It's been a while since i ve enjoyed chips from a chippie. The reason has been chips had been over cooked, under cooked from other chippies. By chance, we stopped to get the children a quick dinner. The chips were cooked well and tasty. We ve had Lamb kebab meat, usually its spicy with chilli in the meat. However, here it's tasty. You can taste the lamb without your mouth being butnt with spice. I ve not had their chilli sauce as i dont enjoy the heat. I dont think there has been an evening when we ve not had to wait to be served. The staff work well and quickly. The staff are friendly and listern to your needs.

First time here - it won't be the last! Huge portions of fish - cooked to order from the second I walked in the door - and loads of chips. Bit of banter going on behind the counter. All good 👍

Went last night for 3 fish and chip meals but never again.Cost nearly £35 which is extortionate for the fish batter being limp and dry fish.The batter should be crisp like it used to be here.Dreadful and advise not going near until they get their act together.

Phoned up a collection order at 20.15 to be answered by a very rude and hostile woman ( probably a slow night and they close at 9pm) She aggressively asked when did we want it for, I replied asap as we are 3 mins away- she said ok I can get it ready. We ordered a small cod and a cod special box. Well the extra cod was missing despite my partner not being told, he just picked it up as I ordered it. It was cold and soggy. If you are open until 9pm then serve your customers. Or at least tell them there is part of the order missing-. Very very disappointed as the food and service has always been 100%. Who ever answered the phone today 27/2 needs a crash course in customer service.

A very popular and busy chippy,lots of offers with a varied menu, great kebabs too. Very friendly people. A good idea to phone ahead your order. Excellent.

Excellent fish and chips but a bit expensive but worth it.

There are so many choices for vegetarians. Food was so tasty and the staff were so lovely even though they were working so hard. Thanks, I will definitely be coming back.

Popped in when visiting the Rugby Tackle fishing shop next door. Massive portion of lovely cooked fish and chips. "mini" fish was the size of a regular in most chippies nowadays! Well recommended.

Best chip shop in Rugby. Cod particularly good but best to phone in advance to order and make sure you get it. Otherwise it goes fast in the shop and may not be available. Fast friendly service is the norm.

Absolutely fantastic food service and great owners

Disappointed. Fish was soggy on bottom and sticking to the takeaway box. Lacked in flavour and didn’t taste fresh. We were quite disappointed with our last dinner while in Rugby.

Fish & chip shop with the usual pies, kebabs etc. Haddock perfectly cooked - crisp batter, steaming hot fish inside, no plastic bags (they make it soggy). They have a nice charitable sideline where you can buy a meal for someone hard-up. Prices reasonable. Staff are cheery and efficient - all in all a good bet, I've been before and will go again.!

Visited here because my nearest chip shop was closed. What a delight! Until now all the chip shops I tried in Rugby were so so/average - this chip shop is the best in town! The chips were cooked perfectly and the battered sausage tasted just right. Think I'm going to have to drive a bit further for my sausage and chips from now on!

Can't really get better Fish and Chips this far from the ocean and they are consistently good too.

Extremely friendly staff very good service, I popped in and ordered 2 chicken & mushroom pies ,large chips, large peas and a piece of cod, drove to New Bilton with it and my 2 friends and myself thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it as it was still nice and hot and tasted delicious. Update October 2022 still as good cannot fault this chip shop.

They are so hard working. It is so busy there with all the different orders coming in. Quality of the food is excellent. Staff are great.

This has left my mind how the woman behind the till made me feel uncomfortable. I walk in with my kids about half 8 .it had already been along day and my kids wanted somethink to eat fast .I orld my meal witch I think I was a bit ova changed .I tried adding it up but on of the screens was turned off .I was waiting to be served And the young girl kept on staring at me and my kids .I was ask what I wanted .they put on more chips cuz they only had anoth for one .witch was nice of them .I think they close at 9 .I got my chips at 10 to 9 and the girl only said one thing to me and that was they look tired. Meaning my kids . Like I said it was along day cuz we had not long just come back from seeing there nan as it was her anniversary of the day she passed . All my kids was waiting for was the food I was ordering. not for they mum to get look at the way I did .I'm a head working mum .if the kids are tired, Double that and that's how tired mum's are

We had 3 cod and chips tonight 24/08. We got them at 5pm. The chips were inedible. They were the worst chips I have ever come across and I am 62. They were badly overcooked or possibly warmed up from lunch time to the extent they were brittle bits. We threw the chips into the bin and microwaved some mccain quick chips to go with the cod. We will never deal with this shop again.

Food is great and price is fair.

Went there a few weeks ago massive fish & chips then went there today & completely disappointed when the fish was much more smaller for the same price £6.50 they shouldn't trick people into this to come back again then get ripped off

Just the best chippy in Rugby....batter on fish is always as it should be, drained of oil and crispy and dry not like other chippy's where it's served to you with half a gallon of oil still on it, or even worse cooked to order, which is sad in my opinion....staff are really good, always welcoming, portion sizes are good, and prices are great too. Would highly recommend.👍

Good chip shop, nice and clean inside, friendly staff. Chips were good, not the best. Cod was on the small side for a large, but probably just an odd fillet that they had. But it was not greasy, and tasted great. Battered sausage and Chinese curry sauce were also good. Props to the owners for also doing so much for the community, especially during these weird and difficult times.

Best fish and chip shop in Rugby, so there is nearly always a queue; but this also means that the food has never been sat around for long either. The fish was cooked from fresh after we ordered. It's not on any of the delivery platforms such as Just Eat or Deliveroo, but is worth leaving the house for. As meals are served in boxes everything stays warm while you get it home.

Battered pigs in blanket was banging but had larger mini fish from other chip shops in Rugby compared to the large fish I had from here. I know it's a fish and chip shop and I expect it to be greasy but seemed a lot greasier than others. Chips were mediocre.

Terribly slow service, queues not even big but takes ages to go down. But food is really good.

Definitely 5 star rating, everything was piping hot, nothing was greasy, the chips were lovely the best I've tasted, although the peas were quite green they tasted lovely, the kebab was scrumptious and such lovely friendly staff, so helpful, they have a gluten free menu on Tuesday and Thursday, I'd definitely go again when I'm in the area

Visiting the area and decided to get fish and chips from here. I'll be honest and say that this was without doubt the best fish and chips my husband and I have ever tasted.

I have been here before and had no problem..however my visit there this evening was unsatisfactory. I placed an order for a ‘large’ portion of chips and curry sauce. The ‘large portion’ was enough for one. I’m now having to cook something at home, which defeats the whole purpose of going out to get something, so I didn’t have to cook! Won’t go there again.

Simply the best chippy in rugby. Spot on and love how crispy the batter always is. Lovely staff. Can be quite a wait if you go during peak times but well worth it. Recommend the battered mushrooms, they are perfect.
