The trawlerman in North East Lincolnshire

This place has changed over the years, after last year (2023) I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back, but I'm glad it did. Myself and mostly Gluten Free family had lovely carvery. - Good Cleanliness - Decent Atmosphere - Nice Setup - Meat was cooked to perfection. 🤌🏻 There's were however a things that wasn't particularly great... - I was the only person in the line for a carvery and I watched 12 minutes go by. - The roast potatos were VERY crispy. - No more refillable drinks! I got very annoyed standing there, I have a blue badge due to my disability and my lordosis wasn't doing great but I managed. I know people that wouldn't be able to manage that kind of wait which could take away their independence. Admittedly I only had one roast potato, I like to think I pick the ones that look the best and look fluffy. But the texture and taste wasn't great. Could have been a bad pick, bad batch or just a bad day. I have really enjoyed them in the past. For a refillable drink it only cost 15p more than a regular pint of pop. 😬 So I was shocked to find that there is no more refillable.

Excellent value for money. Fresh veg on the carvery and a good selection of meats. Very friendly staff. Very pleased we decided to pop in.

Lovely people. Sons burger ok carvery abysmal , vegetarian sausages like chipboard , broccoli overcooked and everything cold. Maybe an off day but it was awful

FIRST OF ALL, THE SERVICE WAS GOOD ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT BUSY. THE CARVERY WAS NOT VERY GOOD. THE MAN SERVING AND CUTTING THE MEAT ETC WENT INTO THE BACK (KITCHEN) AND LEFT US FOR A GOOD 4 MINUTES BEFORE COMING BACK TO SERVE. THE BEEF LOOKED OVER COOKED SO I HAD TURKEY AND GAMMON WHICH WAS CUT VERY THIN. THE VEGATABLES ON DISPLAY WERE, PEAS COLD AND HARD,CAULIFLOUR ALL STORKY,BROCCOLI LOOKED DRY. THE ROAST WAS HARD AND SORTIE. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED AS WE HAVE EATEN THERE MANY TIMES BUT UNTIL IT IMPROVES I WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN.

Great food and drink just popped in for a bite to eat on my birthday and a pint great value and a brilliant team well done Trawlerman.

Lovely place ,very clean, staff warm and welcoming , good size portions ,cooked freshly and presented nicely, hot and delious,and quickly only waited about 10 mins, we had burgers with fries ,which were crispy and hot , pricing was fine , in fact for the size of the portions , very good ,would return and recommend to everyone, the toilets were spotless ,smelled fresh , clean

Had the carvery served by kelly it was amazing my husband cant eat cauliflower with cheese sauce so they did him some with out and broght over carot and sweed mash when rwady thank you so much

Good cooked food, carvery was good, pickled cabbage was lovely and the roast potatoes . Only thing I would say is maybe more of a greeting by the restaurant staff upon arriving and leaving. Would go again however.

Fab little find while staying at Haven Ordered 2 adult carvery's, 1 child carvery and chicken burger. Food was delicious and well stocked. staff were very friendly. had a massive slice of cake which was very dry, but with cream my son ate it. would visit again.

Travelled 60 miles because we enjoyed it last time we came ordered beef and got three little pieces size of a fifty pence piece don't know how they go on with small carvery definitely not value for money

Went for carvery with family. Had to ask for fresh meat as what was out was bone dry from being sat under lights too long. Server not happy at my request and said "I suppose I can". Veg was hard, instant mash and toasties like boulders. Staff couldn't have cared less when I complained and gave them my full plate of hardly touched food. DIABOLICAL FOOD AND SERVICE.

Tuesday night First time here for my partner and I. Food was very good and atmosphere good also. Deserts great also with a few games of pool also

Wish I had not chosen the carvery. Very little meat and dried up veg. Other non carvery meals coming out looked better . Outside looked very dark and not inviting, had I not booked I would have gone somewhere else. Drinks very expensive. Once we had eaten some of our carvery we could not wait to get out of the place.

Went today, family of 3. We all commented on the poor quality of the food. The meat (beef & gammon) whilst tasty was cut very thin. The rest, very disappointing. Cauliflower cheese had very little cheese and was watery. The roast potatoes were like rocks. Overall we were all disappointed with the meal.

It was very nice and the pigs in blankets were very nice and the Yorkshire puddings were very nice and tasty

The Trawlerman is a gem! The staff there are incredibly friendly, and Donna, in particular, was a superstar. She made our evening extra special with her attentive and welcoming approach. Staff are belittled in front of customers, for not buying a Christmas top to wear for work!! It was embarrassing to watch and embarrassing for the member of staff.

Planed a evening with colleagues looked at the opening times on line , only to be thrown out by a rude and arrogant bar person, at 10pm last orders not sure if this was the manager presumed not as there was zero customer care or expectation. basically did not care if i contacted head office with my complaint or not sad would never return

We came Tuesday evening. Excellent food and service. The lady at the carvery station was lovely, the meat was over cooked and she couldn’t apologise enough and did give us extra meat portion. The bar man was polite and welcoming.
