Excellent food. Particularly liked the beef samosa, duck and Cantonese chicken. Very friendly service. Good size portion. Room nicely set out.

It’s the best Chinese, Asian food in Sandbach, fresh and tasty food every time , and the staff are lovely.

I used this restaurant to grab a last minute dinner as I was booked into a nearby campsite. The food was incredible and plentiful and SO fresh. I'd highly recommend this place for great food.

My husband and I went to Kans early last Sunday evening after a very long drive home from The New Forest. We ordered one of the banquet meals - it was outstanding. I loved that the starters tasted and looked homemade. The beef curry samosas were so good! The duck was shredded at the table, and the main courses were delicious. My husband and I go to China Town a lot, and Kans is the best on quality and price. We shall be back!! The service was very good and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Not the biggest restaurant in town but my word it's good, suggest therefore that you book instead of just turning up on the off chance. We were greeted by Shirley who made us feel very welcome which was a good start to a very enjoyable evening...sadly we were only visiting the area but rest assured we will be back if ever we're in Sandbach.

1st visit to Kan's. Booked on the day and they fitted us in despite being quite busy in the restaurant and with take aways. We went at 6pm on a Saturday. Service was good, food was great, we didn't wait long to be served. Will definitely go back!

Excellent service, excellent food, 10/10 would recommend

Our family of four had a wonderful time at Kans! We hd the banquet for 2 plus chicken chow mein for the children to share and there was plenty of food. It is such a lovely restaurant, staff were really lovely and went out of their way to keep our young children happy- they even have children's chopsticks! The food was up there with the best chinese I've ever had, and every bit as good as I remember it being 16 years ago! We've all decided this is now our new favourite restaurant and look forward to going back for special occassions in the future.

Lovely food and great friendly staff well worth a visit

Were to start my friend booked us a table for a friend's night out no children or men we were told it was for 6pm and we had to be done for 8pm which we were fine withon the way in the management/owner? Repeatedly told us the same be out by 8 ok so we ordered and were told if we wont a banquet we would have to have 2 meals at a time off the list ok then it was all brought out together so we were finished at 7.15 with all the meals finished i asked for a dessert menu and was told i could only have coffee as there was no chef to do me a banana fritter what i found baffling as there was one there to fry me my prawns the top and bottom of it was that they gave us a table they needed and didnt wont us to stay but were quit willing to take our money when i question this was told in not poilighty terms if you dont like you dont come back i think this lady is the most rude inoperative restaurant manager i have ever experienced and the one thing she was right about is i would not be coming back

Have eaten here quite a few times and was disappointed to get the bill and have a service charge of 10% added to the total as I always tip 10-15% didn't appreciate this as it usually means the money goes to the owners and not the waiting staff who were very good , so I left an additional tip of £10 which I can only hope went to the two young staff that served us. Also not as good value as previous visits( over £11 for mushroom rice?) Which does not compete very well against other restaurants in the town and is a bit dated now in comparison to other places in sandbach.

I fully enjoyed our visit to this amazing place. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were great. My wife and I ate here on our last night while visiting this lovely part of the country and cant fault it. Be a vegetarian, it was great to have a page with all the veggie options rather than trying to "find" them as they usually are mixed in with the other meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Food average service good . But OWNERS TAKE ALL STAFF TIPS BE AWARE. !!!! That’s DISGUSTING. In my eyes 👀. Would go back but I only tip the girls / boys on the Q / T but be ware cos the owner is like a hawk with an owls head

Have been a number of times. The menu is much more comprehensive than most chinese. The food is always well presented and tastes great. A welcoming and helpful staff.

The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived as there were only two other tables in with four people. I asked for a table and they asked if I’d booked. I said no and was told that they were full so we left. I went back to my car and phoned them to book a table - they booked us a table for 30 minutes later. We went back in 30 minutes later and sat at our table and waited ages for a menu, ages for our drinks and ages for our food. There were still only four other people eating in there. I have visited this restaurant lots of times before and always thought the food was ok but expensive. We ordered starters and main courses. The food arrived and the presentation was ok, but the food was very poor quality, it was really greasy with pools of oil all round the food so some of it was inedible. The service was very bad, way too slow. Poor service, poor food, too expensive. Won’t be going back.

We have visited this restaurant many times and it has never been any different with regards to the polite staff, the quality of the food, very nice surroundings, a great menu,. It really is a pleasure to dine there!!.

We went to Kan’s last night and from the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The food was by far the best Chinese food we have ever had. The batter on the meat was so light and the sauces were so delicate and delicious. Thank you.

Best Chinese we have ever had are some of the reviews. You need to get out more. The food was fine, standard restaurant Chinese. You can get it most places. Service was very good. Prices are pretty standard, not over priced, nor were the drinks. Avoid the draught lager, awful, stick with the bottled . Note I am not easy to please as I can often cook the food just as well as most restaurants so do expect chefs to actually do a better job than me.

Having tried a number of different Chinese restaurants and takeaways across Cheshire including a few in Sandbach, Kans has always stood out as being number #1. We previously loved Sandbach's other popular Chinese restaurant/takeaway, however after their standard of food declined over the past few months, we thought we'd best try somewhere else. Kans was perfect and offers delicious, fresh food everytime. Highly recommend.

Booked a table for a Friday night, with Covid restrictions, we felt very safe, distanced and were made aware of the 10pm closure.Kirsten our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. We had a set menu but swapped out dishes containing prawns due to an allergy. This was not a problem. Mixed starters were fresh and hot and delicious. Duck and pancakes were so tasty, a large portion of duck with 6 pancakes. Mains were well presented and crispy chilli beef was one of the best we have had in a long time, crispy yet chewy and just enough chilli. Veg rice was fresh and light, chicken dish was just the right sized portion. This really was the tastiest Chinese we have had in a long time, an excellent meal and enhanced by friendly staff.

We have been to Kan's many times over the years and have always found the food to be good and tasty but we were disappointed with our last visit. We went as a family of 5 and ordered the Special Seafood Platter for 5 . We were extremely disappointed with what we received which was half a scallop, a small piece of calamari, 2 small prawns on a skewer and the other 2 items were very small with a small amount of seaweed all for £8.50 a head so not cheap for a couple of mouthfuls. The main courses were better value and did taste good but we left still feeling hungry. I did mention about the starters and received a shrug from the waitress??? The service overall was good and the food did taste good but small portions so not so sure if we will go again.

We visited Kan's yesterday and have been using the restaurant for many years but after last nights visit the quality of the food was very poor, I know all restaurants have been affected by covid but it shouldn't affect the food to the extent that it was barely edible so sad to see it go down to this degree.

I went to Kan's for a family meal to celebrate mine and my twin sisters birthday! I have never had such a wonderful Chinese meal! The food was absolutely beautiful, everything tasted so fresh. On the starter the prawn crackers and spring roll pastry was the finest most crispy and fragile I've ever had. We had the special banquet A for 6 people and each of the 6 different main dishes were so tasty and a great size. The service was so quick and friendly despite being busy, the restaurant was really well spaced for social distancing with a one way system marked on the floor, hand gel at doors and staff wearing visors.The staff were so wonderful, friendly and welcoming. I even enquired about one of the beautiful pieces of art on the wall and the lady went to so much effort to translate it's name for me... even explaining what the history was behind it! I wish I got her name because she really made my day and I was so grateful to her for going to so much effort.I can't rate this restaurant enough and can't wait to go back! You must visit if you're in the area. Thanks Kan's for a lovely end to our birthday :) x

5 of us visited on a busy Saturday evening. We had a banquet and the food was absolutely beautiful. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. All the food was excellent.

We visited on Saturday night with our grandchildren. This must have been the busiest night of the year with every table occupied. There was a party of 20+ local farmers; a table with the local Waitrose staff celebrating their Christmas night out, and several other tables also celebrating in style. Despite the number of diners, the service was excellent. The staff are very personable and obviously well rehearsed in dealing with so many people. The food was exceptional and served extremely quickly. The prawn crackers were hot and very tasty, and the crispy duck we shared as a starter was equally delicious. Our main courses were superb, and the entire experience was one we will remember for a long time.

As you will read from my last review, we have always been exceptionally pleased with the meals we have had from Kans. However tonight was a completely different story. Amongst other dishes in our takeaway, I ordered 'sizzling mixed seafood in Szechuan sauce.' However, on starting to eat it, it became obvious that the seafood was hard to find. Four pieces of squid, ( 2 good sized, 2 very small ). Three large prawns. 1 very thin slice of scallop. Not even a whole one!. The rest of the dish consisted of sliced water chestnuts ( of which there were far too many, maybe to make up for the lack of scallops), baby sweetcorn, mushrooms, onions and peppers of every colour, and bamboo shoots, together with sauce. The dish should have been called sizzling vegetables. When I phoned to complain, I was initially offered a replacement or a refund. It was agreed that I would call in tomorrow for a refund. However, a few minutes after my phone call, Kans phoned me back. I was told that the kitchen portions were strictly monitored, and that to have any chance of a refund, I would have to bring the remains of my meal back to Kans. I explained that it was now in the bin. Also, bringing back the remains would give no idea of what was originally in the dish, nor what I had eaten. I asked why they were doubting me, and implying that I was lying. I explained that we had been customers of theirs for years and never before had reason to complain . The man I spoke to was insistent that to have any chance if a refund, I would have to bring back the remains of the meal.I feel that the experience of the poor meal has been eclipsed by the fact that I have been made to feel that I have been lying.Kans have lost a loyal customer. Nothing would now induce me to go to them again. Their rudeness, together with the £12.50 cost of a dish of mostly vegetables is more than enough to keep me away. There are better Chinese .restaurants in the area, who I am sure value their customers .

Excellent food and service recommend a visit

Staff were excellent from our friendly greeting, despite not having booked on a Friday! Food was also superb, fresh, hot and very tasty.

Have been a fan of Kan’s for many years but for the first time ever was disappointed with a couple of dishes. Hope this was only a hiccupWe were six and four of us had fabulous meals, well up to previous standards but 2 were under seasoned and definitely not as good as we have had before over many years

Whenever I'm downtown with time for a leisurely brunch, I stop by. Most recently I tried the Autumn Hash, which was fantastic. It was a combination of potatoes, apples and pancetta, topped with eggs. What a lovely way to celebrate the arrival of Fall. Everything I've had at this bistro is simple and delicious.

We thought we’d give this a try after seeing all the good reviews on here, we were absolutely not disappointed! as a family we love chinese food and we all agree that this was the best we’ve ever had, staff were friendly, service was fantastic and we left more than happy! Fab find and we’re sure to be returning!

Kans is possibly the best Chinese restaurant in the area (classing The Orient as Thai). The food is excellent, hot, tasty, well prepared and very fresh. No soggy soft and discoloured vegetables here, it's all cooked well, al-dente and is great quality. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxed however the service is professional and efficient. There are a high proportion of young waiting staff and they have clearly been selected for the excellent manners and engaging personalities, they are a credit to the restaurant. If there is one thing that Kans could do to stand head and shoulders over all other Chinese restaurants in the area it would be to use fresh chicken and not the factory processed recovered chicken meat that every other restaurant in the county seems to use. Machine recovered chicken must be cheaper to buy for restaurants but it is an unpleasant alternative to fresh chicken meat.However, if you're used to eating Chinese food in this county, chicken won't be an issue for you and the best of the choices is definitely Kans. Hot, fresh, high quality, tasty and good value - what's not to like?!

Sadly Kans is not the restaurant it was. The Ruby Banquet was partly edible. Tasteless Soup, rubbery prawn toast over salted beef. I noticed a couple across from our table had boxed up most of the food probably too embarrassed to complain.

Kan's in my opinion is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is delicious, hot and fresh. The decor is modern and the restaurant is very clean and the staff are lovely and welcoming. We even got a free ice cream for our 5 year old son.

I had previously had takeaway's but never eaten in the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, staff very pleasant and efficient. Food was fantastic, well worth a visit.

Staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Spacious seating area, brightly lit room. Food was really good but no finger bowls provided for sticky fingers. No hot towels either. Crispy Beef was not very crispy and was very pale looking, didn't enjoy.

Our 1st visit to celebrate my wife's birthday, very impressed with the starters, I had beef szechuan for my main, beef was slightly chewy, my father-in-law enjoyed his duck and everyone else enjoyed their meals.

Came here with my girlfriend's family for a birthday meal. While the restaurant is a bit tucked away, it's definitely worth a visit. We went for a set banquet menu to share between us all and it was delicious; there were 4 courses so I was very full by the end! Staff were polite and attentive, and we had a really nice evening. I'd recommend for medium sized groups, and I'd definitely return.

We have eaten at Kan's only once, but have had takeaways on many occasions. In our opinion their Chinese food is the best by a long way. Certainly the best in Sandbach! Whatever you order, they will not Disappointed!

First visit and had no idea what to expect. Fabulous, friendly service from both the waiter and the lady who we assume is the owner/manager. There is no ‘portion control’. Very, very generous and VERY tasty. We will definitely be returning.

At a friends party we chose to go here again. As always like to eat the Banquet B, Ladies chose house red wines. Very delicious. We are Most like crispy duck. After dessert, we ordered Toffee banana with Ice cream. So wonderful!

Had a sit down meal for 4 here on 17/02/18, first impressions of the restaurant and staff were excellent, the staff were welcoming, friendly and inviting and the restaurant décor was beautiful, tables clean and tidy and seating was comfortable. Meals came fairly quickly given that the restaurant was full and the staff were busy, we were pestered quite a lot to buy more drinks but other than this little niggle I would say the food was very good, portion sizes could have been a little bigger, the one meal which was particularly small was the beef curry which was just a basic sauce with not a lot of beef in it, this was £10.50, prawn meal small too but other meals very good. Overall the food was very tasty and the atmosphere fantastic, very enjoyable experience and would certainly go again, well done ! Food 7.5/10 Atmosphere 9/10 Value for Money 7/10

Visited Saturday night we hadn't booked it was early doors seated and drinks order taken very quickly. Decided to try special set menu £28.50 per head so not cheap. Soup was very bland selection of dim sum OK crispy duck was lovely only a quarter then the mains very drab and bland their new dish chicken bean curd not nice would not have that again. Meal overpriced as is the wine. But staff very attentive and toilets and restaurant very clean.

My wife and I booked this restaurant for the first time for our anniversary. We enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we would recommend.

A very pleasant meal with a friendly atmosphere.

This place is a little side street place, Dont look much from the outside. But its good, very good. In fact gob smackingly good. Firstly big soups, not the little rice bowls you get in some places, full sized ones. Now soup in china is kind of a accompaniment to the main meal, a thin consomme. Not this one its a rib thickener. My partner asked for the sweetcorn soup, and one the best she has ever had. And hot off the press prawn crackers, why someplaces serve em stone cold, and well insipid, Nope! fresh and warmish crispy. Now then Chicken Yuck Sung from here, drool. need I say anymore. Brilliant satay sauce, and again fresh tasting on the chicken sticks. Again my partner who is a bit of a egg fried rice fan, loved it. The sizzling beef, well it actually tasted beefy, as in tender and gingery and I like ginger. I think the beef was aged, like beef should be. Again Drool. Parking at the place isnt bad if your early right outside the door. There is lots of parking nearby. I am a bit limited on the mobile front, so daft as it seems its a important point for some people. Service very good. Friendly and quick. Well done, recommended. go again, err next weekend please!

We had an excellent meal on new years eve. Food was wonderful and plenty of it. Friendly service. Shirley the host was very attentive and charming. Everyone was given a glass of fizz and party poppers to see in the new year. A truly lovely evening

We are from Canton and spuriously to find our real Cantonese food in this old town. Without disappointed, we found it and it is fantastic to have such good dinner with local friends. I can proudly introduce my hometown food to friends in Sandbach.

Our third visit to this restaurant on Saturday evening. Our last two meals here were fantastic, I didn't think they could have been bettered but I was wrong. The four of us ordered banquet D, which is the most expensive at £29.50 per head, but wow was it worth it. Mixed Chinese starters including satay chicken, salt and pepper ribs, crispy prawn parcels, spring rolls, then steamed prawns and scallops in soy sauce, garlic, ginger and spring onions which were served in the shells and tasted divine. Then oriental duck with pancakes, then the main courses consisted of sizzling fillet steak, seafood with vegetables, lamb in black bean sauce, and crispy fried chilli chicken with fried rice. The food was out of this world, the service was efficient, the wine was excellent and good value for money and the staff were so friendly. Quite simply the best Chinese meal we have ever had.

We went here ona Saturday evening and had a very nice meal. The service was very attentive and although the restaurant was quiet the staff left a nice gap between courses. The food was excellent and the star was the crispy shredded beef.

Kans is a nice oriental restaurant in Sandbach that offers good quality food and good service. The staff are always friendly and they've always accommodated my wife's severe nut allergy.

On a cold dark winters midweek night, inside was warm & inviting.Group of us enjoyed the banquet on a smartly laid out round table.Tasty dishes, and generous portions - a few had not been before,but without hesitation said they would return, which was re-iterated to the owner.They deserve every success.

Today I with my best friend visit kan's. Great services and very nice meal. I like chill beef and seafood carry. My friends like chicken carry and salt pepper chips. I have had take away food before. The service always faultless and the food delicious.We will be back.

Went on Saturday night and was really pleased the manageress was lovely and made us feel very special. I watched as she went to other tables taking orders and speaking to the children. The food was amazing and so much of it. Would strongly recommend it and won't hesitate to return .

Went here with a group of friends for a banquet meal. We were there for three hours, with the various courses arriving at a perfect pace to allow people to eat, chat and digest before the next course arrived. No sense of rush to throw us out.. A good variety of dishes, hot, tasty and well presented. One small issue was the air-con/heating which tended to let the temperature fluctuate between comfortably warm and rather chilly. There is a lady's loo (one loo for one lady) - the handwashing area is small, and the exit door and the cublcle door bother open into it, so beware of queueing inside it.

First tine visited this restaurant this evening for several years. Restaurant very clean and tidy and friendly staff. Decided to have the set meal for two very nice food promptly served and everything was red hot changed one main meal to a curry not a problem to do so and no extra charge. Wine as usual is overpriced they have to make money somewhere. Shame we were the only people in restaurant I would recommend and we will return to sample more of your menu.

Returning to Kans again, and had a very good evening again. Food was excellent, spare ribs, sweet and sour chicken, shredded chili beef, duck and chili steak all being excellent ! Service was also excellent. Will be back !

Four of us visited on Saturday 26 November for dinner. This was our second meal at Kan's and was as good as before. We plumped for a banquet and were not disappointed. Food was delicious and plentiful. Couldn't fault the service either. Best Chinese food I've tasted.

Not recommended. Food poor, decor dated & the place was cold. Average service. Need to up your game to compete with the increasing number of restaurants in Sandbach.

We went here for the first time on Saturday for my sons birthday The staff were friendly and helpful The resturant was clean bright and u didn't feel crammed in like u do in some places The food was excellent service was very good parking was not an issue as there was a decent car park just a round the corner there is a limited amount of parking outside the resturant but does get filled very quickly would recommend this resturant we will be going back very soon

Great food and great service. Always a lovely welcome from Ian and his staff. The beef and mushrooms are one of my favourites also the chicken curry..I have not found any food there that was not of a great standard.

It was a Saturday night we had note booked but we were seated very quickly.The menu arrived immediately and we ordered a glass of wine .We only ordered a main course only.My husband had King Prawns with mixed vegetables which her enjoyed but the sauce was a little tasteless.My mixed vegetable chow mein had very few vegetables and soaked in a very unappetizing sauce.The noodles with soy sauce were good.Asked had we enjoyed our meal we mentioned the lack of vegetables and the waiter said he would tell the chef.Nobody asked did we want desert or coffee.After a long wait at the table we went to the bar so we could pay and leave.This restaurant is very busy including takeaways.Poor service and poor food.

I've come back to Sandbach after living away for 20 odd years. As a child I grew up here and always wanted to eat in this restaurant but not being a rich family we never did.Maybe I was putting too much onto the experience but the food was so poor quality and the decor looked... well it could have easily been from the 1980s.Everything was thick in oil and tasteless. I'm afraid I won't be eating there again. Such a shame.

Despite the restaurant being busy on a Saturday night the food did not match up. Too much attention was given to takeaway meal orders which led to big delays in our food arriving. Apologies given for the delay but no action taken to improve our experience and when the food came it was a let down.Seafood platter for three - everything deep fried. Disappointing 3 /4 main courses. My duck with beansprouts - limp, fatty, and salty. Perhaps we should have ordered a take away!

Visiting a friend and he took us to this brilliant restaurant. The 5 of us had a banquet meal. Great value, great service, portions and a good time with good friends. Highly recommended .

My partner and I thought the food wasn't bad, it was actually ok. It was just far too expensive for what we got. The management need to seriously consider lowering their prices if they want repeat business. I honestly feel a bit ripped off. We have a double income and no kids (DINK'S) so we are happy to pay a premium if the quality and/or quantity are good. The quality was at best 6 out of 10 and the quantity was probably only 4 out of 10. We paid nearly £30 for three starters, one main and no rice or other extras. We have never spent £30 on a take away and easily finished the lot between the two of us before. Oh and that price included a 20% discount for take away, if feels even sorrier for the people who were eating in their. I bet they feel even bigger suckers than we do. It just seems to me a bit of a greedy pricing policy and we won't be returning again. Especially when there are so many better value for money places with just as good if not much better food.

We visited to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday on Friday, 20th May. It was her suggestion and although I have lived within five miles of Kans for over 20 years, have never visited.Cutting to the chase, the service was first class - attentive , but not overly. The food (we had Banquet D @ £29.50 per head) was superb, delicious and beautifully presented. I would have enjoyed a slightly more generous portions (only because they were so good), - maybe one small rib/prawn/spring roll/ etc just didn't feel enough!. After each course we were given hot finger wipes which is such a small touch, but was really appreciated.I was drinking China tea, which was absolutely perfect and diligently topped up and served in true Chinese tradition with politeness and style.This is a top class restaurant serving excellent food well. We will certainly be going back for seconds.

Kan's food is always spot on. My family and I went again tonight and enjoyed it thoroughly. The food is extremely tasty. I highly recommend it.

Been so many times & we are always well looked after. Had a nice meal with my mum. Good ribs to start. Had a mix of mains & all really tasty. Good house wine & all well priced. Got to say never fails to deliver & always worth a visit

Went to Kan's for my Husband's Birthday with the family. We had starters of soup, combination for two and the fish combination for two, Chow Mein, Squid, fillet steak on a hot plate. Everything was cooked to perfection. We all thoroughly enjoyed our special dinner. We finished with toffee pineapple. Well worth a visit, but book before. Excellent from start to finish

We went for a birthday meal and the welcome we got was fantastic. The service was first class all evening, however the food was very bland. A minuscule portion of prawn on toast that lacked prawn, salt and pepper chicken that had that 'tang' that chicken gets when it's not very fresh.The tofu starter was also bland but I suppose it's hard to make tofu tasty. On to the mains and the Cantonese beef with beef that hadn't been marinated and sauce that was too thin and tasteless. My wife's dish of stir fried broccoli and mushrooms was just awful. It tasted of a mixture of very old vegetable oil and a tiny bit of sesame oil and was horrible.All in all a very poor meal and it wasn't cheap either. We may have been unlucky but as every dish was poor I wouldn't risk returning.
