Very reasonable food for the cost. Menu variable and there are daily deals on the board. Special 2 for a tenner meals and a good children's menu.

Visited before and during management takeover - some disappointments a couple of months or so ago, but tonight (9th Aug '16) was exceptional: food was hot, plates were hot, service was fast, and food was cooked as requested - and still great value. We brought friends who have been with us many times to The Liversedge who all said tonight's was the best food yet. Well done and keep it up. Thanks x

Well not sure how to start but here goes. Firstly, they did not accept credit cards etc. so my husband had to drive to the local AtM machine. Ok not their fault. Technical difficulties. I ordered 'Dry white wine and lemonade with ice no lemon. Received Dry wine wine. Asked again for dry white wine with lemonade in a tall glass i.e Spritzer. Received same wine in the same glass with a dash of lemonade. 3rd time lucky got it right. Very quiet with not many customers 4pm. Tables dirty (asked 3 times if they could be cleaned) heating not working. We should have walked out then but we still had guest to arrive. Out of 8 meals 3 came and had been eaten before the rest had arrived. Other tables complaining in droves and leaving without paying. Children's food arrived with peas instead of beans (ok not a big deal but no appology) my Cajon chicken with Coleslaw and Corn on the Cob arrived with no Coleslaw or Cob just scabby oily chips (and I mean scabby) and the most ill looking salad or should I say (1 slice of cucumber, 2 sorry looking onion slices and the few smallest poorlyest brown edged look lettuce leaves you have ever seen. (no tomatoes) Still no appology or explanation. We have to search for our own cutlery but ended up asking for it with any sauces we required. I asked for fresh salad which consisted of a few more lettuce leaves and cucumber (still not tomatoes!!) the majority of our meals were warm (ish) Now I know I seem harsh and believe it or not I am not one for moaning as we can all have a bad day. BUT as the youngesters say OMG !!!!! will not be stepping foot in that hovel again. Dark, dingy, dirty, drab. Needs a dam good clean and a kick up the backside. The management should be ashamed.

My Mother's Day treat was a tea-time meal at Lillibet's Liversedge. The kitchen staff really need to get their act together because they couldn't organise a booze up in a brewery. They didn't even get the drinks right, and Guinness wasn't available. The waitress was clearly as mortified as we were with our meals. They were soggy, cold and in a couple of cases not what was ordered. A slug would have refused the lettuce on my daughter-in-law's plate. Some of us had finished before others had even been served. People were walking out, and I don't blame them. Being busy is no excuse. In the food industry where there is so much competition, they really need to pull their socks up at this place. To add insult to injury the card machine was 'broken' so it needed a trip to an ATM before we could pay. Suffice it to say we didn't risk a pudding!! One thing is that we'll all remember it, if only for the wrong reasons.

What can I say? You get what you pay for. It is cheap food for people without much money. I hate to sound snobby, so forgive me - but this pub has food aimed at limited budget families, which is fine - but it isn't good. The ribs are all fat. The burger is cheap. However, the chicken and bacon salad is actually VERY good! Oh, it is a 2 for 1 and if you turn up with 3 people, you don't get the extra meal (that you paid for as part of the 2 for 1!).

We have visited this place quite a lot in the past and it has been o.k. for the price. But we visited on boxing day 2012 and could find nothing about it acceptable. The whole place is scruffy, the 2 red painted 'oil cans' on the entrance steps for the smokers were surrounded by mountains of cigarette ends, the entrance was badly in need of a good clean and refurb. We should have driven off at that point ! The menu was very limited, and they hadn't got some items that were on the menu. They hadn't got one of the lagers we wanted either. We then had to pay upfront without a receipt and no receipt for the credit card payment. Then 45 minute wait for terrible food. One of our party of 4 didn't eat a thing and the other 3 left most of it. When asked was everything o.k. we said ' no terrible'. She said she would see the manager and that was the last we saw of her or the manager. Yes, the whole place was scruffy and yes the sticky tables needed a good clean ! Will be surprised if it survives.

Used to come to lillibets a lot about eight years ago with my family. Was a cheap place with deals but always good for the family to have a drink. Came with my friends and was expecting it to have improved since it was a long time ago since last visited. The place was even worse. The till was broken so we had to wait even longer. With no apologies the other customers were becoming inpatient too. When our food finally arrived it was pretty standard. The food wasn't the problem. It was the atmosphere and the place itself. It has potential however it is not fulfilled as the staff are not motivated and it just looks run down and as the other comments add, rough. It could do with a clean. However the toilets were clean and the car parking and location is good, just need to spruce up the place and employ jolly and welcoming staff or a bit of advertisement. Could be a great place.

Food's ok. Atmosphere is not the best - not very friendly and service is average. Tables desperately needed cleaning too.

I suppose that when you go for a meal and order rump steak with all the trimmings at £6.95, you shouldn't expect too much. Actually it was ok, just. The meat was fine but the chips and onion rings were anaemic and needed a couple more minutes in the fryer. However the pub is very tired and badly in need of a deep clean at least and preferably a revamp. I'm afraid that until I hear that it has had this facelift, I shan't be going again.

Arrived in the que for lunch at 11.27 am today with +50 people in front of us. There was only one person serving at the time. While waiting in the snaking barriers they opened another que at 11.45 pm on the other side. The people in the back of our qué ran over to the one they just opened. We eventually got our food at 12.15 pm. Also, the tables and chairs were dirty. The food was fine but the wait was unacceptable. Very bad management.

After a bracing walk around part of Digley Dam this was an ideal stop off to satisfy healthy appetites. It wasn't particularly busy so my friend and I were fortunate to select a table by the window to sample views of the surrounding countryside that the area is famous for. We both chose the regular Fish & Chips, good value at £12 though smaller portions are available at £9.50. My friend's Side Salad cost £4 which I thought expensive for what he received while a side order of Mushy Peas set him back £2. I thought the drinks were expensively priced, £2.90.for a pint of Fanta Orange but we'd visited for the Fish & Chips and these were delicious so it was definitely worth the effort. The menu is quite extensive so there are plenty of alternatives to satisfy most appetites and palates. A good experience.
