The best restaurants serving British food in Liversedge and Gomersal Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

We have drove past this place many times and always said we would give it a try - today was the day! We were pleased to see that they have an upstairs area with additional seating which was useful as seating is limited in the main part of the deli. I ordered the chicken pesto melt and my partner ordered the halloumi, harissa and hot honey sandwich with a side of crispy potatoes. We also ordered a vanilla latte and a vanilla iced latte. Both the food and drinks were very tasty and plentiful. The sandwiches arrived toasted with crisps on the side which was a nice addition. We found the menu to include a varied choice of options which swayed away from the generic cafe sandwiches which is always good to see. We will certainly return as the food was good quality and a reasonable price.

I’ve been to Healds Hall many times over the years for weddings which have always been fantastic, absolutely beautiful location (great for photos) Today I went with family to Afternoon tea with Frank Sinatra, which was amazing, lovely food, great attentive staff (especially Matthew) and the singer was absolutely wonderful! Would highly recommend this place to everyone

Our 3rd Walking Group Meal at The Star & once again excelled in service & quality. Many thanks to Ian & Amy for managing the booking who were happy to add people at short notice & adjusting the menu to suit any dietary needs. Amy, Chloe & the 2 Smart young Men who quickly served 30+ drinks & followed with the meals with great efficiency. The food was Quality as everyone commented - thank you Chefs. Our group came from all over Yorkshire & commented what a lovely large airy space for a group meal up the slightly raised area along with a more intimate conservatory for smaller groups & couples - Well done The Star & do highly recommend -:Thank You. Food is absolutely brilliant! Called in on the off chance and have since visited 3days in the same week. Can not fault the food,service,price or the staff. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and make the dining experience very enjoyable. No faults at all!! And can’t wait for the next visit (already booked for the Sunday lunch)

Very reasonable food for the cost. Menu variable and there are daily deals on the board. Special 2 for a tenner meals and a good children's menu.
