The best restaurants serving British food in Talgarth Powys Mid Wales

We visited this restaurant as a party of 12 to celebrate a 60th birthday, apart from a child aged 4 the rest of the table were adults. Julie, the owner, went out of her way to make us and the 4 Yr old very welcome. The whole experience was marred by some other diners (women) who were making comments about us being 'rough' and tutting that we were making to much noise when the 4yr old was laughing. We visited from Bristol suburbs. I didn't pre book and arrived at the Gurkha Inn wanting to have a couple of drinks before our meal. They had a lot of tables booked but agreed they could fit us in later. They got a table free half an hour later. We ordered 2 main courses and 2 rice's. The portions were large and delicious. Excellent food, quick and friendly service. The prices were also very low. Anna
