Took my 10 year old today. She loved it. Made quiche & Jan tarts from scratch. Excellent teacher, patient, informative & very encouraging. The quiche & Jam tarts are delicious. Can’t wait to go back next week. Would recommend!

Arranged to meet friends here for a lunch and a catch up. This is a very popular visit with very pleasant surroundings through a very large conservatory contributing to a very well lit area. There are a number of tables within the conservatory and your extensive menu is on the table. There are hot and cold food choices ordered at the server and brought to your table. We opted for chicken and rice soup and tomato and vegetable soup. To accompany the soup we ordered cheese and onion toasties and cheese and ham. We had carrot cake put aside for later that was the last of it. The chicken soup had a distinct homemade stock flavour with generous amounts of chicken through the rice and veg. The toasties came with crisps and side salad and coleslaw on the side. They were very well cooked with a generous filling. Finally the piece de resistance the home baking carrot cake came bursting with flavour very moist and topped with a very sweet icing. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.

Avoid until the manager/owner recognises that her behaviour is incompatible with hospitality, although I suspect she's not the type of person to take feedback. I wish I'd read the reviews before I spent my money there. I didn't enjoy seeing an elderly fellow customer shouted at about a coffee, or other customers being told off about where they sat, and I didn't enjoy seeing a staff member being told off either. I also didn't enjoy hearing plates crashing about, if you have an open kitchen you might be aware of this. The food was nice enough but overpriced and the menu is very limited. I'm afraid there are no reasons to visit the cafe that are greater than the reasons not to visit. I'll be back to Culross but not to Biscuit.
