The best restaurants serving British food in Haverfordwest: Castle Pembrokeshire West Wales

Me and my partner came in today to have some icecream, struggled to make up my mind with the flavours but both had salted caramel with two drinks! The woman who served us was so lovely and it’s nice to see someone genuinely happy to see customers, didn’t mind us sitting outside either! Will definitely be coming back soon!

The food here was the best I've had in a long time. We had the smash burger and the chicken burger and swapped chunky fries for skin on fries. Absolutely delicious, we couldn't stop ooing and ahing the whole meal. Burgers came with an onion ring, side salad with tasty dressing and small pot of coleslaw. So good I might go again tonight! Finally our waiter was charming, I wish I could remember his name.

Having travelled past this pub/restuarant many times over the years, it was time for a late lunch so popped into the Greyhound. Didn't book and was accommodated within the restuarant area. The serving staff were great and attentive whilst giving space to eat the food. Some unusual combinations on the menu so be adventerous as it will pay off - an example of that was the fennel and gooseberry salad - quite a taste on the tongue! Chicken pate for starter was creamy and tasty. Cheese board had a great range of cheese and the portions was plenty for 2. even 3 could have a great meal. Outside there was a great energy with many people at the tables or using the pods which was great to see. Do try this venue for something different

Evening out with friends lovely atmosphere gorgeous good 1 star off cos took a long time to get food other than that cant fault Christmas dinner at Castle was awful duck over done couldn't even taste the duck, turkey over done although probably because not in their own kitchen or building staff looked stressed didn't look happy at all and not much room on table for everything not a very good dinner 😔

This has to be the cheapest Sunday lunch in town but it's still great quality. Choice of three meats with a great selection of veg and homemade gravy. Friendly, efficient staff. You can eat in the restaurant or bar, both informal and comfortable

Hello first time visit yesterday was lovely food but appalling 2 young girls staff who was laughing very loud for some period time and nobody was telling them off working as a waitress for for many off my working life this is unacceptable behaviour stay away if you want a relaxing quiet meal .I was continplating moving outside but it was too cold so made our exit as quick as possible. Apart from that food was great.
