Pekingese special, sadly not special in any way. Too many onions, poor quality meat, undercooked carrot. Pretty tasteless overall and very disappointed considering reviews seen. Spoilt by Golden Dragon in Southport knocked spots off this place.

Just ordered a foo yung really looking forward to eating it at home. Then realised they had given me gravy instead of curry!!! Not going there ever again!! Really really poor. Don't go you will be disappointed!!

Great chippy this. Very friendly staff. Food is always spot on. Usually have sweet and sour, curry or salt and pepper dishes on a Saturday tea time. Also do an excellent fish n chips. I always ring ahead as can get very busy. Good parking right outside. A busy chippy is a good chippy. Nuff said.

My boyfriend and I went to County fish Bar in Ormskirk earlier and I purchased Chips. Fish and peas for us both.When I asked the girl behind the counter if they were mush peas she looked at me as if I was stupid and replied I think so. The meal cost me £15.60. Which I thought was absolutely disgusting. When we got home my boyfriend looked at his meal with disgust and said these peas are not mushy peas and they were as hard as anything. The meals were absolutely disgusting for the price I paid for them and we certainly won't be going there again as the standard of the food as gone right down . We were both very disappointed as we were both looking forward to a lovely fish. Chips and peas. But we were very disappointed and we won't be going there again in the future.

Disgusting the fish was cold didn’t taste right my dog didn’t even want to eat it that says something I’d avoid this place unhygienic on the food can you imagine what else goes on Many better chippys about

I visited tonight and noticed instantly it was really busy, I’ve worked in a chip shop before so i know how it can get but the manageress was literally screaming at the girls working on the front alongside her. They all seemed really stressed and flustered which I totally understand when it’s peak time and lots of orders to do but i did feel bad for the girls on the front. Ordered a large chips also and there was nothing large about it. Food was hot and nice though so can’t complain about that.

Bad experience this evening. Ordered two small fish and chips, sausage chips and gravy and spring rolls. Stood there whilst they did other orders. Then sat down. Twenty minutes later still no food. Went to ask where my order was - they totally forgot about it. Absolute chaos. Straightforward order that couldn’t been done there and then but wasn’t, instead cracked on with everything else and totally forgot. Did apologise but no discount for making me stand like a lemon for that time which would’ve been a nice gesture. Probably won’t be going again despite it being my local chippy and the food wasn’t even that nice when it eventually arrived

Revolting, avoid. The staff who were on were very lovely however.

Just popped in tonight for the first time in about 18 months (covid n stuff) had my dog with me so I secured him to one of the posts outside, my dog is large and loud but friendly. While I was ordering my food I was treated to a series of "looks" from the particularly sullen young lady behind the counter that would of made me think that my dog had just eaten several babies! I only wanted fish and chips, not petty judgementalism of the ill informed, will not be a returning customer.

The Chinese meals are always pretty good and the chippy is always busy which is always a good sign.

Heavy scran but would of been better with a touch of bbq sauce that I received at the bottom of the carrier bag, the same stuff that made its way all over the interior of my car. 4/10, would reccomend to anyone who loves their scran loose in a plazzy bag and all over their freshly cleaned whip. Won't be returning for a scran any time soon.

First time visiting since my usual place is still closed due to quarantine but OMG this place is my new favourite And will be returning!!! The food is amazing!!!!! I live about a 20 min walk away and it is worth the walk there and back for it! Such great prices too and the quality! My first bite I was said to my partner this is so amazing!!! I had the sweet and sour chicken and probably the best one I have ever eaten! Worth more than 5 stars and will definitely be returning next Saturday!!!!!!!

This is a great take away for any day of the week. The staff are always friendly, but busy. The food is always hot and fresh whether you order over the phone or go in person. There is a large menu which is accessible on line.It is a busy takeaway so can have queues at times. I always think this is a good sign of a good product or service and a wait does not phase me. There are a limited number of parking spaces outside but more on street. If you are in the area and are hungry, give it a try.

An old Fish and chip shop which has changed hands over the years many times. Now it serves Chinese meals as takeaways. I remember this Fish and Chip shop back in the 50's.

Rang up to ask for another fish as mine was practically hollow, returned to be told that was a normal portion size, no apology, other fish was the same, also got two tablespoons of hoisin sauce with my duck, asked for more and was told that was enough and if I want another nextime I must pay, for the sake of 20ps worth of sauce, u would think they would just apologise for my return custome, rude people and vile food

I ordered cheese burger with salad, burger was awful, husband ordered beef and mushrooms with chips, chip's ok beef and mushrooms covered in garlic ? Won't return

I have been coming here for years and i love it! the staff are brilliant, super fast and will help you if you have any questions. the food is great and reasonably priced. Fish is always fresh and huge!! chinese is brill too. will always come to county fish bar!

Fish was very dry and the chips tasted as if they was cooked yesterday sorry but could not recommend
