Superb chippy! We had a family over & decided to have fish & chips before Christmas, all well enjoyed. The curry & gravy was soo delicious as well!

Christmas lunch at the Kingsway with three generations of the family . Quite a challenge to satisfy all tastes but this was achieved with no complaints . Warmly greeted on arrival with a most imaginative menu to suit all tastes including those who want more than traditional fare . The food and service were excellent . It was particularly noticeable that most of the staff were regulars which helped the service go like a well oiled machine . Clearly considerable thought went into the planning of the day , with the objective of ensuring all guests enjoyed the occasion . A most successful , memorable day , and for that ALL the Kingsway staff involved should be congratulated . Well done and thank you !

Danny Andy and will are the best team they make excellent food and are very kind. Parsnips and roast potatoes are the most delicious. Highly recommended to come and eat here.

Food was great, it was cooked very well and service was quick. The waitress I had called Evie was splendid and did everything she could to make it as enjoyable as possible. Overall a great experience, would recommend

Came today for festive menu in fact only just left here..couldnt fault it.lovely warm pub,food and service excellant.many thanks to Sam,Amy and chloe, merry Xmas.from. Sue n mandy x the raspberry vodka was brilliant as well.

WOW JUST WOW 😀 I never leave reviews but after tonight I am going to if places treat us like this. From walking in the staff was sooo friendly. My daughter was eager to see Santa and we ended being the first ones there. The got colouring for my daughter, gave a letter to fill in and post to Santa the elf's came over and talked to her and did some colouring with my daughter. She played games and the present from Santa was awesome to top it of she got an ice cream afterwards. We had to leave early because we was on to our next Christmas event of the evening. But I would like to say the helm is a fantastic place, great food and definitely family friendly. I just want to say thank you all for a great night we definitely will be back

On arrival the place looks very appealing and an extensive menu ( not cheap ) Unfortunately the quality of the food is not the best , which would not reflect the prices as its not the cheapest. Bread was cheap , eggs were watery The staff are not the friendliest either. We had a sickness bug the same night and I wasn't sure if it came from the same place ( I visited with my sister and 18 month old ) Anyway a week later I returned with my partner and dog just had a cake and drink. The same night and day after we both had a dodgy stomach and I'm wondering if it's from the same cafe ? I'm not 100% sure but I won't visit again now
