You know its good when you arrive before they open and there is a queue - although my first thought was, will they be able to serve everyone on time. When the doors opened, everyone was seated in a relaxed manner - you have to order and pay at the till - which alleviates the above comment. We ordered breakfast and some drinks at the till and they brought the drinks out and not long afterwards, they brought out the food. It was spectacular - i only had a small breakfast, but it was plenty enough for me - the hot chocolate was lovely and not a bad price. We then went next door and visited the well stocked farm shop. Service was great.

Needs a bit more thought re customer relations. (Can I help you with your luggage?) Kitchen staff need to attend catering college. Room clean spacious and well equipped, bed comfortable. Beer on pump good.

stayed one night on 07.08.24. 2x people, 2x rooms. Clean 10/10. Ambience 10/10. Friendliness 10/10. Comfort 10/10. Beautiful rooms, view across to 500 year old church from the bedroom window. Large free car park as part of the hotel. And the breakfast was honestly the best breakfast i ever had in a hotel setting, 12/10 for that. Highly recommended place to stay by us.

Has been closed for years, it is semi derelict,a great shame as it would be a great place for the village if it would be able to be done up.
