We stopped for Fish and Chips in Barney at the Fisheries, the fish was absolutely beautiful, but the chips should not have been served, they were certainly not fresh they all went in the bin

Visited on March 31, 2025. You can see the beautiful building in front of the spacious garden even if you don't stay there.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! We unfortunately all became VERY unwell after eating a Sunday lunch here. We all came from different areas to meet at a local pub to eat. Unfortunately after consuming the food we all became very unwell including Vomiting as a result of food poisoning. The pub has handled our case extremely badly and has taken well over 2 months to contact us. Would not recommend eating here unless you would like to become ill.

We went into this pub just for a drink. There were 5 of us with 2 dogs. As we went in I politely asked the woman behind the bar if it was ok to sit round the back with the dogs. She answered with "yes". The most miserable bar person I have encountered! Anyway my husband went and got the drinks and came back with 1 glass of wine, 1 pint of lager, a coke, lemonade and lime and soda. The soft drinks were in small glasses, no ice and were flat. No slice of lime in the lime and soda. The most miserable drinks that matched the miserable bar staff! That round of drinks cost over £20. The table was grubby and so we're the chairs. What a horrible place. Such a shame!
