The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North West

Place was fully loaded, but they offered place at a bar and served super nice lunch. Portions are not for one, be ready. However they offered place take away if you want so. Very kind and attentive service.

Been here quite a few times and ordered takeaways but sadly something was really lacking tonight (midweek). Next to no meat in the Black Pepper Sauce dishes and sides were cold. Disappointing.

We went to Rainbow 88 for the Sunday buffet as a party of 7 and a baby. Food was okay, service was fine. My issue was the charge when the bill arrived for my one year old of £8. When we asked about this we were told rather abruptly that it's 'on the menu' well yes it is on the menu but we presumed this was a charge for children who are actually eating the buffet. No this is a 'donation' enforced on all your children even the ones who aren't actually eating. I have never been to a restaurant that sticks a donation on the end of your bill for a baby. Yes it's for the Christie, yes it's for a good cause but £8 for a baby to sit there?! Bizarre. Oh and I had to change my babies nappy on 2 pushed together chairs in the women's toilet under the hand dryer as they have no baby change facilities. Very unhygienic and unsafe. All in all we have been a few times as a family for birthdays etc but I don't think we will go again. Or maybe we will go back when my child can actually eat so he can get good value out of his £8 donation. The Magician was great

Takeaway after a lovely pre-birthday afternoon, clearly popular with repeat customer locals and recommended by the pub next door. Lovely special curry and, even better, Thai shredded beef. Served with soft noodles and fried rice and topped up with a small complimentary pack of prawn crackers. One of the best Chinese takeaway meals we’ve had. Cash or credit card payment.

Ordered a take away. Poor quality of food. Chicken was tasteless and soggy. Duck was dry as a bone. Pancakes rock hard. Curry tasted like powder. Absolutely shocking food. My partner called back to ask why his plain dish was not plain, after that conversation we was that mad at the state of it at 7pm at night we decided to let you keep our money and bin the lot.

Food came cold, ordered spicy chicken but to them this means absolutely drown the plain chicken in 2 million chilli flakes. Wouldn’t really call this Chinese, not sure what cuisine it falls under really. Do not recommend unless you like eating 2KG of chilli flakes with a side of plain chicken and noodles.

Unusual to find a Chinese restaurant with this quality outside a big city. The owner worked in one of the best Chinese in Manchester which explains why it is so good.

Party of seven in a busy environment where excellent service and very good food and selections / the restaurant is very good and was full which says a good deal given many restaurants chasing customers after busy Christmas times

The gyoza here is delicious. The fried rice had a weak taste and I felt like there wasn't enough salt and pepper, but considering the cost performance, I think it's enough.

Wow! What a find , this has been a great experience! We had Mini Starter, Ribs in Honey sauce, 1/4 Crispy Duck, Chicken in Green Pepper n Black Bean sauce, Chicken Curry, fried rice The tastiest Chinese meal we have had actually! Portions are generous and the flavours were outstanding. Please don’t judge the front of the shop as the business is in the back and you can see all the cooking going on too!! Prices are standard and cheaper than others around the area.

Love getting a takeaway from here when I'm visiting family nearby. The salt and pepper bean curd is phenomenal.

I visited this restaurant in early December with my friend, were were after a relaxing few hours and a great restaurant experience not had chinese for a while. When we entered the restaurant we noticed how cold the temperature was, it was only 6pm so we thought maybe but hadn't been open long. We ordered a beer each from the waitress and then very soon after was asked 3 times if we were Ready to order , a bit pressured we thought. Also the wine list had disappeared from the table and had to ask twice for it. We ordered our banquet and awaited our soup, this was tasteless, iv never had to add salt to chicken & Sweetcorn soup! Our red wine arrived and it was freezing cold! I mentioned this to the waitress and she said "well it's not been in the fridge". Our combination course of ribs, spring rolls and seaweed was really nice but the mains were not, tough pork balls and chewy chicken. Untill we asked for a break the meal was very rushed. We didn't enjoy the experience and won't be returning.

I love this Chinese restaurant .. Its a half hour drive from my home but we love coming here.. lovely food and lovely service 😊
