The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North West

Unusual to find a Chinese restaurant with this quality outside a big city. The owner worked in one of the best Chinese in Manchester which explains why it is so good.

Fabulous restaurant, excellent friendly and helpful staff and wonderful food. Wish I had discovered this restaurant years ago. Will definitely return!

Excellent food and service to match. Very knowledgable and patient in helping my wife choose starter and main as she is gluten free. Food and drinks arrived very promptly. It was busy, so there was a nice buzz of conversation but not too loud and we never struggled to get the attention of waiting on staff, who were exceedingly polite and friendly. We didn't feel rushed when they were with us despite them being rushed off their feet themselves. Everything we had was superb, but the stand outs were the dry shredded beef, the sizzling lamb and the paper wrapped prawn starter. Oh, and the ribs! Wonderful evening and we will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Been going for about 4-5 years and hands down the best Chinese in the Stockport area. Food is sublime. Service is fantastic. I just love it. It’s seriously that good. Well done everyone and thanks for making my birthday so special.

Good food, plenty of choice on the menu.

I visited this restaurant in early December with my friend, were were after a relaxing few hours and a great restaurant experience not had chinese for a while. When we entered the restaurant we noticed how cold the temperature was, it was only 6pm so we thought maybe but hadn't been open long. We ordered a beer each from the waitress and then very soon after was asked 3 times if we were Ready to order , a bit pressured we thought. Also the wine list had disappeared from the table and had to ask twice for it. We ordered our banquet and awaited our soup, this was tasteless, iv never had to add salt to chicken & Sweetcorn soup! Our red wine arrived and it was freezing cold! I mentioned this to the waitress and she said "well it's not been in the fridge". Our combination course of ribs, spring rolls and seaweed was really nice but the mains were not, tough pork balls and chewy chicken. Untill we asked for a break the meal was very rushed. We didn't enjoy the experience and won't be returning.

5 of us dined and we all enjoyed the food, however the service was not quite up to scratch. When we arrived at 6.40, 5 mins early, the restaurant was very busy, however the waiting-on staff should have approached us earlier than the 30 minutes it took them. When they finally arrived, they took the drinks and food order together. 4 of us ordered a banquet and 1 a starter and mains. The drinks arrived quickly apart from the jug of water, which I had to request twice. The banquet starters arrived but the single starter didn't. It was finally served with the mains. The portions were just enough, no more, no less, so no waste. When you book a table you'll be asked to pay a deposit. I said on the night "I bet they don't deduct the deposit from the bill and sure enough I was correct. Nice atmosphere but the aforementioned service issues affected the size of the tip we left.

El servicio fue excelente, pero un poco decepcionado con la comida. Tenía gambas estilo Hong Kong agridulces. La comida era Luke caliente y la salsa era demasiado mojado. Mi amiga estaba decepcionada con su plato de fideos. Demasiado ajo. Esperamos que mejore en nuestra próxima visita.

Myself, my girlfriend 2 others visited this place on Friday night on walking in the smell of damp and stale water was shocking, there was a manky hand written sign on the door stating that the place was due to close in November due to retirement ! When we was shown to our table the smell was shocking there was damp patches above our table and it was clear to see vents had been installed to allow air to flow along the joists however this meant the stinking air was released into the dining area. On ordering drinks we was told certain drinks where not available which was not a good start. I have to say the food was not too bad but far from the best I have had. My girlfriend and her friend went to the toilets, which had no lights, where dirty and smelt dreadful nearly causing my girlfriend to be physically sick. I went into the gents and it was the same no basic cleaning had been done in my opinion for a long time ! I personally think this place is not closing due to retirement but more down to the fact it needs a lot of money spending on it and they clearly do not want to bother, the staff member who served us was only a young girl and said she did not take food orders and she was only there to serve drinks so we had to wait to have our order taken. It is a good thing that this is closing down as it is dreadful place to sit and eat. It cost us over £100 for food and drinks and is over priced in my opinion !

Perfect every time we go. I’ve lived in the area for around 3 years and Gordon’s was highly recommended by a friend, I stupidly didn’t go for at least a year, but once I did try it I refuse to go elsewhere. The staff are always lovely too, very kind and communicative.

Very happy to stumble across Century during our one night stay in Kirby Steven. Fantastic food and great service. They managed to squeeze us in after we turned up without a booking. My beef in black bean was very good.

Best chippy ever. Jenny and Liv (the blonde girl) are so lovely, and the food is just unreal 🥰🥰🥰

Excelente restaurante muy buena comida excelente personal amable, ambiente bastante relajado, buena selección en un gran menú. Lo recomendaría si usted está buscando un chino.
