A very friendly staff local pub. The staff were brilliant and the locals seemed very nice too. Excellent food and drinks alleys on offer.

Corben was amazing, never had to write anything down, carried all the plates away at once and always made sure everything was ok for us. An absolute treasure 🫶🏻 Plenty of choice for food too

I had previously been here after a long walk on the canal and the ham sandwich was lovely service was good the only thing my freind and I were concerned about was the lack of salt you had to ask for that and mayonise, no salad cream either. However on this occasion the ham sandwich was disgusting there was no ham to say the least it was like mashed up tuna no sliced ham like the first visit. So I stated that the sandwich was different and felt there was a lack of ham in the sandwich the young girl just said well that’s it but if you want I can get you some where making me somewhat greedy when this wasn’t the case at all just lack of ham in general, I then took a teaspoon and managed to scrape the ham of the sandwich and this just filed the teaspoon which was half of the sandwich. Will not be returning after this bad experience there was no way that was a portion of filling for a ham sandwich If management want I’m happy to discuss the reviews photo will be added

Great atmosphere Good food Good price

Lunch booked for 13.30. Very pleasant bar and waitress, the food was delivered promptly and it was outstanding. I had the sizzling chicken which is one of the best I have ever tasted (maybe the sauce could be too sweet for some but I found it really tasty). My wife had scampi, both meals were plentiful. The bar area has a wonderful open fire and great atmosphere. We will return.

Food is nice but overpriced. Paid £4.95 for the smallest hot chocolate ever. Cold evening out but the pub was also very cold. Couldn't enjoy our meal because we were so cold.
