I love coming here for lunch with the family.. food is delicious and portions are generous

Service is awful for getting something to eat, literally stood for 10 mins trying to get a hold of someone then a further 20 mins sitting there and had to go up to bar to ask for a server! Absolute joke

My first visit to Carrickfergus G.C. Very pleased with the course. Some tight fairways concentrates the mind as to club selection. Greens were true and overall a lovely course to play. 1st hole, dog leg right, plays over a ravine with a water fountain, nice touch.

First class meal served by Eileen very helpful. Flo at the bar was so hospitable and helpful definitely worth her weight in gold lovely lady

Steak was like chewing chewing gum.cover with tobacco onions on a large plate by its self. Waited about 10 mins for sponge and custard. Sponge was terrible, must have been made a day or 2 before . Custard was heated up from day before. My wife and myself when to cellebrite 53 years of marriage We will remember this one. TERRIBLE.

Low rating only because the restaurant had shut

Restaurant 4* food and service cant fault. The first and last time we wil be back though. The bar where we where seated is a different story , I never knew of no dress code untill i had to be asked to remove my cap and asked was my shirt a rangers shirt, , as no caps or football shirts where allowed I wasn't wearing a football top,even though the week before i was told united and liverpool was playing, and place had footy shirts both sides , her resopnse only special occasions then they can be wore ! Then while being showed the rules like a child some elderly rude women by the name of flo butted in , also remove your cap blood was boiling at this point , we where about to walk out but food arrived , felt like we where being looked upon the whole time , steer clear P.s flo think it's time to hang up the boots

1st class course with great hospitality and catering. Would thoroughly recommend to individuals and societies.

In on Sunday. Super cheap £12 Two courses you can either have a starter or desert with Main meal I went for veg soup starter and cod and chips main. Food was lovely great atmosphere. Carvery also Available. Nice location and views

One thing wrong nobody knows what is going on, are events on, don't know, can you book a table, don't know. They need to update their events and restaurant web site if they want to be considered a restaurant

Fantastic time was invited as a guest ,with my wife for Ladies Captains night,a night to remember ,the meal the bar ,and the service was second to none the staff so friendly , First class service from start to finish , highly recommend 🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️

Just had a fantastic 3 course Christmas dinner here. Staff where really friendly and efficient. Will certainly be back again.

I'm hoping this was a one off as Carrick golf club was always a great place to go for a meal. But this night wasn't good. My son and I ordered steaks and chips my wife chicken and chips. Steaks were ok as was the chicken. The chips were like they had been cooked a dozen times worst I've ever had in any establishment. The place had a fee tables free so wasn't overly busy but we had to wait quite a while on our order being taken. And again our plates being cleared we had to wait ages for our bill seemed to me the staff hadn't been doing this for too long, even the chef came out of the kitchen to clarify something he didn't look happy. Sorry C.G.C but won't be returning.

Course wet in places, greens soft and slow, some greens bare on edges just flattened soil. Greens are true enough but you need to hit the putts. Balls plugging on fairways after a few days of rain. So soggy in places and generally soft with little run. Course good enough lay out.

The food was lovely, always a nice meal, staff are lovely and go out of there way to help. The views over the golf course are breathtaking.

Well matured well looked after course. Greens always in fantastic order but its a straight hitters dream thanks to the many trees. Good test of golf. Friendly welcome awaits in clubhouse and food is excellent

Great club, good course and a very good restaurant. Well worth the journey.

We were taken at very short notice on Saturday night as we were let down by another establishment. The food was great, steak cooked to perfection and service was great too, especially as we arrived after last orders. We also couldn't believe the value of the meal, we will definitely be back!

We envited friends for dinner at the club our meal was excellent as was the service as it was first time for our friends we were delighted when they said they poked fortto next visit. Thanks to all.

As a regular I have dined here over the past few years..the food was always excellent ...better than excellent with chef Andrew but since the new caterers took over it’s dreadful....very bland cafe type food....this is obvious in the empty tables on weekends...steaks are tiny...mushrooms seem to be cooked in margarine....I think the chef needs to watch James Martin on a Saturday morning to understand how important butter is in a kitchen...we are more than disappointed in the golf club as it was a very convenient place for us to dine in and meet friends.

We took the family out for a birthday meal at the restaurant, the food was outstanding and being gluten intolerant it’s hard to find a good place to eat out , well the chefs gluten free options was beautiful, we will definitely be back again soon , and the staff couldn’t do enough for you , thank you’s for a great night

Was here last night for a birthday dinner food was gorgeous i can recommend the hake i also had two young children with me and staff where brilliant with them and very patient would definitely recommend and will be going again

Great friendly and welcoming service.Good portioned meals,your typical sports club food,and very reasonably priced.My only complaint would be the coffee,it was horrible.

There has been a change of management and chef and the food is now very disappointing. Three of us ate here and had three different meals. All very disappointed. Even the chips were not nice.

First time there since being taken over and have to say food was delicious portions good and price hasnt changed much. Few things changed n taken of menu but overall a great place still. Will def be back

Wasn't at all apprehensive about coming here after learning the catering staff had changed hands but I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed. The menu didn't have half of the variety as the last one and the food just wasn't up to par (pun intended). We both had the 10oz ribeye (looked quite small to me) to be cooked medium well, they came well done. The chunky chips were ends of chips that must have been cooked several times as they were stale, and came with two button mushrooms and one onion ring, the sauce comes in a ramekin and we had to ask for another, also asked for veg and I still left hungry but I wasn't ordering a dessert as I felt we had just already wasted £16.95 each on the main. This was the best place for food in carrickfergus but sadly I can't say that now. On the upside, our server was a lovely chatty young girl who had asked if we had been coming for a while before the take over and we told her we had and always recommended it to friends and family. On this occasion I had to tell my sisters that they wouldn't like it anymore as it has changed completely in my book

Heard the catering staff had changed and worried the standards had changed. It hadn't four of the party had surf and turf all four declared steaks were perfectly cooked to each persons requirements. , one had a delicious beef burger which was rated outstanding by a burger connoisseur 16 year old and the one child in group had lurverly chicken gougons. Nobody rushed us and we had a lovely evening. Thank you staff and chef

Friendly atmosphere .Bar service with a smile and really good food.Golf course a bit wet at the moment.Looking forward to summer conditions Watch out for the first tee ,shoot over the water to a lovely par 4 green.Some short par 3s for the high handicapper.Shoot over or around the mound on the 16th for an interesting second shot to the green ,making sure to avoid running of the left side into the water.Very enjoyable course with little or no hills.

Had my mother's 70th birthday dinner here and the evening was a success. The food was delicious, well presented and arrived on time. The children's meals were substantial with a good variety. Wine menu had a good selection at reasonable prices. The staff were brilliant and coped very well considering they had 3 birthday parties and other diners to contend with. The restaurant manager was particularly helpful in organising the birthday celebrations. Would certainly dine at the restaurant again.

Fantastic dining. Delicious food. Clean plate every time. From the mushroom starters , to the trio of meats main course.. Cannot fault any of it. And good large portions aswell. Highly recommended.

Never had a bad meal here. They say you pay for what you get but it's not too expensive but great standard of food. Well worth the money.
