What an excellent place for breakfast. Having recently moved into the area I came here to try this with my daughter. I had the veggie breakfast and my daughter had the breakfast stack bagel. Both were extremely well presented and utterly delicious. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the outside seating was fabulous with the sun shining even in mid September. So happy to have found our new breakfast out spot. We will be regulars.

Interesante y excelente comida. Generosas porciones. Clásico pero con un giro. La presentación fue buena. Servida profesionalmente. Definitivamente volveré. Nada similar en esta parte de Leeds.

Today my mum and I booked onto the 'Find Your Chocolate Love Match Workshop' at Hotel Chocolat. I highly recommend this chocolate tasting experience. We had a fabulous afternoon. A huge thank you to Mark at the Bracknell store for making the experience so enjoyable, his knowledge of Hotel Chocolat as a company and the processes behind the chocolate making was superb. We learnt so much about the various chocolates and what would best suit our taste palettes.

Had an amazing time during our recent visit. The espresso con panna was exceptional, truly a delightful treat. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff; they were incredibly welcoming and ensured our experience was top-notch. A great place to visit for anyone seeking quality coffee and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Agua no coloreada

Food was tasty. We got a vibe from the staff, that wasn't very welcoming. It was very "this is a local shop, for local people". Which is fair, as we are from the next town. So, we probably won't go again.

I don’t normally write reviews but on this occasion I’m so dumbfounded I thought I would. We haven’t even made it to the Huntsman to eat. We booked for this Sunday (9th Feb) as a thank you for my parents. The Huntsman’s set menu on the website has starters and the carvery items outlined, but individual desserts are not listed and instead it says ‘our desserts change on a monthly basis’. Their menu is £35 for three courses which is fine. My mum doesn’t eat sugar or sweet items so I emailed them saying ‘Please can I ask that there is a non sweet option available for dessert either fruit salad or a cheese board as my mum does not eat sweet desserts. This is a special thank you for my parents’. There have been emails to and from in the last 24 hours in which a staff member (Stephanie) has replied through out with the following options; 1) the chef will do a cheeseboard for £4 extra 2) ‘you can bring your own fruit salad as this is not something we can provide’ 3) your mum can have huntsman homemade whipped ice cream as a stand alone dessert or 4) your mum can have one of the starter options as a dessert. Who wants to bring their own food to a restaurant or have a starter as a dessert after a giant carvery???! I replied saying that I wouldn’t expect to pay extra for a cheeseboard if that is the only non sweet option offered and that whipped ice cream is still sweet so that is not a suitable alternative. I asked if the manager could call me when he had a moment. Instead, the manager Adrian has emailed me this morning saying that he has cancelled our booking because ‘we have explained our options and you have explained that you don't want to go for them’. How hard is it, in this day and age with all the complicated dietary requirements that people have to, AT THE MINIMUM, go to the local supermarket, buy a ready made pot of fresh fruit from the fridge and serve that to us? Surely providing at least one non sweet option is standard these days? What happens if my mum was diabetic or something similar? It wasn’t a complicated or unreasonable request. Someone I used to work with years ago raved about the Huntsman Carvery and I have been meaning to go there ever since. I saw the reviews had declined but through I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try them. They have 100% done us a favour cancelling us so that we can avoid, what I suspect, would have been unwanted surprises on Sunday had we gone.

Brilliant Hotel, close to city centre with everything within walking distance. Recently refurbished with comfortable beds. Good cooked breakfast in the morning, glad I didn't take on board other reviews, people do love a Moan!!
