I've ate out at this restaurant several times before and was always impressed. Today we went for the carvery and despite being advertised it wasn't on. We ordered from the sunday lunch menu. My husband had turkey and ham dinner. There was no vegetables or no roast potato. He had turkey, ham, small amount of champ, Yorkshire pudding. We had expecting the have vegetables with it on a Sunday roast. I had pork and again it was a small portion. A small amount of champ, small amount of shredded cabbage and the quality it's self was just Ok. I don't think I would return

Gluten free no problem, I had the battered chicken, garlic chips and bbq sauce 😋 👌 Can not fault the food or service. Hubby had salted chilli chicken loaded fries. 100% would recommend

Really disappointed with the service in Dougie's goodies, I asked for fresh cream in an apple turnover I was told No the bakers are to busy, I used to work in leiths home bakery and if a customer asked for cream in an apple turnover I would of went and got the piping bag myself and put fresh cream in it which only took a minute. They have lost me as customer and lost a sale

I was very impressed by the vegetable broth I had here on a recent visit to the town. The sausage roll was also very good. Extensive menu and popular with locals, shoppers and tourists.

Went here today for a family occasion. There were 8 of us and everything was absolutely perfect …. No hiccups whatsoever. Food was lovely well presented and warm ……these guys could show other establishments how it’s meant to be done . Everyone had dessert and again absolutely delicious. …. Would definitely e back . As for pricing it was fair enough as we had a 10%off voucher which made it even better. Highly recommend a visit

First time I’ve been to Whitehead golf club for lunch. Great view from the restaurant across to Whitehead. The menu was varied with about nine main dishes to choose from. My brother and I had salt and chilli chicken in ciabatta 🥖 with pepper sauce and some green leaves on the side. It was very tasty and good value at £9.95 each. Service was prompt and friendly even though a large group had just arrived.

Went last night April 18. Service was excellent except I ordered the Fish pie which consisted of 95% potato and 5% fish. It was the worst fish pie I have ever eaten and at £28.50 the most expensive

I felt so bad that I eat a lot less than I used to, and had to apologise for leaving half the plate. Because their burger was delicious. The beef must be Aberdeen Angus, the bacon cooked perfectly and not chewy, loads of cheese, plenty of crispy tobacco onions and a generous portion of peppercorn sauce. The skinny fries were crisp outside and fluffy inside, neither dry nor soggy. My wife is coeliac so needs gluten free and there was a good choice for her. She chose the chicken stack which had plenty of peppercorn sauce. Only the onions were changed to plain fried instead of tobacco. We were so full we didn't chance dessert so can't comment on that. Warm atmosphere and service was prompt and friendly. Prices were as expected.

On behalf of myself, Family and Friends, I would like to Thank Everyone at Carrickfergus Golf Club for hosting the Reception on the 13th November 2024, following the passing of my Brother James (Jimbo) Harvey, 17th February 1970 - 27th October 2024.
