Blandest meal I've had since arriving in London. 15% service charge is not clearly advertised.

Although the service was nice, the food was unfortunately very average especially for the price point. I went with a vegetarian friend so we shared all vegetarian dishes. We had the vegetarian dumpling platter (thought the skin was too thick and flavours were only average), salted yolk asparagus (the asparagus was not cooked properly and too crunchy), mushroom skewers (not cooked properly again and no flavour) and the vegetarian mapo tofu (good flavour and only good thing that we had).

My friend and I had the most amazing lunch experience at a restaurant I found through the First Table app. The best part? We got a whopping 50% off our food! This discount was so thrilling that we ended up ordering a variety of dishes, and let me tell you, each one was an explosion of flavor and color. The vegetarian options were abundant, and the exclusive wine selection was a delightful surprise. The service was quick, efficient, and the staff was always smiling. I highly recommend this place!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently visited Baozilnn in Soho and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was exceptional. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, each dish crafted with great care and attention to detail. The dumplings were perfectly steamed, and the curries had the perfect balance of spices. Even the presentation of the dishes was top-notch, showcasing the chef’s artistry. The service was impeccable, with staff attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a memorable evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and delightful Asian dining experience!

This is a place to go to!!!. Started of with a really warm welcome. The place is decorated so nicely with old and morden feel. Now the food...I've tasted alot of chicken satay and this was perfect, soft but little char on the outside. The sweet & sour chicken was perfectly balanced. The trio wanton noodle in chilli oil was amazing. Will definitely be going back :)

We loved that place! The menu is quite short for a Chinese restaurant- I was craving a couple of things they didn’t have BUT the tofu dishes were amazing! The pork tofu and the salted dry tofu - so yummy! The owners are super friendly and experienced, 22 years in Soho. The atmosphere was lovely, no loud music and very clean. And they have good wine! Excellent

Marginally “acceptable” food. Of all the dishes, we enjoyed the chicken wings and the king prawns the most. However, the “sexy cucumbers” were not spicy at all—in fact, none of their spicy dishes were spicy in the slightest! The crab meat soup was downright disappointing… absolutely no flavor. The custard bao also did not have a gooey filling, it was solid in the middle. Dandan noodles were also not authentic, it was dry and had no soup base! All in all, a very mediocre dining experience, and we will not likely return.

The buffet has so many choices, and it's a service buffet so you just need to order and waited for the food to come. The wonton soup, salt and pepper Chicken wings, salt and pepper squid fries are very yummy. And they also have Dan Dan noodle, with a lots Ingredients full with the bowl, it's not dry, very tasty! We also love the jiaozi mixes, the sauce is so unique, we never tasted that sauce before but it's good with the jiaozi. Perfect with people from south east China if you prefer sweet taste. Will say 80-90% recommended, as a Chinese. This is my fourth Chinese meal in the UK. I came here after reading about the dim sum buffet on Xiaohongshu. To be honest, I read a lot of different posts and there are always some recommendations. After eating it, I think to be fair, the food is OK. All the spicy oil platter dim sum are delicious and very in line with southern tastes. The dandan noodles are full of ingredients and sauce. I feel like the kitchen chef is very generous with the ingredients. There is so much minced meat that even the noodles are bottomed out and there is still some leftover haha. We had a shaomai platter. It’s rare to eat shaomai with pure meat filling. It was quite surprising. The skin was thin and the filling was thick. A friend came here a while ago and said the environment was very good. It was great to sit by the window and watch the night view of Soho. However, the service was very poor. There was an older waiter who was very rude. He seemed to be the manager. I was worried that they would order too much when eating the buffet. , has always been very disdainful. This time we came and were directly assigned to a table downstairs. We didn’t have a chance to see the window view, which was a pity at first. But the guys and girls at the front desk are so cute, they don't roll their eyes, and they greet everyone with smiles. Then I want to talk about the service downstairs. I think it is the ceiling of Chinese food service in London. The girl who took care of us downstairs had twin ponytails (Shui Bingyue style), she was very cute. The service attitude was very warm and considerate. My friend would cough in places with insufficient ventilation, so she immediately went to pour water for us to drink. There were several tables downstairs where families ate, and she was able to chat happily with the adults and children, and even gave lollipops to the children. The atmosphere on the whole floor is super good. My friend doesn’t like chicken dumplings very much, so during the second round, she told us to replace the chicken dumplings with shrimp. I'm from the south and can't eat spicy food very well. I was worried that the dandan noodles would be too spicy, so she told the kitchen to make it less spicy. In the end, the dandan noodles had a perfect taste. He kept running up and down the two floors to refill our drinks. Finally, we recommended bars and pubs in Soho that are worth visiting. I was very happy with this meal, which completely diluted my regret of not being able to sit upstairs. If the service fee in some Chinese restaurants is for comfortable seats and delicious food, the service fee for Baozi is entirely due to good service. Thank you to the kind-hearted Nimo.

We came here for unlimited dimsum for £25 which included fizzy drinks unlimited too. Sounds like goof value for money. However one of the servers ruined the experience for us. She's the oldest amongst the waitress with no people skills at all. Either she approached you with rudeness and was touching our plates even though we weren't done yet. Warning you have to finish everything or they'll charge you which I get. However we ordered the crab soup which tasted like saltwater there's no way you'll finish it. Bowl so small we only had 2 tsp roughly shared by my friend. As we were about to get our bill she shouted that if we don't finish the food we will be charged extra. I'd rather go to unlimited dimsum in ping pong than encounter that awful woman again.

The food is okay but the service is unacceptably bad. We booked a table for 3 for the Limitless Dim Sum Feast on a Saturday afternoon. For starters, they forgot our beverage order (tap water). Bits of our order only started trickling in 20 minutes after we placed them. It took close to a whole hour before all the items in our first order were served - with repeated reminders. This was happening while other diners who arrived after us were being served their orders - exact dishes we had also ordered. The restaurant is understaffed. Two of the waitresses we interacted with were also clearly unable to communicate in English. They were anxious and uncertain when we tried to ask about our order and we had to resort to speaking in mandarin. The food is passable, the dumplings would arrive stuck to each other (suggesting they might have been reheated from frozen). The dumpling skin is thick and clumpy. Only the small plates stood out - the salt and pepper baby squid was decent, the "sexy cucumber" was also a refreshing palate cleanser. The other redeeming aspect of our experience was the non-enforcement of the 75-minute time limit, which would have been unreasonable with tardy service. Temper your expectations if you are intending to visit.

Did not even attend this restaurant - I called to make a booking and was 'greeted' by an unfriendly host who made no effort to sound friendly. After arranging a booking, I asked if it was possible to write a note saying it was my partner's birthday, so if they could do anything to make the experience that little better it would be hugely appreciated. She acted like I had asked for our bill to be written off! Replying with "I'm not sure about that...", after saying I had worked in hospitality, and confirming I was not asking for a discount or for a free dessert, I said in my experience, typically on someone's birthday we might add some flowers on a desert, or make a cocktail that little jazzier, could you provide anything like that? she replied with "no we don't do anything like that, do you still want to book?". I said no, the worst service I have ever had over the phone and I never even went into the restaurant, I can completely understand some of the 'unfriendly' reviews I have seen below.

The small plates weren't bad but the "dim sum" itself (if you could even call it that) was chewy, tasteless and so subpar. The buns were thick and dry and the soups were too salty. HOWEVER! the staff didn’t mention that if you have any leftover, they would charge you extra for the dish… So when my friend couldn’t finish two buns, they charged us in the original price even we asked for the takeaway and no food was wasted☹️ It seems a bit unreasonable especially when they didn’t inform us about it before. Dinner with a friend on a Friday night. Arrived for our booking and was seated without delay, unfortunately we were seated downstairs in an area that has the atmosphere of prison cell. Chipped painted walls, with framed posters of someone I can only assume Chairman Mao. I honestly think the standard red plastic stools of street restaurants in China would have been more appropriate. Staff were friendly and helpful but that was when they could actually understand us. One girl had limited english so even though she was very helpful and happy to assist, some questions or comments fell on deaf ears. Mainly when we asked for the soup to come out first but arrived well after the other main meals were served. The food was good and arrived quickly. Some of the nicest Chinese I have had in London in comparison to food in China but I won't say it was amazing. Just good food is how I would summarise. Price wise, it isn't cheap either. 2 x Wonton soups, Crab noodles, shredded beef, mixed dumplings, Pak choi and 2 x tea - over £100 Worth a visit, yes, was it anything exceptional, not in my opinion.

It’s badly in need of some TLC - they may be aiming for shabby-chic but ripped vinyl seats and narrow hard wooden benches is a step too far! The tables were too small to accommodate several dishes. I was attracted by a bowl of crab noodles and checked into the restaurant. I thought it was an authentic Chinese restaurant, but I didn't expect it to be a fusion of creative Southeast Asian flavors~ Generally speaking, it's good and cheap, the quality of the ingredients is very particular, and every dish is beautifully presented. 🍽️Baozilnn Soho store 🌟Recommended dishes 🦀️Crab noodles have a completely different flavor from domestic crab roe noodles. I often make domestic crab roe noodles at home and have published several tutorials, but this is my first time to try crab noodles with Southeast Asian flavors. It’s sweet and spicy. The flavor is more layered with black fish roe. Instead of being greasy like crab roe, it has the deliciousness of crab powder. Every noodle is covered with sauce. 🦞Saba Seafood, a Southeast Asian-style seafood mixed dish, the merchant is very generous with the ingredients, the scallops are super big, the prawns and squid are all very fresh, friends with heavy tastes recommend this dish 🥧The dim sum platter, their dim sum is not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious. Each color has a different taste. You can taste the large shrimp meat in the filling, and the boss said that the color of the dough is pure vegetable juice, not pigment. 🍖The beef ribs with mushrooms should be made from the famous beef short ribs. The portion is large, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The dipping taste is very unique, and the taste of the mushrooms is just right. 🍆Zucchini and eggplant with black bean sauce. Zucchini and eggplant are fried so they are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I personally think eggplant is more delicious than zucchini. With the sauce on the outside, this is the first dish to be eliminated at this table. 🥩Secret Lamb Chops with Sydney Pear Salad. I feel that the flavor of this dish is comparable to our Xinjiang grilled lamb chops. The taste is very rich. The front notes are curry and nature, and the back notes are fruity and sweet spicy sauce. It is soothing and unique. 🍹His special cocktails are also delicious, including lychee martini and BaoziInn special cocktails. The citrus flavor is very fresh and the sweetness is moderate.

A super delicious creative restaurant 🍽, which combines Chinese food and Malaysian flavor. It is very particular about both taste and presentation. I heard that the owner is a hotelier, so he is very particular about the appearance and quality of the dishes. At the beginning, I went for this restaurant’s 🦀️crab noodles. The taste is very layered, combining the sweet and spicy taste of Southeast Asia with the salty and fresh taste of crab noodles. The combination of fish roe and shredded crab meat makes the taste fuller. The Zucchini and Eggplant with Black Bean Sauce is amazing as a vegetarian dish. The cubes of zucchini and eggplant are wrapped in crispy skin, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and paired with a delicious sauce. It is the first dish to be plated. The secret lamb chops with Sydney salad are comparable to the French lamb chops. The strong aroma of curry goes well with the tender lamb chops. After careful aftertaste, there is a light fruity aroma. I am very curious about how this dish was invented. Mushroom Beef Ribs🥩The tender short ribs and the crispy skin have a unique taste. It goes well with the grilled mushrooms and is worth savoring with the fragrant dipping sauce. The Sabah seafood dish also uses a very unique sauce, which has a light wasabi flavor. The portion is also very generous, 🦐 there are a lot of shrimps and big scallops! At the same time, it is very suitable to eat with the homemade dim sum platter in the store. The colorful shrimp dumplings and vegetable buns look very appetizing. I heard from the boss that the dim sum is also very particular about the coloring. Different from ordinary artificial coloring, roasted vegetables are used. Generated natural color. It is also worth mentioning that the cocktails prepared by this store are also very good. The baozilnn special blend of lychee martini and grapefruit has a fruity fragrance and is not sweet at all.

Amazing service and amazing food. The food was so fresh. The staff are unbelievably attentive and friendly. Has that hole in the wall character with the food befitting such a gem.

Celebrated Women's Little Christmas here! Not an obvious choice but a great one. The prosecco was flowing and very tasty. The dumplings , prawns , bao buns etc were so good. The service was friendly and prompt. A fine unassuming spot to raise a glass with dear friends and put the rollercoaster year of 2023 to bed properly

I went to Baozilnn for my birthday and it was really disappointing. The service wasn't great, we were ignored and after waiting ages had to flag down a waitress to take our order. The room we were in was cold and draughty with zero ambiance. It felt quite shabby and empty. The waitress refused to let us swap seats to a less draughty table (as mentioned, they were all empty) until we managed to persuade her to let us move. Food was average and there was no soy sauce on the table - they would only give us tiny dishes of it when asked (we had steamed rice, which was pretty dry without). I wouldn't recommend or return.

Absolutely mouth-watering dim sum in a quiet and comfortable setting. We came at around 1p (reservations are a MUST) and were seated quickly. We ordered only from the dim sum menu and were glad we did. We were treated to some of the best dim sum this side of Kowloon! The restaurant was such a nice contrast from what you get on Gerrard or any of the surrounding Chinatown streets. Quiet, uncrowded and with exceptional service. I can't recommend highly BaoziInn enough!

The food is fantastic. Not your off the mill frozen dumplings place in the Chinatown. Authentic cousine served with high quality ingredients. All te tastes are great. The pork ribs melt off the bone, the dumplings are filled with goodness and the noodles are fresh and tasty. Their service could be better although it is very authentic. The place is small so make sure you reserve a table

We only chose this restaurant after watching a Instagram post boasting the huge vegan menu, however upon arrival there was only few dishes and a lot of unavailability of dishes.. teaches me not to listen to Instagram.. the service was clumsy and shouty and portions sizes criminally small and overpriced... Would I recommended?? Nah .. Unless the boss is paying and you've already satisfied your hunger elsewhere

Great tasting food although a bit expensive. Salt & Pepper baby squid, Dumplings Platter, Emperor’s Tofu and Egg fried rice were all very good however the General Tso’s Chicken was excellent.

The dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. Highly recommend the Caramelised Peking Pork Ribs and the Mixed Skewers - tender, perfectly seasoned, and a feast for the senses. A must-visit for a unique culinary experience!

The food was amazing, however they threatened to kick us out even though one of the people was there on time for reservation, which was very rude. Overall the food was very tasty, especially the dumplings.

Lovely place in a great location, comfortable with very attentive and friendly staff. Ordered a bunch of dishes to try and they were all brought out quickly and all tastes great. The roast duck and the ribs were VERY good and the chilli crab noodles portion was huge. Music playlist was also very good!

We ordered the set menu and the portion is surprisingly large. The chilli crab noodles is definitely the highlight of the meal. The prawn skewers taste amazingly good and the lamb racks taste authentic. Would definitely visit again in the future!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at BaoziInn in Soho’s vibrant Chinatown, and I must say, it was an experience that truly elevated my standards for Chinese cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a memorable meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly the short ribs. Describing them as ‘life-changing’ might sound like an exaggeration, but one taste of these perfectly cooked, flavor-packed ribs, and you’ll understand why. They were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection – a true masterpiece of culinary art. The rest of the menu was equally impressive. Each dish was a delightful exploration of authentic flavors, presented with a modern twist. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was evident in every bite. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. For anyone in London looking for an exceptional Chinese dining experience, BaoziInn in Soho is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s a foray into the rich tapestry of Chinese flavors. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Came here after reading lots of positive articles about their Vegan menu. Unfortunately there aren’t any egan options except for Pak Choy or Dan Dan Noodle which I ordered and both were underwhelming. The waitress told me they changed the menu last week and the former full vegan menu is no more :-(

Lovely interior and quirky designs greet you when you go inside Biju bubble tea. It’s quiet enough that you can read and enjoy your bubble tea inside or you can take your drink to go. I have had fruit
