We booked a table for three at the Westbrook for Sunday Lunch last week. Two of us chose the Roast Beef, my father-in-law decided on the Cornish Sole, we all agreed that all of our dishes were cooked to perfection. The dessert menu was to die for and we will definitely return & wholeheartedly recommend the Westbrook. All of the staff were attentive, and the service was excellent, this was matched by the decor and ambience of this superb venue.

All too often, great restaurants don’t receive the recognition they deserve. We’re quick to share when a dining experience falls short, but not always as eager to highlight those that quietly excel. One such place that deserves serious consideration is The George & Dragon in Devizes. A recent visit had us grateful we made the journey. From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed warmly by the owner, instantly feeling at ease. The rustic charm of the decor complemented the inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for the meal ahead. The menu is well-balanced, catering to meat lovers, fish enthusiasts, and even offering thoughtful vegan options. But our focus was the fish - and it did not disappoint. From starters to mains, every dish was impeccably presented and cooked to perfection. The quality of ingredients shone through, and the attention to detail in both preparation and presentation was evident. Service was another highlight - attentive, professional when required, yet relaxed and friendly throughout. It was a refreshing experience to dine somewhere that strikes the perfect balance between excellence and approachability. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. For those who appreciate outstanding fresh fish dishes, The George & Dragon is well worth a visit. We’ll be back for more, and thank you for a fantastic meal.

Our first visit for breakfast and won’t be our last! Great service by friendly staff and the breakfast was fantastic. We had a large breakfast with tea and it came to £29.50 for 2. The sausages are gluten free and they offer GF bread. Plenty of parking in the car park opposite plus on street parking available too. If you’re a fan of a delicious breakfast the you should definitely visit.

Since we last visited they have added a dog friendly room for the days when you don't want to eat outside. I was able to park my motorhome without a problem & the food is good & reasonably priced. Certainly plan to visit again probably tomorrow!

My first visit to the Cross Keys and one of many to come. Participated in a chivelrous bout for the ages in the infamous premier pool league. Their tap water and ice is unrivalled and even better still, the owner and his family couldn't have made me feel more welcomed. Carvery is next...
