EXCELLENT! Staff are super friendly and helpful. Nothing is a problem. They made me two dishes that were not on the menu. Food excellent. Good price for the quality, great atmosphere even though it was early doors Sunday night and only a handful of customers. Recommend and looking forward to going back. Try the plain fried noodles and tofu/beansprout sichuan. The wine is also reasonably priced for a restaurant and tasted great.

Perfect lovely people and atmosphere

A gem of a Chinese restaurant which we frequently go to and the standard of food is always really high across the whole menu. The only place we would order from in Poynton and it’s collection only if you’re after a takeaway but worth it.

Lots of choice on the menu. Ideal place to meet up with friends and family for a meal.

Came here late(ish) 8pm on a Sunday night. We were the only people in the restaurant and the Chinese/English lady that was waiting on us clearly wanted to go home. Unbelievably rude kept slamming the dishes on the table as they came out Food was absolutely amazing though which made up for us all.

This is a typical Chinese restaurant. The waitress served us with very nice manner. The dim sum combination was fantastic. It came with a dish of spicy source and a dish of sweet and sour source. The fried rice has chicken, bbq pork and beef with pineapple. The most special is the drink. Lemon tea is not served in other Chinese restaurants. Awesome!

Four of us dined here tonight, place very empty definitely the weather putting people off coming out, they didn’t know what they were missing the food was outstanding we ordered a variety of dishes to share all of which were freshly cooked and hot. The husband and wife owners were very welcoming and friendly wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this restaurant

Our table was on thoroughfare to kitchen. So got a draft every time a meal went past. Would sit at another table. Apart from that it was great.x

Been wanting to try this place for the last ten years but kid’s feeding times didn’t suit us with the 5pm opening time but suits us now so went for my daughters 13th birthday and it was great! Didn’t tell the restaurant that it was a birthday but they heard us talking and brought out a balloon then happy birthday music with candle in a massive desert! Very nice restaurant/staff/food/clean toilets/good beer. Recommend a visit👍🏼

I've now sampled more than half the dishes on offer and have found them all to be really well prepared and delicious. Eat in or take away, this is a great place to come for quality Chinese cuisine. Thurs and Friday lunch they do a senior citizens' special deal, but the prices here are fair to start with. A large shared parking area is immediately opposite and free.

Went to the Beijing whilst staying at Shrigley Hall. The service was exemplary, to the point that when to of the oldies had forgot their glasses, the waitress went away and brought 2 sets for them to read. We were a party of 7, so we ordered a set meal for 4 along with a number of additional starters. Wow! everything serving was lovely and ample. probably didn't need some of the extras. The bill proved to be great value for money. I would totally recommend the restuarant

First time trying this restaurant and it will be our go to now whenever we eat Chinese! As well as being priced very cheap compared to other restaurants, the portions are very generous and the food is really well cooked, fresh and tasty! Will definitely be back.

This is fast becoming our favourite takeaway treat. The combination starter is lovely and my favourite is the satay beef fillet, followed a close second by the salt and pepper beef fillet. Highly recommended!

We ordered 3 mains to share, instead of having starters, and were provided with a fine feast. Dishes here are not stodgy and I think that they do not use lots of msg. It all looks and tastes very healthy. We have eaten here before and have found that the standard of food, inside and for take away, is consistently really good.

We went on Christmas Eve for the special banquet. It was all lovey and the owners were friendly and efficient as usual. We had a very enjoyable evening.

In the space of a week I have had a take away and then a restaurant meal at this lovely restaurant. When I sat down with friends, we shared six starters and eight main courses and I found every dish to be superb. There was nothing stodgy and no thick sauces of monosodium glutamate! It was all beautifully prepared, tasty and probably reasonably healthy. The couple who run the place have been here for over 30 years and are very humorous. One tip if you are getting a take away, don't bother to phone your order as they have a good bar to keep you occupied while you are waiting!

Can not speak more highly of this restaurant. This was the first time we have been here and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the meal. We had quite a range of food, all of which was delicious and in our opinion far nicer than other places that we have been to in the past.We will definitely be returning.

Been a few times with family recently since our first visit and thoroughly the food each time. The lunch menu has plenty of choice for starters and main courses. Service was friendly and quick, the food being freshly cooked and served nice and hot, Portions more than adequate for lunch and great value overall. Will definitely return,

Food around average in terms of quality but below it in terms of quantity imo. The prices for drinks etc too are above average so it can quickly turn into an expensive evening for what is at heart a takeaway meal at a table in a restaurant. In all honesty I have actually had better takeaways which unfortunately isn't the best thing to say when talking about a dine in restaurant where the prices exceed that of a local takeaway. I would eat here again but I wouldn't be too pushed on it sadly.

Not pretentious, just amazing food

Our first visit and had lunch using the set menu of 2 courses. The staff were very friendly and spent time chatting to their regular customers. We all had soup for starters, chicken and sweetcorn and hot and sour, and agreed both were delicious. For mains we all chose different dishes, some with rice, other with chips or noodles. This gave us an idea of the quality and choices on offer. Portions were excellent and plenty for a lunch time meal. We all agreed the food was delicious overall and great value. Cannot fault anything and will definitely return.

Good food and good value on Fridays with 2 for 1

Been visiting here since I was a child and it’s not changed. Still the same great food and atmosphere. In my opinion they do the BEST beef or chicken satay skewers around - well worth a journey - and the crispy aromatic lamb is gorgeous! Only downside is they don’t deliver but they are a restaurant with a take away option and as long as they cook such great food people (like me) will still drive out to collect.

Quite frankly the food was a huge disappointment and that was a view shared by the whole group. A shame as this restaurant has been going for years but has let things slide big time.

Nice little Chinese restaurant with reasonable food prices and okaish food quality.We ordered a platter of prawn dumplings, aubergine fries, sea weed and spring rolls.Except the dumplings everything else was very oily.But the dumplings were really nicely done and fresh. We ordered fried rice for Mains which had authentic taste but could have done with bit less oil.We had one lady who was serving us who was very nice, friendly and helpful. Given 3 stars due to oily food and outdated decor.

Great restaurant! Prices are verrrry good, and the food is legit. Went here with 3 Singaporeans who concurred! I had a tia maria coffee to end the meal and it was excellent. The staff are lovely as well.

Food was really good, little unexpected in a small town like Ponyton! The lady who served us was skilled and very friendly. We came in at a quiet time so she was able to have a chat with us.
