The best restaurants serving British food in North Eastern NI

Fantastic bakery in the middle of ballymena.

NOT A SIT-IN, pictures of indoor dining such as food on plates etc should be taken down so it doesn't give the impression that it's a sit-in.

Ordered at the counter and sat at the only available table. Table was uncleared from previous occupants dishes and crumbs. Sat like that for 10 minutes until the food appeared. One lady lifted the dishes without saying a single word. It was like a silent admonishment for sitting at an unprepared table. The other lady then sat down the food. The crumbs and bits were left unwiped and the table uncleaned. Used to be our favourite Carrick cafe, not any more. Terrible attitude and poor standard of cleanliness.

Only went for Sunday carvery. Was pleased with the service and quality.

Food was nice. Staff friendly and the place itself was lovely. Cash only though. Sign for this wasn’t noticeable enough as I didn’t notice. Staff should mention this when seating customers as I was flustered when checking out.

Cozy country pub with a lovely local atmosphere. Food was home-made and delicious. I had the scampi and my wife had the pepper chicken, both were wonderful.

Food was great and service was excellent. Chloe and Carol went above and beyond to make sure our grandson's birthday dinner was a lovely experience for us all. Nothing was too much bother and they made a lovely evening extra special.

Honestly I have no idea why this restaurant had such a high review. The food was actively terrible, and I am not a picky eater. It also was so expensive. The service was not friendly and very slow. The restaurants was dirty and smelled strange. We stayed at the hotel, which was lovely, but I would NOT recommend eating at the restaurant.
