Great food. NOT a chippy, a Chinese takeaway, so no fish, sausage, pie etc. Remember that before you go. It is very good Chinese takeaway food!!

Cheungs is the best. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, (the salt and pepper sui mai are unbelievable! So is the crispy chilli beef....and everything else we ordered!) but equally importantly, the team are absolutely lovely. Every time I go in, they are so kind. Amazing service from start to finish. Could not recommend them any higher. Thank you, Cheungs, for being fantastic xxx

Food was amazing. Me and two friends ordered from here for the first time today and will certainly be ordering again. Our service was great with accurate timing on when to pick up our food from lovely and welcoming people.

Really friendly staff and really tasty food. Food as ready as soon as we arrived after ordering online. The food as double bagged and we where given complimentary prawn crackers and fortune cookies witch was a welcome suprise. Food as still hot when we got home. My favourite local Chinese take away

absolutely appalling....the worst Chinese i have ever had...despite the appearance of looking authentic and having people of Chinese heritage....I only wish I had read the previous reviews....I laughed before I got my meal when I noticed thec3 hygiene rating prominently displayed on the window...everything was poor, I would have taken it all back, but didn't want to put one step inside the place again...

They are lovely people - they even included a little Christmas/New Year gift all wrapped up in our takeaway and a free soup. I wouldn’t order from anywhere else in Ormskirk for Chinese food. They are always happy to adjust your order to your taste (they always add fresh chillies for me). Big portions and always delivered by a friendly, charming person. The special curry I ordered last time (extra hot and spicy) was superb; I’d also recommend the Singapore chow mein and duck spring rolls. Thanks guys!

Ordered a Chinese banquet for the family Xmas Eve, the first time ordering from here and it was the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten, never again.

Really nice lady that delivers. It’s good value, particularly for the chow mein and fried rice dishes, which come in big round containers. If you ask for it spicy they add proper chopped fresh chillies. Overall, they seem like good people making an effort, with generous portions.

Tasty food. Looks like a chippy with the range but they say they are a Chinese takeaway. Dont know why they cant call themselves a chippy Chinese takeaway

Worst take out I’ve had . Ribs smelt of death and the beef tomato was terrible. Was hopeful for my once a month Chinese!!! But certainly disappointed us.

Ordered on a busy Saturday night on app as soon as order was placed was advised by app there is a 20 min delay which is understandable then 40 mins later got a phone call about delay which I thought was fantastic service I knew it would be busy and was happy to wait, when the food arrived it was piping hot and as a kind gesture we got 2 free soups which made us all happy would highly recommend this takeaway. Can't wait till the next one we have !!

I get a takeaway from here at least once a week on average and thoroughly enjoy the food that they serve - it is always tasty and the portions are big. I think it's one best value for money Chineses takeaways in the local area. My personal favourite meals from here are special fried rice, chicken omelette and beef satay. It is run by a really nice family.

Great service friendly & superb food

Been going to this takeaway for many years while i lived in ormskirk. Now live in southport but will make a trip to go back in near future. 1st of all the staff are amazing, very friendly and dont mind you asking special requests to your food order. Portions are a good size compared to other places. The flavours are great and quality of the food too. Recommend this place highly if you are local.

Absolutely awful, Returned every item as inedible Called me 5 days later telling me never to return Can explain how awful the food was

This was the worst chippy I have ever ever ordered from, I opened up the food, and the look and smell was awful, I don’t know what possessed me to try the chilli beef after looking at it but it tastes like pedigree chum. We took every single item back and got a refund. I would never take food back for a full refund but it was totally inedible. The staff are so lovely it’s so sad that there food is really shocking. However just received a call 5 days later at 7:30 whilst putting my child to bed, asking us never to return there? We were very polite and kept apologising for having to return it, however there isn’t really a nice way of putting ‘your food was disgraceful’. Poor show ringing back days later.

I wasn’t going to write a review about my experience here but after a phone call from an unknown number at 7:30pm from the owner 06/07/2020 (I called their landline and he answered admitting it was him) I would advise everyone to stay clear of this chippy!! I ordered a takeaway 03/07/2020 of crispy chilli beef, salt and pepper chicken, crispy duck and some sides only to be served what could be described as slop! The salt and pepper chicken was like jerky! You couldn’t bite through it at all the crispy chilli beef was mush not soft but gooey! We didn’t even open the rest we paid £40 in total and received a full refund. What has really annoyed me is that I ordered in the past and the owner obviously annoyed that I have returned my meal has gone through old receipts to find my phone number and call me!! Acropolis is only down the road guys, or even the cherry garden!? I’m sorry mrs cheung you’re a lovely lady but your partner shouldn’t have called me while I was putting my baby to bed! I will post this everywhere now and as it’s factual no review site will remove it. Disgrace to call me at 7:30!! This isn’t the last you will hear from me.

Salt and pepper chicken & chips Absolutely disgusting over cooked dry tasteless no peppers 3 slices of onion just a total waste of £6.50... no wonder it was empty at 8 pm on a Saturday night.

Asked for a portion of chips and was served up frozen, crinkle cuts not 'proper' chippy chips. First and only time I go here. Its appalling that a chippy uses these things. Unforgivable.

It's safe to say I've never been so disappointed in a Chinese takeaway until now. Me and others bought several different plates and the food was consistently poor; the only good food were the prawn crackers. To add insult to injury, the wait for the food was meant to be 40 minutes but ended up being an hour and a half. I wouldn't want anyone to have the same miserable experience as we have.

The beef chawmein didn't really taste right and nor did the egg fried rice. The only good thing from my order was the salt and pepper chips and the prawn crackers

Food was awful, soft prawn crackers, crispy chilli beef was that crispy it disintegrated on your fork, sweet and sour balls were rubbery and batter didnt appear fresh. Portion of seaweed had zero MSG (flavouring). The owners are lovely but unfortunately their food isn't.

If I could give zero stars then I would.Went here 5th Jan after a few beers with the wife and got some chips to go home with. The most horrific chips I've ever in my life been served Probably frozen . They were certainly not chippy chips .i wouldn't feed them to a dog. Whoever gives them 5 stars obviously know the people who own it. Avoid at all cost . You be ashamed of serving bad food

Worst food iv ever paid for the guy was offering me free food n a sausage for 20p! Got fish n chips with the free peas n curry when I asked for jus gravy was told the pots are to expensive. The food was bland n seemed like it had been there all night.. complete let down! DO NOT GO THERE

I've always had great service from the staff who work here, and I always enjoy the food! The staff have also been willing to work around allergies too for my family when needed which is ideal for us. We would certainly recommend!

We've just had food from this chippy and it was awful. Chips were obviously frozen, fish was swimming in oil and not cooked in the middle. Disgusting.
