I usually hate eating out, but Good Friend Chinese is the one place I will order from with no regrets. I've been ordering from them for six months, especially during times when I couldn't cook, and every time, the food is fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Their service is always respectful, delivery is super quick, and the portion sizes are great. This is the only Chinese restaurant I trust for takeaway. Last week, we tried another place closer to us, but the food was so greasy and unappetising that I couldn’t even eat it. I genuinely hope to visit the restaurant in person one day. Until then, Good Friend Chinese remains my go-to, or I’d rather cook at home! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you!!!!!

Food was so late with 0 updates. When driver finally arrived he tried to say heavy traffic, when I asked why he didn't call with an update he said he had no way of contacting us. I asked but you were stuck in heavy traffic and then he replied no I wasn't. Food did arrive hot even though it was over an hour late and they were 'stuck' in traffic.

El chef es muy bueno en la comida de Hong Kong (sur de China). Es muy estilístico. No se cedería a la demanda del mercado y se aferraría a lo que ama. Es fiel al espíritu original de la comida cantonesa.

Muy buena comida y servicio a precios muy razonables. Tomarán variaciones especiales en el menú sin problemas. si no quieres un mensaje, no hay problema. Al cocinero le gusta hablar con los clientes, lo que lo convierte en una gran experiencia.

I got take away..aromatic dark with prawn balls,I then noticed that the duck is not a full quarter there is ice burg lettuce layering under the duck to make it look like it was a full quarter which it wasn't as you can see by the photo! I was very disappointed as it was tasty prawn balls included.. but I paid for a quarter of duck I never got a quarter of duck! Ill not order the duck again.

We ordered a full Chinese takeaway and one of the dishes was a vegetarian beef dish- waited around an hour for delivery for the one vegetarian dish to arrive as meat - the restaurant confirmed it would be 40 minutes to send a replacement for 1 dish - no apology or refund was offered - had to drive to another local restaurant and pay on top to get something I could actually eat - to say I’m disappointed is an understatement - will not be ordering from here again in the future

Anteriormente Tai buffet que tenía una sucursal en la bahía de la calzada de Hong Kong pero cerró hace décadas, hay una sucursal en Londres ahora rebautizada como Su vegana. Aunque era consciente de que nunca fui porque no me gustaba el personal allí, que era tan antipático. Ahora es mucho mejor con el personal de habla inglesa que se refleja en más clientes. De todas formas, me encantó la salsa de jengibre verde en patatas, el pato para las tortitas estaba tan seco que puse picadillo en lugar del plato de berenjenas. Destacaron la sopa de maíz, tofu mapo, papas y salsa de jengibre verde, postre de sagú. El mapo tofu estaba muy sabroso porque era fuerte en el lado de los frijoles miso pero no picante. Los platos son pequeños como placas laterales, lo que es bueno en cierto modo para aquellos sin autocontrol y detiene a las personas que toman una gran cantidad del mismo artículo sin dejar nada para los demás. En general suciedad barato y delicioso buffet vegano con paz y tranquilidad pero civilizado.

Great for a lunch, with typical asian restaurant feel - very hustly bustly. The pork crackle and duck are great. Update for 2025 - we are long term customers and whilst the food overall is ok, the duck is a let down. It’s seems they use frozen and reheated so the meat is very dry and lack taste so I highly do not recommend getting the roast duck.

I have ordered a few times from New Shanghai Have always really enjoyed the food as a treat. Had egg noodles with vegetables and black bean sauce and mini vegetarian spring rolls. Will order again.

Horrible actitud del personal. Le dije que pedimos Veg Manchurian seco, y recibimos mucha salsa... aparentemente, ese es nuestro manchurian seco que dijo. Además, le dijimos que el bhajya crujiente era muy salado, y dijo que no había recibido ninguna queja hoy en torno a que eran salados. Parece que las hacen desde la mañana y se fríen como cuando hace falta. También podría ser el chutney, pero no nos respondió... ¡muy mal servicio! Además, había demasiadas moscas alrededor del restaurante y no se sentía agradable.

Empty restaurant. Overpriced. Awful food. Soup was Awful. Ribs were cold. Mains were standard. Prawns smelt of piss. Never again. Avoid avoid avoid!!!
