Update 2025 - £10 per head cover charge. This place is reasonable priced for what you get. You won’t get cheaper places other than Chinatown in London. Portions are generous and the flavours are close to what you can get in Hong Kong. The staff can be terse - do not expect silver service. I had worse service in Chinatown - London, Birmingham, Manchester. If you love roasted meat come to this place. The roast duck and roast pork is great. Carpark is under the supermarket 4 hours free parking (as of December 2022).

Good food but have extremely nasty staff like a female manager & the cashier. They have no people skills & how to treat customers & don't deserve to be employed in an establishment where there are a variety of customers who these nasty staff think that they can shout at & misbehave with! Ridiculous. 18.3.22 Tasty food & a pleasant waitress with whom a chat was had about unpleasant & cold staff who do no justice to the Cafe nor the hospitality business! 4.9.22 Tasty food & slightly better service. 2.11.22 Tasty food & friendly service by the owner as well. 11.11.22 Tasty food but has now started charging for small pots of sauces! Ridiculous. 25.11.22 Tasty food served this time by friendly & helpful staff. 13.2.23 Tasty food served by helpful staff & owner. 10.3.24 Tasty food served in a clean & bustling environment by helpful staff & friendly manager Sunny Lee. 27.6.24 Tasty food served by staff who are now friendlier & even assist customers i n choice of food to order. 28.9.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a clean environment with overpriced cans of soft drinks 🍸! 22.12.24 Hard BBQ meat & vegetables served by some confused staff in a generally clean environment but cramped surroundings. Been here many many times while shopping in Wing Yip - my favourite dishes are the prawn dumplings in soup, roast duck and crispy roast pork with rice. The chilli oil is good too. The only mark down is the crowd and perhaps sharing of tables if you’re dining alone or with one more. Best time to come is early in the morning before the lunch crowd! Recommended!

The waitress stationed at the cash machine was quite impolite and became grumpy when I tried to pay my bill in a combination of four one pounds, two twenty pence coins, two 2p coins and one 1p coin. I believe it's perfectly legal to pay in cash since those coins are legal tender according to Coinage Act 1971. The atmosphere, food quality and the service overall of this restaurant are good, but my mood of the day has been ruined after being condemned by that cashier waitress. After all, I expect F&B staff can deliver service in a professional and friendly manner. Furthermore, the taste of Milk Tea is different compared to my experience before.

Love the food as they're huge portions . Staff are knowledgeable and quick to take order, serve and take away. Love how efficient they all are. Tables were too close together and kept bashing chairs with a lady behind me so maybe need to space things out a bit more but business wise I understand you want more bums on seats than comfort for a quick and easy lunch or dinner.

This is an unexpected find. Simple no fuss Hong Kong style cafe affairs. The atmosphere is a bit dull but if you could bear with this aspect, the food served here wouldn’t disappoint. Will certainly consider coming again when in the neighborhood. We came for the Singapore Style Vermicelli and again we were pleasantly impressed. The standards are as good as those you could find in Hong Kong eateries if not better. You don’t come to Reindeer for its ambience. Do come with an empty stomach and you will go away very satisfied.

The roast pork was burnt on the skin n very very salty as sauce was poured all over it. The beef noodle wasn’t hot and possibly a left over. The sweet and sour pork wasn’t crispy as before. PRICE SCAM Went in to get a takeaway and the lady at the desk gave me a takeaway leaflet. After spending a few minutes deciding what I wanted I ordered and the price was different to what was in the leaflet - the staff member then said that's the old prices! Everything has changed - hmmm ok, so why give this to me? The restaurant menu has the updated prices apparently - the same dish is now suddenly £7 more! No thanks - what a smart way to get people to buy - if someone isn't paying attention they'll just pay the total and not realise they are being scammed! Won't be returning - Reindeer cafe is much better so ill be stickinv to that from now on - unfortunately it was closed by the time i arrived.

The food here is always excellent. It is made to a high quality and is reasonably affordable, and portion sizes are very generous. The food quality is worse than before, the dishes are thin, The boy who was alone had a good attitude. Just like the last two times, they were very polite. When paying the bill, after comparing the totals, I ask you how much you paid (that is, I ask you if you can add a tip) We did get a small tip, because it was even more than the same amount. The woman who paid the bill was disgusted. She didn't say anything, so she just gave us the real amount. After paying the bill, I was the first to get up. I just passed her... she While we were walking, it was obvious that we were talking to the other waitress, because the other waitress turned around and looked at our table without knowing it. Do I have to give you some advice in the dining room? Are you talking about people behind their backs like this? Do I, Lao Feng, have to do it for you? It’s the second time I’m with a woman (the one who pays the bill and receives the money) who can’t hear clearly how many times we have to talk. I don’t mind. Do you mind if I give you a smaller tip? After this experience, I won't go there again!

A hidden gem and my favourite Cantonese cuisine! Their roast meats such as roast duck, crispy pork belly, char siu are the best especially the roast duck (as you can see from my photos) The skin is crispy packed with flavours and not too fatty. It is a must try if you ever visit! They have a wide range of food selections to choose from similar to the traditional HK cafe as well as bubble teas, smoothies etc. You will also get to experience the HK cafe vibe which can be a bit noisy and crowded. Most of their dishes have the authentic taste. Price wise it is very reasonable too and big portions. Customer service wise it’s not too bad and service charge is optional. They are mostly busy on the weekends until late afternoon like after 5pm and walk-ins only. Highly recommended if you love roast duck and affordable meal that taste amazing and don’t mind the noisy and busy atmosphere. There’s also a massive parking lot where you can park for free.

What can I say, since finding this place after shopping in WingYip, we stopped going to Bang Bang for our Chinese food fix. Why here- great wokwhei only some chefs can achieve. Just like the old London Chinatown with Chefs from Hong Kong. They close really early at 730pm and they start cleaning the floors at 7pm and the whole restaurant will stare you down at 725pm. Eat hor fun, deep fried crispy noodles with whatever protein you like. Roast duck, roast pork and Char Siu are good. Beef brisket (Ngau Lam) is good enough, not the best I had. Portions are good and price reasonable. Chinese tea is gbp1 per person and they top up the hot water. I hope they keep up the standard.

Last week we bought bakery to take away, however after getting home we realised a couple of cookies were missing from our order. A week later we went back for lunch and mentioned that two cookies we purchased a weed before were not in the box. The response was "sorry but there isn't any proof that the cookies weren't in your take away order and we don't make mistakes as we always count them" What a shame, a regular customer who has spent thousands of pounds over the years, gets such a response for the sake of two cookies. All we wanted is a short apology and the two cookies that were missing but we got neither and they made us feel we were not being honest. Its a shame because the food is actually very good, but staff lacks both manners any form of customer service.

Reindeer Cafe is my ‘first choice’ go to Hong Kong Chinese restaurant. It’s a cafe style restaurant & competitively priced. No fixed service charge & tips are at your discretion. We always tip; minimum 10%. It’s always busy at lunch time, so I avoid the busiest period. I prefer not to share a table with people I don’t know. If I can’t, I’ll go to the bigger more elaborately styled Wing Tai Restaurant next door. Also always good. However I’m rarely disappointed at the Reindeer Cafe with any dish I order. The food is always consistently delicious, always plentiful & the menu offers a great choice. They have the best Hot & Sour soup for miles around. Our favourites are; mixed meat Ho Fun; deep fried beef & black bean noodles; beef brisket (any way you want it); Chinese curry; deep fried squid; barbecue meats; duck, chicken. You name it, I love it, even if it’s a dish not on the menu, they will always try to oblige. The Reindeer cafe also has a busy Chinese bakery inside so you can take away a great variety of cakes or enjoy one or two with a bubble drink or Chinese tea also in the cafe. There used to be a few outrageously rude staff who seem to be no longer there now, thankfully. The new ones are much friendlier now. Well done! Rude churlish staff greatly distract diners from having a positive experience & causes the restaurant to lose regular diners. I highly recommend Reindeer Cafe.

The food here is not standard Chinese restaurant anglicised food and the dishes on the menu are quite varied. Having said that the quality is not outstanding but reasonable. I ordered crab in ginger and spring onion but the sauce itself was lacking in flavour even though the crab was super fresh.Roast duck and pork was as good as anywhere. The only surprise on the menu is that vegetable side dishes start at £10 and rise to £15 for something like morning glory - strangely expensive! Overall we spent £40 a head with tip but no drinks which was good considering that we had a huge crab.

If they decided not to bill the service charges, that's their call, then don't ask for tips, simply bill the service charge and go away. No air-con, awful services. One of the most disgusting places in London, highly recommend Not to go.

Food was not that great. Seemed like the chef was rushing to close for the day or something and dishes weren’t mixed / cooked evenly. Went to pay at counter and staff seemed annoyed and started shouting which table we were on. But food reasonably priced and with nice choices.

Location: Just off the A406, and it is inside the Wing Yip building, not the easiest to find (where the entrance is) but you should be able to find it. Food: This is a Cha Chaan Teng (Chinese: 茶餐廳), so I will provide review based on Cha Chaan Teng standard. I have ordered the following. Hong Kong Style Milk Tea with Condensed Milk – The tea was a disappointment and I could have made better tasting tea at home. The tea was very weak and have no favour. In summary, rather rubbish tea and could be one of the worst I have tasted in the UK. Iced Lemon Tea – It looks good but tasted horrible. I am not sure what is wrong with it but it tasted (unusual). No further comment on this. Hong Kong Crispy Noodles with Pork (港式煎麵) – Well… the noodles was not crispy enough and the pork with sauce was tasteless. I did not ask for Red Vinegar, if I did, this dish may taste better. Another disappointment. Baked Portuguese Chicken Rice 焗葡國雞飯 – I can only assume the chef has no idea what he was doing. In summary, no curry favour and no coconut favour. The onions was good and the rice was “bake” but overall, it tasted nothing like a Bake Portuguese Chicken Rice. Also, the chef used boneless chicken breast but I was expecting chicken pieces with bones as this is a Cha Chaan Teng. Char Siu (叉燒) and Siu Yuk (燒肉) Roast Pork – The Char Siu was good and I enjoyed it. It was warmed up before being served on the table. However, the Siu Yuk was another disappointment. It was cold, the meat was chopped into very very very small pieces. The skin is not crispy and the worst is that the Siu Yuk was flooded in soy sauce. Staff: The staff were friendly and efficient. However, the lady at the counter (the cashier) was rather rude. But hey, if she is counting that amount of money every day, she is entitled to be rude and drive customer away. Conclusion: As a Cha Chaan Teng, a real disappointment. I will NOT recommend to others and unlike to visit again. Having said that, I have heard from my friend’s that the Egg Tart and Pipeapple Buns are good but I have not tried in this visit. PS: Atmosphere earned a 4 stars because it has a Cha Chann Teng atmosphere.

Actually update on my review, I ordered £275 worth of food, the young guy serving me was fine, but the roast duck chef, could me puk gai!!! Basically a very derogatory swear word in Chinese! Funnily enough, I can actually understand Cantonese as lived in HK, didn't make a scene, but will never order for the office again, more like you puk gais! How dare you call me such a word, when i'm sending atleast 300 a quarter for my office. your loss. rude and totally upset.

If you want to eat Shanghainese food, don’t come here. None of the dishes are authentic. The braised pomfret uses freshly thawed frozen pomfret. No sugar is added to the braised dish and it is thickened. There are three pieces of fried rice cakes in the flower crab fried rice cake. The crab meat is still uncooked and transparent, and the soup is not fried. How dare you say that you are fried rice cake? The price of 19 pounds of garlic water spinach is pitiful and the portion is so small that I’m crazy to try to steal my money. Onion and ginger mutton chef uses beef instead of mutton and still doesn’t admit it haha Don’t be fooled by the pictures on the menu, it’s not what you get. Do not come if you want to have authentic Chinese Shanghai dishes. The chef can not cook, he even couldn’t distinguish between beef or lamb. Definitely overpriced

Authentic and delicious dim sum! Dim sum is more elevated than the other places as they don't seem to be streamed from previously frozen batches. Prices are the same as those restaurants in Chinatown - I was told that most restaurants' dim sum are from wholesale suppliers. Dim sum in London have gone up be double, so I feel that the value for the quality is good in this restaurant. I also like that the location is situated in a nice quiet office neighbourhood since Chinatown area is so busy these days.

The original branch of Four Seasons Roast Duck in central London is renowned for its succulent and juicy roast duck. The duck pairs perfectly with pickled vegetables and chili oil, served alongside steaming hot rice for a satisfying meal. The roast duck features a crispy skin with a generous layer of fat. The stir-fried vegetables are delicious and offer a nice variety. However, the price of plain rice is slightly on the higher side. The owner and staff provide excellent service, making for a pleasant dining experience overall.
