a Chinese take away. Having tried a few uninspiring places in the area, I was not expecting great things. Then I saw Maxim House. What a joy. The food was absolutely delicious - exactly what I have been looking for. Not only that - but they provide a proper meal - not a spoonful in a down-sized tray. Well done Maxim House. I will certainly be going back to you when I fancy a really good and plentiful Chinese meal.

The food is amazing it’s as good if not better than most of it’s Manchester contemporaries With it being a take away and take away food doesn’t always travel well it’s crazy how good the food is from TukTuk

Very tasty, arrived on time. Really enjoyed the food. Had the dim sum combo with sweet and sour chicken balls, rice and chips. There was enough for 3 people, so couldn't eat it all but I will enjoy the rest warmed up tomorrow. So much cheaper to call the restaurant rather than just eat. Will definitely buy again.

The best Chinese we’ve had. Delicious high quality food and great value for money. Food is always ready within 15 minutes even in peak times

We had Special sweet & sour with B/R & Hot chow mein plus the best ever Prawn Crackers Ever. Fantastic people who run the Takeaway.

Pedí el brisket de Rendang con Mie Goreng, con una bebida de té de jazmín de miel. El Brisket no era estupendo, de mala calidad, carne grasa. El "Mie goreng" eran solo fideos instantáneos, muy baratos. El té estaba bien, pero muy caro. Definitivamente no obtuve la calidad que pagué.

Ordered duck fried rice and salt pepper chicken wings. I had to throw the rice out it was so bad. Slowboat is way better.. never again. The chicken is so dry too never again

Visited on 11/05 whilst in the area on trip down memory lane.Ordered king prawn satay and fried rice.Was prepared swiftly and was an excellent meal that lived up to expectations.It’s tucked away but worth seeking out.Recommended.

Perfect spot for late night chinese food, I would recommend anyone that fancies a visit in Manchester to come visit, it is under Genting Casino!

While in the area and feeling peckish we decided to give this Chinese takeaway a visit, the premises appeared very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was served quickly and was tasted extremely fresh, we both would have no problem in recommending this takeaway to anyone whilst in the area.

Because they use their own drivers food arrives hot Excellent!

The worst fish and chips we've ever had. Virtually no fish inside a thick coating of overcooked dry and brittle batter. It must have been in the heated cabinet for hours. At £13.60 for 2 ghastly fish and a portion of chips it wasn't cheap. Never again! Horrible.

Honestly one of the worst meals I've had we had Banquet B and Banquet C on our table. The sweetcorn soup no one could eat it was so thick and gloopy we had to send it back. We found a hair in one of the spring rolls the crab claw was inedible. The chicken curry was a bowl of onions in bland sauce. Both the chicken cashew and King prawn were in a disgusting gloopy sauce and the chicken was like rubber the sweet and sour chicken was ok we did raise all our issues at the time and 10% was taken off the bill the staff are lovely but after spending £170 for 4 of us unfortunately we will not be returning. Its such a shame as here used to be a family favourite. Maybe there has been a change of chef or they have simply lowered their standards now serving disgusting frozen food. I would give 0 stars if I could.

We had the vegetarian menu, which was absolutely delicious and definitely the best Chinese restaurant out of China that I’ve been to. Very diverse and freshly prepared meals. The staff was super lovely and attentive and took care of our vegetarian diet. Will come back!
