Over the years we have been a few times and usually it is good pub fayre. Today was rather poor I am afraid. They do get very busy on a Sunday and had some sort of event on but they would be used to busy Sundays you would think. Service was good, quick, efficient and friendly. Starters- 3 of us had the black pudding/scotch egg on specials board. Worst Scotch egg I have ever had in a pub. The egg was halved, hard boiled and looked like it was cooked last week and just popped inside. I couldn't even eat it it was so overcooked. A good scotch egg should have a semi liquid yolk that flows beautifully as you cut into it. Mains were better to be fair, but no crackling on the pork dinner for my mum, father in laws "roast potatoes" were really just a bit of solid mash, and my Yorkshire pudding was inedible and could have been used as a projectile weapon. Desserts were decent, but would not be dashing back. food is inconsistent.

Wow....I have been looking forward to breakfast all week and booked in to take my husband for his birthday. Absolutely perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection. Thank you Kim for looking after us. 😄

I ordered a chicken burger and it tasted of fish,it must of been cooked in the same oil has there fish ,so I was very disappointed, service was poor

Been to the Airedale Heifer a number of times over the years in the evening and after seeing the new breakfast menu advertised online I thought I would give it a try with a friend. Food was lovely and really reasonably priced - enjoyed our time catching up in the restaurant before it got busier for lunch time! Kim our waitress was super friendly and attentive and made our time even more enjoyable. Would definitely come again for breakfast!

Thought we would try the breakfast after seeing it been promoted on their Facebook group. Was not disappointed everything cooked to perfection and piping hot. Service was excellent , young man was very polite and professional on arrival and through out our visit. We not been for breakfast before yet have been in past for lunch and evening meal . Well done to all be definitely coming for breakfast again ticked all the right box's.

Came here for my mum's 60th meal a few weeks ago and all the family had such a lovely time. The atmosphere was great and all the staff were super friendly and professional. What I was most impressed was how they dealt with our long list of dietary requirements , it was no problem for them and this made me feel relaxed and able to enjoy the experience. The kitchen did a fantastic job catering for us all and everyone enjoyed there food.

Frequent visitors. Not busy, plenty of staff. Slow service. No staff smiled. Drinks took forever to come, almost finished our drinks before my mums coffee arrived. Ordered 2 roast dinners, 1 small roast which just had frozen peas ans carrots on (other roasts had good assortment of veg albeit hard) and a tiny bit of meat which was gristle. Dad's pie had been re heated all meat dried up and couldn't cut through pastry it was so hard from over cooking! Roast potatoes anaemic and hard looked like been done in a dryer not roasted. For the price and previous visits we expected more. Celebratory lunch for mum getting through cancer treatment ruined. When they came to clear plated we told the server our complaints who said and did absolutely nothing about it, not even an apology. Staff don't care. Won't be returning.

The meals were great. No problem there, quickly done. I must say the service was exceptional on our visit. We had a toddler with us that had a hissy fit over a specific sandwich, not available on any menu on the planet. The staff and chefs went beyond the call by going out to a local supermarket for the ingredients and made the screaming one her bespoke sandwich. Hats off the the staff!!

We regularly come to this pub for lunch always very friendly staff. The staff are attentive and helpful with any requests. Makes our visits a pleasure.

Visited with family for a festive lunch. Glad we had booked as it was really busy. Greeted and taken to table. Nice table but a little cool near doorway. Had a super meal. Everyone cleared their plates. lasagna was delicious. Chicken kiev was enjoyed too. Portion side very good. Not much space for deserts that's for sure! Service was polite and friendly. Slightly longer wait for food than normal but it was busy and the food was well worth it! Would definitely recommend.

Christmas Lunch here was our family time to be together at the airdale heifer. Close together for all meeting.. Arrival was great and seated promptly. It was a nice atmosphere and I suppose what I'm going to say is I wish we had shopped around and looked at other pubs offering a Christmas lunch. We paid £85 PH ( Way too expensive in my opinion!) Our two 3 year olds shared an £85 meal with not a choice for kids unless they had a roast turkey. On previous outings eating out I believe this was a very very average meal with one or two plates having different veg and I will say the worst roast potatoes I've ever tried to eat. So mediocre food then asked quickly to disperse as the next sitting was already congregating in the entrance.. I would not recommend as great place for Xmas meals but thank you to the two ladies who served us in our allowed slotted time.

i called in one afternoon, i was hungry and just called in on a whim...although it was pretty close to the time they stop taking orders in the afternoon, nothing was a problem for them. It was clear they had been busy that day, they still treated me like i was their first customer that day..tremendous...i sat on a quiet table, ordered roast of the day...it was perfectly cooked, prepared and delicious...they were obviously busy clearing up after a busy lunch time and preparing for the evening but they don't let they customers see it..i was in there for a good 30 minutes after i had finished eating and made to feel completely welcome to stay. i need to make time to visit more often

The majority of the food was fine. Not excellent, but tasty. However, if you are going to the Heifer, just avoid everything fried. One of our party had the mozzarella sticks that were called in batter. It was so thick and greasy and took away from the cheese. Then for the main, one of us had the fried chicken burger. Again, it was absolutely caked in batter. So thick, and virtually inedible. Not fun to eat at all. Plus, it tasted like the oil was old and hadn’t been changed. I tried a bit of the chicken burger when the other member of our party gave up trying to eat it, and all I could taste was old greasy oil. I’m writing this review the next morning, and I can still taste it. It’s a shame because everyone else’s meals were nice, just avoid anything fried!!

Over 8 years of living locally we have give The Heifer a fair few chances and I am just disappointed one too many times. More than one of our party needs to be dairy free due to allergies and the waitress told us to check the allergy menu. 97% of the menu has dairy in and I explained this staying it would be helpful to know if any recipes are possible to adapt. For example, for fish and chips or if aomeone has mash can it be swapped to another side? She rolled her eyes, tutted and walked off saying she would talk to the chef. It was my birthday and if it was earlier I would have left but with a young child we didnt have that option. The gyros plate was disappointing. Barely any chicken which was dry, a tiny greek pitta and the £15 was largely just for fries. The vegan tzatziki used dry herbs. Every time I try Heifer I am now disappointed. Last time I went in the reheated lentil buy was overmicrowaved to the pointed the potato sizes turned rubbery.

This is our all time favourite pub/restaurant. Had several visits both inside & out. Staff are great and the food consistently amazing. From Sunday lunch, to sandwich and chips, never had a fault. Gem of a place 5** all the way.

We have just visited the Airedale Heifer pub Bradford road riddlesden Keighley . We arrived at 2.50 pm which was just in time for the afternoon lunchtime menu My wife and I both had the same two courses for £15.95 each Starter Mushrooms in a cream n garlic sauce with ciabata bread 😋 Mains Tipsy chicken tender chicken breast cooked in a brandy n Mushroom sauce with sautéed potatoes n vegetables 😋. The food was excellent quality and the staff are extremely hard working and very friendly. We highly recommend The Airedale Heifer pub in Keighley 5 star's 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Several of us visited the pub, which was really busy, on a tea time. The food was very good, as always but the service was slow. More staff needed, the ones that were there was rushed off their feet. Two little niggles.....they wouldnt let me order a pint of beer for my son (who is 22) as he didnt have ID with him, even though we were eating and (my main grumble) there was a big party with several VERY noisy and unruly small children, the parents were busy getting trolleyed and letting their children do whatever they liked, I mentioned this to the main waitress who just shrugged! She didnt even bother to have a word with the parents. Im sure it wasnt just our table who had their meal spoilt either!

Poor food, waited an hour for food & one was a sandwich. Salad was old yellow lettuce, nothing else. Had to get up and ask for spoon, ketchup, then the chips that were missing. My friends roast had hard pots & they didn't have any carrots to serve. Won't be going back, rather have a Toby's.

Fantastic atmosphere with a great selection of drinks with they're own brewed ales! Beer garden is big and the pub have a great buzz to it even mid week. The food however was a different story. There's an expansive menu but decided to go for the trio of sausages and mash. The mash was undercooked and lumpy and the entire dish was swimming in gravy. The starter of ham hock terrine left much to be desired as well as it was served on budget white bread. The terrine really deserved a better bread and no need for a salad imo. This is pub grub after all but expected more with the big menu. Staff were great and will be going back, just disappointed in my meal.

Visited 19th August. My husband and I were meeting my cousin and her husband. Having been before several times, I have always rated the food and was looking forward to it. My husband and I shared the chicken strips to start with, they came with a lovely dip. I had ordered the hot pork sandwich. When it came, there was no gravy served with it. I had ordered chips, but they were served after the sandwich, shouldn't they all come at once?? When I bit into the sandwich, there was no meat. I opened the sandwich to find the smallest piece of pork. I asked the waitress where was the rest of the meat. In fairness, she did offer to bring me more meat, however I responded and said it shouldn't be brought out to a customer like that. When another waitress came to clear the table, she didn't ask how the food was. You can either pay at the bar or at the stand where people are booked in. This is run by a woman who clearly can't take criticism. I told her how poor my sandwich was and her response was, you were offered more meat, I then re-itterated that it shouldn't come out like that. She stood and looked at me for several minutes and I said have you anything to say, no!!!! I will not be going back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rude staff and rubbish portions.

Myself and 2 friends visitird the Airedale Heifer on 16th August. Despite there being lots of vacant tables inside which remained vacant during our visit, we were informed they were fully booked and so sat outside. We all ordered different main meals, however shared 2 sides of cheesy garlic bread. The food seemed nice at the time of consumption. A few hours later however, by 11pm all 3 of us, one of us who is currently 8 months pregnant, suffered severe stomach cramps and voilent episodes of sickness which continued throughout the night. The sickness subsided within a few hours, but mild cramping remained for a day or two. I emailed the restaurant to let them know how poorly we had been as I was concered that others may have been poorly too amd to ask for an investigation. I have been left really dissapointed with the response from the Airwdale Heifer, with refusal of any form of refund of the almost £70 we spent on the meal, the mere 'goodwill gesture' of 50% off our next visit (we wont ve visiting again) and the lack of investigation due to noone else reporting any illness from that night and without us seeing a doctor (one of us tried but the doctors were too busy to see us when we felt okay the next day) no acknowledgement that it is highly highly likely it was their food who made all 3 of us poorly.

Very warm welcome and fantastic service. The food was fabulous especially the clam starter and pink topside of beef roast dinners. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Have visited Airedale Heifer a few times and always had lovely food. However I've just been with a friend and we had the roast sandwiches. £10.95 for dried up meat in 2 pieces of bread with limp pea shoots a few crisps. We asked for gravy as the meat was so dry it was inedible. How about a bit of stuffing or apple sauce or something? The gravy came and it had gloomy lumps in it. Told the waitress and we were offered free puddings which we didn't want. Really disappointed this time

Good local restaurant, excellent choices of menu (visited at lunchtime). Service is fast and food is served quickly. In warm weather, it’s pleasant being sat outside in the beer garden

Usually love it here and it has always been one of my favourite places to eat. Unfortunately my recent experience was really disappointing, I came in heavily pregnant with my child and a couple of family members. We asked if we could eat outside under one of the tables near the door which had a cover/roof but we’re told not if it’s raining - there has been a tiny bit of drizzle so the manager went outside to decide then she told us “we can order to eat outside but if the rain starts again they won’t serve us.” Whilst we were sat outside looking at menus it began to drizzle ever so slightly so we thought it was best to go back in and ask for a table. At this point they told us there was no tables whatsoever, ( we spotted a few but they were quite large tables which did not have reserved signs?) And that they wouldn’t be serving us outside in the slightest little bit of drizzle. So at this point we’ve wasted our time and it was too late for us to find lunch a somewhere else as we only had a couple of hours. What a shame this experience left us feeling really fobbed off as this is honestly one of my favourite places to visit usually and now myself and other members of my party do not feel too inclined to return
