The best restaurants serving British food in Penhill Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We stopped in here the other day and what a fantastic experience! The food was fresh and tasted lovely. Best part of our visit was the 'banter' we had with the owner, great sense of humour which is a rarety to see these days. Would highly recommend visiting if your in the Dales.

We’ve stayed here this weekend for 3 nights with our family of 13 and had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The bedrooms are so cosy and comfortable and we’ve had the best nights sleep each night. The bedrooms and bathrooms have everything you need and a simple request for anything you need is quickly attended to. The staff are amazing especially Jake nothing is too much trouble, he makes sure your stay is just perfect he’s so professional. And onto the food well what can I say it’s just delicious. Everything everyone ordered was beautifully cooked with local fresh produce. We’ve all had a fantastic time exploring the area with walks and visiting local castles and water falls. Can’t wait for our next visit 👌👌👌

Lovely little traditional pub with a friendly welcome. Excellent draft Guiness.

No beer on draught, no food available. The only drink on tap was from yorkshire water. Don't know how the landlord makes a living, rumour is he has funds hidden in a barrel of Wensleydale Gold.

We were staying here on the wonderful seasonal offer the place is lovely and very cosy.after pre dinner drinks we were shown to a nice table in the main dining room. Instead of the seasonal menu we both went off the alacarte menu our starters were chicken liver parfait and a smoked salmon new potato tian with crab and both dishes were delicious. For mains we both had their famous seafood pancake it was a little under seasoned and a bit watery accompanied by a nice Sauvignon blanc and excellent service.
