We have lived in this area for 15 years and passed the Whitmore Tea Rooms many times. Today we stopped and visited the tearooms for lunch. I was very impressed with the ambience of the place, lovely bone china on the table. The good was absolutely first class and plentiful. A good selection of beverages both alcoholic and non- alcoholic were available. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the bill I thought was very reasonable for what we had for go our lunch. We will definitely be returning soon !

Beautiful spot overlooking the ponds, some people were swimming. Very busy although a handy drop off point for those who need it before driving to the car parks. Lots of young staff ,we were told an hours wait for food(about half an hour in the end) the tables stacked with used crockery. Could do with a bit of training. Mistake at the till, loos not to good. Food, coffee and cake OK We both the Ploughmans,Ham nice, one piece of mild cheddar, followed by an awful square of brownie.

I took my mum here for Mother's Day, for an afternoon tea. Lovely place, thoroughly recommend, friendly staff and delicious food.

Stayed here with a disabled friend for two nights. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. However the young lady who was serving breakfast on our first morning was surly and unhelpful to the point of rudeness. To give one example, when we asked for some toast she glared at us and said the toaster had been switched off!! She made us feel that we were a nuisance and her attitude really upset my friend who had made a great effort to go on this break. She thought the girl's attitude was because she had to serve someone in a wheelchair. However we did find out later that the girl is generally unpleasant. In my opinion she brings discredit to Slater's Inn. On a positive note, by contrast the gentleman who served breakfast the next morning couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
