Food excellent, but service very slow and orders placed after ours being made ready before ours

Great takeaway. Chicken satay with fried rice along with a portion of salt and pepper chips. East enough for two people.

Ordered £35 of food Saturday, pork curry was very runny and full of onions,the pork was very tough. No egg in my egg fried rice.king prawn chow mein only had 4 prawns and again watery sauce.sweet & sour sauce very pale and runny. Whole meal was a disappointment! Definitely won't be going here again!

Great Chinese use at least once a week

Food quality of late has gone very poor, it was always previously very reliable. Not sure what has changed as its a shame I wasted 60 pounds here on Wednesday night

Poor quality meat - i ordered a combo box and all of the ribs were just fat. I rang up to tell them and was told that the ribs shouldn’t have been fat so I’m assuming they thought I was making it up. They then told me to bring the food back to them for them to remake it and when I explained I couldn’t leave the house (childcare) they simply just said sorry - not, we will rectify it next time I visit. This phone call lasted ages too. I feel they’ve just made me jump through hoops with no satisfactory outcome.

This is my favourite Chinese and have been going since the day it opened love in Skelmersdale now so unfortunately don't get one as often as I want to as I don't drive it would be brilliant if they could start a delivery service

Most accomodating take-away / people I've ever met. I have a lot of allergies (including gluten or soy), and they are absolutely amazing at looking after me, making sure I can try different dishes. Literally the most amazing family run place ever. Thank you for looking after me!

Absolutely disgusting and put in the bin. I ordered crispy chilli chicken and salt and Peper chips. The chicken was soggy and the chips where dry and not salt and pepper. No chilli in either. Wont be ordering again. If I could give it no stars I would have.

such lovely staff and the food was impeccable!! 10/10 the salt and pepper chicken was unreal. sadly we had no forks at home and the staff provided us with some.

Placed telephone order and it was ready for me to collect very quickly. Person who served me was very polite and helpful. Food as always, was delicious. I won't be going anywhere else for my curry. I would highly recommend them.

Shambles Order was wrong again.. missing items..plus Chicken fried rice had no chicken in it..was Egg fried rice 🙄 good job I'm not allergic to Egg.. definitely won't be ordering from there again..!!😊

The Fortuna UpHolland is extremely clean both inside and out. Staff are very kind and helpful and are also trained to deal with your allergies.

For me the UpHolland shop is Not as good as Fortuna in Old Skem unfortunately. But when you can’t drive and neither deliver or use delivery services theres not a lot of choice!

I come here every Saturday. I’m always met with a warm welcome by a member of staff called Harvey. The customer service here is absolutely amazing and i would highly recommend. The food is astounding too. If i could give more than 5 stars i would. They also have a 5 star hygiene rating.

Fantastic Chinese take away. Been coming for years. Went yesterday, was a little bit short but the owner agreed to throw in some prawn crackers. Always fresh, always hot, always tasty. Superb.

Had an order mix up a week ago, telephoned them and it was dealt with very professionally by Jonathan. That said the food was lovely. We have been back tonight and again lovely food and great service. Many thanks.

only a few minutes from my house this is somewhere we get takeouts a lot, my favourite is chicken chow mein which is really good, all the usual stuff is there and well worth a go

Never usually have a problem with this takeaway but fancied a change tonight. Ordered sweet n sour chicken. Never again, sloppy thin strips of chicken in batter, which was soft and not crispy. Tasted awful, no sweetness but strong overwhelming taste of pepper. Called them asking if they’d changed their menu or cook, which they haven’t. So if you like your sweet and sour DON’T go here.

Chips are always frozen and never fresh. Doesn't take bank cards - one has to wonder why in 2019. Much better takeaways nearby.

Service somewhat hit and miss, both over the phone (put on hold then cut off) and in person (order not processed) requiring otherwise unnecessary wait. Reasonable menu, albeit not particularly cheap and the food itself is generally good. Cash only (though there is a cash machine outside).

We ordered chicken fried rice and bbq sauce and there was only 2 pieces of chicken in it just rice mostly. The bbq sauce tasted like chicken gravy it was to runny we would not come back. Only good thing was service was quick.

Ordered food for a pick up....got there at the time specified by the staff...had to wait an extra 25 minuets as food wasn’t ready. Got home and the salt and pepper chips were actually chips and chopped onions and the chicken was like rubber... Phoned Fortuna as the food was a disgrace and staff said “we have a new chef on” I returned with the food and was met by 4 staff.. the took the food in the back of the shop and returned to tell me this was their standard of food... Reluctantly the manager refunded me after I stood my ground.. this was the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted and I will never return.

Delicious food, great customer service at front counter, free car parking opposite (just across the road). Can be a little pricey. Next to a pizza/kebab shop, bookmakers and convenience store. They don't do deliveries, but they take phone orders for pick up.

Just moved into the area and got a takeaway from here will definitely be back..... Food was excellent and staff in shop are very pleasant

At first the sound of the lady over the phone was matchless. She was very helpful and kind. The food was pipping hot and tasty. Delivery quick as well. As a Chef i definitely would recommend Fortuna Chinese for everyone who is looking for a great and fast food in the area. Enjoy

Been here a few times and it is just average. It is a pain to park and then get across the busy road but we would come again.

This as got to be one of the best Chinese takeaway in Lancashire, bbq pork chicken and beansprouts with fried rice was very tasty. Didn't wait long for my order and there is a car park opposite the shop,going again next week.

Visited Fortuna for the 1st time in about 5 years. Absolutely delicious and the 5 rating for food hygiene says it all. Brilliant and well done to the guys at Fortuna ❤

We use Fortuna on many occasions and the food is consistently good, would highly record the crispy duck and the crispy chili beef too.

This is the best Chinese by far, can fault the place, the chicken satay is tremendous.

We used this takeaway whilst on holiday in Uphollland. Didn't wait too ong, varied menu, friendly staff. No problems at all.

I really like the chilli chicken and salt and pepper chips from here. Vermicelli also very good. Prices are pretty standard for the area and the service is normally quick

Once again the order is wrong. Just got in. Paid for chicken curry and rice, what did I get? Chips and rice with curry poured over it. Too far to walk back to complain. Too tired and hungry. 2 Nd time. No more visits to this shop

The food in this place is always OK, but is nothing spectacular for sure. It is often very busy, so expect quite a wait at busy times.

I have been using this chinese for the past 14 years and can honestly say it's the best in the area. Food always good. Have sometimes mixed up the order, but usually sort it out with you. Fantastic x

There are 3 things wrong with this place. 1 . Overpriced 2 . Very small amount of meat. 3. Understaffed so long wait.

Great little takeaway. We usually order over the phone and it's always ready when we get there but still hot when we get it home. Food is always good and would thoroughly recommend.

I've only just noticed fortuna on trip advisor or would left a review long ago. We've been going here for years and it's excellent, the food is great, full of flavour, good portions and reasonably priced.

It's average food and disappointingly they don't do proper chips. Nothing to shout about, but not on to avoid either

gloppy soup, fatty ribs, over spiced satay that it was impossible to eat and I like spicy food. over cooked extremely chewy sweet and sour meat of unknown source, could be chicken, could be pork could even be dog impossible to tell. other dish which was chicken and something was ok the bean sprouts were fine. Not a prawn, water chestnut or bamboo shoots in sight. Not a patch on how it used to be. Has completely put me off ever eating another chinese ever!Very overpriced
