The food was average. The service was terrible. We were waiting approximately 1 hour, after we got a table, but after several time they told us to go upstairs instead of sitting to before selected table downstairs. In restaurant we found terrible not hygienic situation. The dirty dishes from around near people were eating their ordered food. We were waiting approximately 30 min our food. They brought noodles and vegetables first, after +30 min they brought ours ordered meat and it was cold. The staff were not polite. My recommendation is to find another place to eat. Don’t choose this restaurant!!!!

We used to visit this restaurant quite often. But gradually it got worse and worse. The hygiene of this establishment and its unhealthy environment have been left to deteriorate for many years. The carpet is so thick with grease that you have to wipe your feet AFTER you leave the restaurant. The chairs are also disgusting with thick grease black grease. Even though we've been visiting this restaurant for many years every 2 weeks or so. The staff NEVER acknowledge us or recognise who we are. They are always rude and discourteous and never endeavoured to learn the English language. It took us years to understand what the waitresses were trying to say. On one occasion we ordered a meal for two and because we could not understand the waitress as she had a severe speech impediment, we just shook our heads when she repeated our order. We had ordered enough food for six people. We took most of it away as we did not want to cause a fuss. The toilets are next to the kitchen. The kitchen staff are always seen coming and going past the toilets to store food in the cold room next to the kitchen. The staff eat their food in the corridor next to the toilets and smoke in their brakes. They use the same one and only toilet as the patrons and are often seen leaving the toilets and continue handling the food in the kitchen WITHOUT washing their hands. This alone has put us off visiting the restaurant. The food and drinks have also become very pricy recently. A small bottle of Peroni beer is priced at £8 per bottle. One would not pay this price in a top hotel like The Savoy or the Dorchester. This place has left a bad taste in our mouths. We will not be visiting the place ever again.

I made a reservation in advance and arrived at noon on a weekday, so it wasn't busy. Pork belly and chicken soup, the soup is thick and white, with a strong peppery taste. The three-piece roasted duck, roasted chicken, and barbecued pork are probably pretty good in London, but in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, the quality is average. Didn't taste the way I expected. The shrimp fried rice is very delicious. The shrimps are elastic and the rice has distinct grains. The rice is fragrant and the egg is fragrant in your mouth. The stir-fried bean sprouts are tender and fresh. It is said that many of the waiters here are international students with master's degrees and bloggers, and their service is very cautious.

I haven’t been here for several years. Not to mention the price increase, the portion of the three-part rice is just the same, and the duck skin is still mushy. The crispy roast duck that was freshly cut at the door is no longer worth buying from the Schengen area and taking it back to eat. Isn’t the braised sauce from Paris delicious? Only half the price Sailing against the current: If you don’t advance, you will retreat. . . . . I just found out that there is an additional service charge. Local restaurants in the UK 🇬🇧 are all optional, but yours is mandatory and you don’t remind me. You are awesome.

I have been a long time patron of this restaurant. I made a booking for a table for 5 people. I arrived on time and was shown to the table. We sat down and ordered the food. Suddenly the manager asked us to move tables since she wanted to accommodate a larger group. She was unnecessarily rude. We obliged and moved but never got a thank you or a gesture of appreciation. I have since not been back and have discouraged others to go. There is no excuse for any rude service and to take regular guests for granted is not acceptable behaviour.

Best roast duck restaurant in London, my go to place for roast duck. Yummy roast duck, char Siu and pork belly. Their BBQ pork ribs is delicious. We always start with soft shell crabs and hot and sour soup. Best 4 season branch, been taking friends and tourist to this restaurant for last 20 years. Very popular among Londoners. Street parking is a bit tricky as mostly resident parking at Bayswater. Best go to Queensway tub station or Bayswater just across the road.

I can confidently say this was the most overpriced and disappointing Chinese dish I’ve ever encountered. The "special fried rice" was completely flavourless, with only a few vegetables and a scant amount of chopped pork. If you want to waste your money on something inedible, this restaurant is the perfect choice. I left feeling nothing but regret. Truly abysmal. I should mention that I didn’t dine in. The atmosphere looked pleasant, and the staff were okay. But even with that, you couldn’t pay me to go back after what I experienced. 0/5 would not recommend.

I came here only for barbecue duck and it is really good. Duck is juicy and I think it is better than another branch in China town. Shop is quite busy during 8pm. They take order quite quick but a bit long time to take a bill. Seats inside are very packed.

We have been there a number of times on birthdays, and we have struggled to find another place up to their high quality for food and service which is 10 out of 10. The proof of the pudding is that they are always relatively busy. I particularly like Hot & Sour soup, and sweet and sour fish. (One cant appear to change the the dishes one like though in the listing below) However everything is cooked just right.

Always wanted to try this place since I always see long queues snaking outside the restaurant during peak dinner time. If you come before peak dinner time (5.30 pm), you might be able to walk in without a red snag a table, because that’s what we did. Everyone comes here for the duck— typical Irish fat duck, which is fat and juicy. We liked the duck but we would have preferred it if the skin was a little crispier.

Seated just by the door and constant banging by new arrivals and staff pushing past. So not a comfortable spot. Very busy restaurant in prime tourist centre. Service ok (nothing special, neither good nor bad). However, hot and sour soup not hot in either sense of the word. Main course of gristle (er, I mean mixed meat) and noodles tepid and salty. Most of it not eaten. Lost the will to live so didn’t have a further course and too deflated to argue.

Bit of a long queue before it even opened. Luckily i was near the front so got a table quickly and ordered immediately. Went for the soy sauce chicken, and it was really good. Maybe not amazing like four seasons reputation would suggest but still very good. The restaurant itself is looking tired and service is just your typical abrupt Chinese restaurant service. Getting bit pricey these days but am glad i went.

Love their crispy duck, roast duck, and char siew roast pork. Staff are friendly and attentive. Service is quick. It gets crowded, so come early or be prepared to wait. Decor is old and seating crowded. Could use a spruce up. It doesn't affect the dining experience though.

Visit Date: May 20, 2024 I visited four seasons last weekend, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Ambiance and Cleanliness: The restaurant had a chaotic atmosphere, with loud music that made conversation difficult. Additionally, the table we were seated at was sticky, and the floor around our area looked like it hadn’t been swept in a while. Service: The service was disappointingly slow. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to get our drink order taken, and the server seemed indifferent and unwelcoming. When we asked for recommendations, they shrugged and said, "Everything is okay, I guess." Food: The food was the biggest letdown. The pasta was overcooked and bland, and the steak I ordered medium-rare came well-done and dry. My friend’s salad was drenched in dressing, making it inedible. To top it off, our meals arrived lukewarm. Value for Money: Considering the poor quality of both the food and service, the meal was overpriced. We felt that we did not get what we paid for. Conclusion: Overall, this was a disappointing dining experience. I will not be returning to four seasons, nor would I recommend it to others. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer much better food and service for the same price.

Ordered for collection and I have to say this is one of the best places I’ve tried in London for Chinese food. Duck was cooked to perfection and the rice and noodles were soft and tasty. Only thing I’d improve would be the vegetable, which was slightly too garlicky, but nonetheless delicious. Will definitely be returning to try more from the menu! 💌

Wanted to compare the roasted duck between this restaurant and the one down the road. Both are equally good but the one here is sweeter. We also ordered the set meal A which consisted of an assortment of dishes as we were undecided what to order. I like the corn soup which has similar texture and consistency of shark fins soup. My favourite was the stir fried beef which was tender and full of flavours. The other dishes except the fried rice were also good. Fried rice was quite bland. Service here is not as friendly but it was efficient. We got our food quickly after we placed our order.

Hadde normalt aldri gått her, men kompisen fekk bestemme. Ikkje restauranten sitt ansvar kanskje, men mamge gjester denne kvelden spiste med hender og slikka seg reine mens dei åt. Slitt og trangt om plassen på tross av at lokalet var stort nok. Åpent mellom det skitne toalettet og kjøkkenet. Pluss for rask service. Maten var på bordet under eitt minutt etter at vi bestilte. Den var god nok, men det er jo ogå hyggelig når maten blir laga for deg. Ikkje uventa så sleit eg litt med magen dagen derpå.

More people need to order the lobster noodles! It's one of the quintessential dishes to order here alongside the Peking duck in my opinion, and both were great when we visited. It was incredibly packed but the service was still super quick when we went and they were very polite and engaging when helping order out the portions of lobster. We also had razor clams which were nice, but the sauce could have been stronger in my opinion. Only downside is place is quite pricey - it is also in Bayswater though so we weren't surprised by the fee.

Very, very good chinese food, we (me and my wife) ordered Chef's specials - a chicken and some beef. Service was very nice, and our meals were served really fast. The 'crispy' duck was 'wrinkled' rather than 'crispy', and had the look of being an escapee from the Natural History Museum. Tesco's Pot Noodles are fresher and tastier than the depressing, and depressed food we were served. A memorable meal for all the wrong reasons. Two of us ended up will a bill of £110, a far cry from the ''£20-30' range on the website. Abandon all hope ye who enter here. Do yourself a favour- go somewhere else

Food was very expensive so I imagined it would be good, unfortunately I was sorely disturbed and disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. I ordered; egg fried rice, baked pork ribs, mixed vegetables , and hot poached superior chicken. The ribs, I like pork ribs and have all thes dishes regularly but not normally from this place. The ribs for some reason were out sized they were as big as beef ribs which are large, I’m not entirely sure they were pork ribs and were very fatty with gristle marveled through the meat, not normal. The mixed vegetables were void of any sauce basically dry. The chicken was cold dry and devoid of taste. The rice was the only thing worth eating, never again.

Food - king prawn fried rice was bland; rice bathed in oil with with frozen peas and huge uncooked prawns- no flavour at all. crispy pork was chewy and roast duck had a weird smell Service - terrible; only few tables but the servers never catch your attention. Manager is rude and arrogent - doesn’t care about customer service because restaurant is always busy . Came at an off hour and service was friendly and prompt. The roasted meats were delicious. Hard to go wrong with the roasted duck and char-sui (bbq pork). I liked how they brought to the table three types of chilis - a chili oil, hot sauce and pickled jalapeños. Portions seemed a bit smaller than Chinatown, but the fried rice did have a good ratio of ingredients to rice. Enjoyed the experience overall. Meal came with sliced oranges and a small container of mints at the end. The paper takeaway bag was red with Four Seasons logo with “Since 1990”. A good London establishment.

It's a shame as usually food here is lovely. However, got a take away today of sweet and sour chicken on rice and all I got was rice and vegetables. None of the chicken was edible. It's the part of the chicken that have no meat and is just super chewy. The portion size was good but maybe moving forward actually put meat chunks of chicken. The crispy seafood noodles however was amazing.

The best duck meal and it’s £11.20. “Barbecue meat on rice” - this sits on the menu discreetly under “Rice”. You get almost the same amount of the juiciest roast duck for less than half the price of other duck dishes! Comes with the sauce with some greens. Portion is filling, the photo is half-eaten. You can walk in, food comes out in under 5 mins during lunch during weekdays. I’ve been coming here for the last 20 years, alone and with noisy group of friends. Food and service are good consistently, a true survivor - quite rightly - whilst many other businesses come and go. So good!

This is a place to visit just for the food that is always consistently good. Service is the usual Chinese restaurant standard with frosty staff and the carpet is very dirty and worn but the food always makes up for it. Be aware the prices on the website aren’t the same on the menu!

Over the years, this has been our go to Chinese in the whole of London. Authentic and incredible food. Not the most glamorous establishment, but that is not why you come here. Everything amazing, but try the Prawn Toasts, you will never have any as good as these.

Probably one of the best places in London to get cantonese roast duck. It's been around for so long and there is a good reason for it.

When in London, we use to go to this restaurant, that we discovered in the mid-90s, and that remains a great reference when it comes to Cantonese cuisine. Last time we had a delicious Char Siu, the usual great roasted duck, tofu and plenty of vegetables, they make in the wok. Everything was excellent, and confirmed our idea of a great restaurant. Service in the Chinese way, but not rude at all, and we also exchanged some jokes with the lady there (never happened before!) All in all, always a good place, that we will visiting again, as we do since 30 years ago when in London.

Had relatively high hopes walking in, service was good and also prices for the dim sum dishes were fine. Ordered like 4 or 5 dim sum options for around 7£ each, I was thinking I may come here more often. Then the waiter was like do you want any vegetables and I was like yeah, some bok choi would be great please. So the food came and the rice Congee was good, the Bok Choi was good, the waiters were good, but the dumplings were quite average, below average and same as the beef Cheung, which was kind of supposed to be the highlight. I’ve dined at 1000+ Chinese restaurants and had dim sum all my life. This was below average apart from the rice and vegetables. At this point I was like this an ok restaurant, not sure if I’ll come again but it’s like alright… so the bill came and it was more than I expected, the other dishes were all 7£ but the bok choi was 20£. I asked if there was a manager around and he was like I am the manager. And I was like? Why did you give me the most expensive vegetable, I told him I saw bok choi for 7£ on another menu and he was like, that’s for the raw bok choi, we gave you the cooked one. And I was like well I was looking for just a cheap side of vegetables, some notice would’ve been nice, you mind taking off 10£? And he was just like na. And I was a bit like ok I’ll pay but it’s not great business. He was like I don’t mind at all, gave me very I don’t care vibes, just want that extra 10£. I was like you know I was interested in coming here possibly more often, I’m on Baker St a lot, I live around the area, this is just bad business and I’m looking for a good place for the occasional dim sum. And he was just like ‘I don’t care’. Was a bit strange, I said I wouldn’t write a great review and would’ve loved to come more often if he’d just been a bit more honest with the vegetable pricing, but the manager was very like, I don’t need you to be happy to make this business successful, so best of luck to him, I will be looking for other good Chinese restaurants.

Service is awful. The reception will give you dirty look, they will make feel sad before you eat and after eat.Very bad reception lady and bad service.
