Had lunch here at 12:00 on a Tuesday. Interesting menu. The french onion soup was outstanding and teh fish pancake was delicious - something I never had before. They do classic stuff here like steaks, pies and burgers but the little twists on the menu are refreshing. Food was high quality, very easy. Beers on pump were Timothy Taylors and Theakston's best. Staff were wonderfully kind. Will be coming back.

Always lovely food and a warm welcome, we come almost every week for coffee and treats. Such good pastries and bread. Dog friendly.

The BEST Sunday lunch going and we’ve tried many many places. Everything is beautifully cooked, fresh and tastes delicious 😋 We’ve tried the day time menu too and the Smash burger wrap was amazing. We will deffo be back to try the daytime and evening menu. Lovely friendly staff and AMAZING food, highly recommended giving it a try.

First time visiting the cottage inn as had seen a good review on Facebook. Unfortunately did not enjoy it, the menu is tiny and I could have cooked it better myself - wish I had tbf as waste of money. I had the fish and chips, fish was tiny and mushy peas came in a tiny pot. My partner had the flat iron steak, it was grey and was chewy and no sauce comes with it so had to use mayo. Chips were not homemade just frozen. The man behind the bar was really friendly and the pub would have been nice is it was warmer. Just a shame as we don’t go out for meals that often and thought we’d get some nice pub grub from somewhere local. Won’t be returning
