New Shanghai in City of London, Westminster

I have ordered a few times from New Shanghai Have always really enjoyed the food as a treat. Had egg noodles with vegetables and black bean sauce and mini vegetarian spring rolls. Will order again.

Best shrimp fried rice in south. Period.

We've booked from New Shanghai several times and always been really pleased. This time the food arrived 30 minutes early so was cold by the time we were all home and ready to eat. Also the free spring rolls and extra pancakes we ordered were not delivered - not a huge issue but it was my son's birthday treat and the duck and spring rolls are his favourite - we ordered half a duck and there were not enough pancakes for everyone to have 2. To be fair they did deliver the missing items but this took over an hour so rather missed the point - the extra pancakes went in the bin. Not great but will probably try again since it has usually worked well.

We’re supposed to have our food at a reasonable time and it came late. Very disappointed

Most terrible food and service.... I didn’t get what I ordered, with re-delivery was still different, i wait almost 2 hours and after i had to eat cold and dry “something” Can’t call it food... And they offered me some voucher for the next order... All the food in bin! Never ever order from here!!!! Want my money back

Some food over cooked the rest just didnt taste right to me.

Chow mein was Good. The chop suey was not that Good, never knew chop suey is with a tomato sauce??? And I had quite a few chop suey’s before. The chicken spring rolls was barely any chicken in them. Tasted mostly dough. All in all, the food was okay, and that’s only because of the Chow Mein.

You told me 1 hour for delivery but that what you always say. But it was delivered in about 30 min 40 min

Don’t normally leave feedback but I ordered this based on good reviews. Absolutely gross food, all either under or over cooked, just horrible. Never again.

The Driver was unnecessarily rude and missed part of the order when I called him back to retrieve me forgotten item he skipped my call. However the lady who picks up for the business number was very nice and helpful and gave me a discount code for my next order to mend the situation

Great food delivered super quick

I ordered dry ribs and was sent ones swimming in BBQ sauce. I asked for spring rolls as my 'free' item and was sent prawn crackers. Otherwise all was well, as usual.

The food seems to be getting saltier with each order. I couldn't eat the hot and sour soup it was so salty. I will not choose to order from here again unfortunately.

Everything was great, apart from the fact that my chicken wings were forgotten

Super happy. Definitely the best chinese takeaway I’ve had in a while in this area. The salt and pepper ribs are great!! Really good sized portions yes I will be ordering again!

The driver was so abusive, asked for 1 pound because he had to deliver the second time, I had no call or text or notification from the app that said my order was near by. The driver was abusive and asked for a pound bcus he had to deliver the 2nd time and then I spoke to the shop owner and said the driver is new he doesn’t know what to do. And the driver literally kept yelling at my door step.

The food was awful especially the duck it was dry and not much of it. I've ordered better quality from other restaurants before! Also for what it cost I could of brought a better version in a supermarket. This meal I would like a full refund ASAP!

We ordered food 4pm estimete delivery should be 17.05 . We get delivery 6.55pm

Food ordered with an hour delivery waiting time which I was okay about however for it then to arrive 40 minutes after the initial delivery time and living 0.5 miles away from the restaurant is ridiculous. Food arrived cold not even warm. As a regular customer using this restaurant I am extremely disappointed

First of all delivery was late and delivery man was very rude, secondly instead of crispy chilli beef received garlic chicken, thirdly we were meant to get spring rolls as of the order amount we spend but we didn't.

First time ordering, wasnt great tasting and gave us the wrong food. Ordered prawn rice but got noodles and the chicken satay went straight in the bin. Wouldn't order there again in a hurry...

Regularly order from New Shaghai. They always get the order right, its always delivered on time (often early), the delivery guys are very nice and the food is delicious.

Cait fort them banging every time expescially when you're staving lol

I enjoyed my meal very much, but I would of liked a bit more vegetables , and the sweet and sour sauce was a bit dark, with a little to much vinegar in it, other than That, I shall be ordering from here again. 😋

The delivery times can vary from early to late at times but the food is always very good

I’m so annoyed right now! First time using this Chinese place & can safely say it’s the last... received my order covered in curry sauce, big puddle of it in the bottom of bag. The shredded chilli beef was gross, not sure what it was but i wouldn’t even feed it to the foxes so the whole thing went in the bin. Basically all dishes were literally just tasted & then put in bin... it was absolutely disgusting & for the prices of their dishes this shop should be ashamed to send out food of this quality!!! £43 gone to waste.... Never again!

Noodles are great, delivery always late

Sweet and sour sauce was very vinegary and the prawn crackers were very thin. Chicken ball and noodles tasted lovely though.

I had used this restaurant a few times prior to this. Unfortunately this time their driver said he had been at my door but he definitely did not ring the bell as per my instruction to the "restaurant." When I rang the place a man told me I was lying! How dare he. I will never, ever use this overpriced place again. On contacting Just Eat I was told by their rep, Troy, that his colleague had emailed me. No email was received (and yes I checked junk folder.) Their are several other adequate places which compare favourably to this horror which do not insult their customers.

The food was absolutely delicious. It has been a while since I have eaten Chinese delivery food which was not greasy and salty. This food was tasty and I will definitely be ordering from them on a regular basis. I have given 4 stars for delivery as it took 45-50 mins to arrive (which to be fair had been stated at the time of order), but that is a looooooong time when you are hungry, but don't let that put you off from ordering them.

In my area it is difficult to find an authentic Chinese. For example alot of the other takeouts love to serve fried rice white and I must admit it really niggles me. Anyway, after searching for a good Chinese place I must say this hit the mark. The food was tasty and portions were sufficient. I was certain I found my new regular restaurant. However after a hygiene rating search (which I usually do before I order from any new restauran, not this time unfortunately) they have a hygiene rating of "1" which is horrendous. So much so that all it takes is a quick Google search to show that this restaurant is supposed to be permanently closed. So are they still operating off of just eat? Either way, as much as I hate to say with my new found information we did thoroughly enjoy the food. Don't know how my body feels after my brain has processed the new info. Needless to say the leftovers have a special place in the bin. On goes the search for the perfect Chinese.

Unfortunately I couldn’t eat my food as had chilli’s which I requested without. Rice was good.

Order arrived very early, over half an hour, which was great because we were so hungry! Special set dinner C2 is great, particularly the beef in black bean, and we added crispy chilli beef which is delicious. Will definitely order again, it's our new fave Chinese.

Great chicken balls, alright chips. Chowmein was quite dry.

Everything was cold when it got here, disappointing because it’s very close by and I order from here regularly and it’s usually great.

This is my go to take away for Chinese - the food is always good, hot, and usually arrives early (which is good for me). The one time it was late, the restaurant was very helpful, and offered free food as compensation. I'll definitely order from them again.

Not sure what’s going on with this place lately but they seem to be going down hill. Food was 15 minutes late & already cold, the containers weren’t sealed properly so had leaked over everything in the bag and the spring rolls were really chewy (as if reheated). We were very disappointed.

Always order my Chinese from here. The food is real good. They always deliver inside the estimated time with the food still hot.

I ordered the crispy aromatic duck and The Source spilt out all in the bag. So I had kno sauce. The driver didn't seem to care

As it was a take away, restaurant service didn't come into it. The delivery man was friendly. The food was up to expectation, not greasy and tasty.

Have been ordering from this place for years. Always happy with the speed of delivery & quality of the food. Have marked down by 1 star in this instance as my partner thought he’d try the chips; though I warned him that they might not be great, they were honestly awful. (You could taste that they had been fried in the same oil as other food). Also, the sweet & sour sauce is slightly too sour lately. Everything else was perfect. We’ll continue ordering from here but will pass of the chips in future.

Good portions of food. Quite a long wait overall from ordering to getting the food but no different to a lot of places. Quite tasty food.

Food arrived 35 minutes late. Driver went to trinity crescent instead of trinity road so food was cold by the time it arrived, had to warm in the oven

The food arrvived and all the containers were opened. A lot of the food was spilled into the bottom of the bag and the cold was COLD. I waited 1:45 for cold food... poor service.

It was uncooked. I paid £5.70 for duck fried rice, was super dry for so much money and just 2 small strip of duck. I want my money back. Such a rip off. I have ordered before was super tasty. So dry even pork fried rice. And rice uncooked. So disappointed. If they had no duck they should called or something. What rubbish taste really disappointed.

The crispy seaweed was way too sweet although still nice. The sweet and sour chicken balls were not as golden and crispy as normal, but the chicken chow mein and beef chow mein were nice!

The food was cold on arrival and we had to heat up ourselves! Not to impressed unfortunately
