Booked a table for our last evening away, they are very friendly and accommodating and catered for food allergies too, you get what you pay for and you can tell the quality of the food which was excellent.

Friendly pub that's been freshly refurbished with comfortable seating in a not to crowded layout The food is outstanding quality, Sunday lunch is the best in the area, make sure you try the hunter's chicken. There's always a good selection for vegetarians.As for the staff they can never do enough for you.

6 of early dinner for the first time at The Westbrook - very friendly welcome & warm atmosphere. Menu was a good mix of fish & grill with some pub classics - between us we had the scallops and prawns to seat which were amazing then mains from fillet steak to homemade Steak & Guinness pie - all of a high quality

Booked after seeing the reviews and the menu. Opted for pork ribs which were so tender and tasty. Two of our party chose Cornish Sole which was also very good. There were so many choices on the starter menu that I would have a selection to share for a lunch visit next time.

Called in just on the off chance of getting a table on Wednesday evening. Sue was very quick to accommodate us with the last table available. Had the pork ribs, all i can say is fantastic!!!!!.. So much tender pork meat on the ribs, unbelievably i couldnt finish it. Very kindy tho we were given a take home box for our ribs. Thank you, we will return again, id like to try the steak next time. Tried out for dinner with some friends, and was very impressed. We didn't bother with starters and just went for mains. My generous portion of lamb rump was cooked medium rare without my asking (as it should be), and was tender and tasty with a nice selection of veg with it. The fish platter was great, though a little on the small side for a man, so my friend had the lemon meringue pie as a dessert, which looked good. The rest of us were too full to bother with desserts, but the coffee came with a tasty miniature millionaire biscuit. We didn't have wine, but the total including drinks, some alcoholic, was about £35 a head, and we found that very good value for the quality.

Had THE most amazing food at this wonderful pub. The portions were generous and everything was cooked perfectly. They cater really well for allergies, I had gluten free fish and chips and I think it was the best I have had. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, the pub has a very relaxed feel with very nice furnishings. It was so great to find this place as we had been disappointed by the choice of good quality food in and around Chippenham.

Great pub, very friendly staff, food very good, good choice of wine and beautiful wine glasses. Only downside is limited parking front and rear. Reversing onto busy road with limited visibility awkward.

Very disappointed menu restaurant food only no small plates or baguette or sandwiches at lunch time so expensive We liked go there with the children but will not return

Recently visited with some friends for an evening dinner. Pub has a lovely atmosphere with very friendly attentive staff. All our food was beautifully served and presented and was something to die for and we weren't rushed between courses. I would thoroughly recommend.

If you are after the ultimate dining experience then this is definitely the place to go - fantastic menu, quality of the food, the flavours and the whole ambience is all first class, definitely the best place to eat for miles. Thank you for an exceptional valentines meal, it was superb and cooked to perfection.

Sunday Lunch. Have eaten nice meals here before and decided to go with friends. Now though it seems to be more about covers than food quality. Beef was fatty and Roast Potatoes were burnt /soggy seemed to have just been left to sit in a pan of fat. Prices had risen £3 to £21 plus which i felt expensive for such an awful meal. Everything was about packing more people in with little focus on the food. Certainly not an experience to repeat.

So delicious! Great menu, really excellent food, and a nice friendly vibe. We'll definitely be back :)

Sunday lunch for 8 people at the Westbrook today, to celebrate a birthday. What a delightful place. Never been before. The service was excellent, food fantastic. The whole place is modern, and beautifully decorated and so clean. Staff were friendly without being obtrusive, We will definitely visit again and not just for Sunday lunch. An absolute gem of a pub.

Went for a family meal whilst on holiday here and we were blown away. Service was great, food portions were extremely generous and great value for money. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we’d had in a long time. I personally had the bbq ribs and I’ve never had meat fall off the bone so easily it fell apart in my hands and the flavour was incredible definitely a must if you enjoy meaty dishes. All in all an incredible experience and would recommend it to everyone who can go.

Kevin and Louise make a good team and you can't do better than when an experienced chef runs the place. Quality is always good and the menu caters well for vegans and vegetarians or those needing a gluten-free diet. Other pubs could learn a lot from this!

The meals are top quality every time. Excellent service from the staff. Nothing is to much to ask. I’ve been coming to the Westbrook for years. The steak served on hot stone so it cooks in front of you to how you want is so good. Portions are always good and served hot.

Visited on recommendation. Nice ambiance. Quality food/ingredients with some minor flaws. Scallop starter with belly pork and Stornoway black pudding was nice but scallops were overcooked. Ribs are highly recommended but sauce was a little too sharp and the chips were a few minutes off perfect. Best onion ring side we have had for a long time, not greasy and well cooked. Mayonnaise was quality and made me happy. Overall, nothing worth sending back but didn’t quite hit expectations given previous recommendation and other reviews. Excellent service. Limited WiFi range and performance.

Lovely pub with good atmosphere. The dish to have was definitely the fillet steak. If we had all had this then the review would probably be five stars. One had fillet steak - looked and tasted delicious - perfectly cooked. Second was the Guinness and Ale pie which had short crust pastry and was a bit dry (shame it wasn't puff pastry). Third and Fourth were both regular fish and chips. The chips were nice but, despite the fish being enormous, it was seriously overcooked. This meant the batter was very dark and heavy (not lovely light and fluffy as one would want) and the fish had lost all moisture. What a shame! If you are going to serve such generous fish portions then consider the batter and how long you cook it for? It was the worst fish and chips I have eaten in a pub restaurant. The best being the Greyhound at Bromham (unfortunately they do not do Gluten Free which our steak eater is). You do GF which is a bonus and you did provide extra gravy for our pie eater. Service was very polite and friendly. I would come here again if I was having the steak but not the fish and chips.

I visited this this establishment today having not been there for several years. My cousins and I had a very enjoyable lunch and I would personally recommend the dressed crab which I thoroughly enjoyed.Whilst I will certainly go back I have 1 minor criticism in that there is a sad lack of disabled parking spaces near to the main entrance with sufficient room to open the door of my car in order to get out of it.

An Anniversary dinner at The Westbrook proved to be enjoyable and to a high standard. Service was good and both meals met our expectations. Because of Lockdowns we have not eaten out for a considerable time and were delighted to venture out into The World again by starting at The Westbrook. Service from Louise and her young waitresses was very good, making us feel at home and relaxed.Around three weeks later we treated our daughter to lunch and we, once again, were pleased with our meal and The Service. we will return again soon. Friends took us to the Westbrook on Saturday evening, friendly staff lovely food. My wife is allergic to eggs, she checked with the server taking our order about a Marie Rose sauce, “does it contain eggs” the response was no it doesn’t, but I will make a note for the Chef.Starter arrived Marie Rose sauce on Side, my wife checked again with waitress, she went to check, it was made with eggs. Replaced with vegan Marie Rose sauce no eggs.Moral of story double check if you have an allergy, it could be a problem.Mains were lovely, two of us had ribs the other two fish and chips.

We went for Sundays roast .It was lovely,as ever fantastic helpings lots of fresh vegetables,gorgeous wine.All served with a friendly attitude.The food is always so consistently good.The owner always so lovely and heads a brilliant ship.The garden is a haven for the little ones.

First visit to The Westbrook & it didn’t disappoint. Nice greeting on arrival & we were promptly shown to our table. The pub is light & airy & although it was a very hot day the temperature inside was good. No concerns here about COVID. Hand sanitiser at entrance, all staff wearing masks & each table has a screen between to prevent any cross contamination.Felt really well looked after, the staff were kind, helpful & attentive, we had a drinks order taken quickly & then they returned to take our food order. The menu had a great variation of dishes but we chose the Cornish Sole & the Fish & Chips, both of which were delicious. So glad to have had the small fish & chips priced at £9.99 as the portion was very adequate. Batter was crisp & the chunky chips cooked well. Didn’t need the limp green garnish on the side. It didn’t bring anything to the dish or presentation. Lovely deserts to choose from, the Chocolate Brownie Sundae was spectacular & the Hot Chocolate Brownie (more of a fondant really) was great too.Finished off with a great cup of coffee in the garden where there is lots of space & which is well maintained.A lovely first experience & one definitely to be repeated.

What a wonderful place this is from the food to the great staff, we booked for lunch on a Thursday and wouldn't of got in if we hadn't.Garlic prawns to start, shell off and we had 9 each, then my wife had Cornish Sole fillets, I had the house ribs which are served a little differently but just so much meat on them.They have a specials fish menu which had 4 fish on and as it turned out my wife had the last Sole fillets. We shared an ice cream to finish which we really didn't need we were so full, highly recommend and you should book.Some of the best covid precautions we have seen in any restaurant/pub.

On holiday in Wiltshire & decided to book after reading the reviews. This place doesn’t disappoint! We had scallops & humus to start followed by amazing steak & Guinness pie with the largest portion of bbq ribs we’ve ever come across! Great service great surroundings can’t fault it.

Has a fantastic meal in the Westbrook inn. The bream and risotto was perfect and the steak pie to die for. Great ales to accompany the food. The pub has excellent touches in that the glasses that the drinks are served in are of a standard of high end restaurants. Highly recommended. The pub gives off a welcoming feel and all steps have clearly been taken to make individuals feel safe in these covid times.

We had a really good experience at The Westbrook. We were sat in their marquee which has been presented really well. Lovely environment and choices for all of the family. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return with the kids.

I feel compelled to write a strongly positive review after experiencing our first Takeaway meal from The Westbrook this eveningThe food was delicious, the portion size was generous. The takeaway system was slick and straightforward. The food was very hot when we arrived home and was carefully packaged by the restaurant team.I do hope that The Westbrook maintain their takeaway option after they fully re-open in May. We will certainly be using them again.I think that The Westbrook offers the best value dining experience currently available in the Chippenham area.I wish you every success in the future.

Just finnished a wonderful Sunday Lunch. Lamb with mint sauce for him, beef with horseradish for me. Added to that large Yorkshires, and loads of vegetables and of course, roast potatoes and we have just had the most enjoyable time. Added to that was a superb cheesecake, with a selection of berries and cream and no washing up and we are sitting here feeling very content.Looking forward to coming back when you can open as well.

My wife and I had a takeaway from the Westbrook. I had the Fish Pie and my wife had the Steak pie. We couldn’t fault it.Fish pie was full of Salmon, haddock, prawns and cod. Unlike most fish pies which can be like fish flavoured mash this definitely had fish as the star of the show. My wife’s pie was stuffed with Beef and a beautiful short crust pastry. We can’t wait for the Westbrook to reopen we will definitely be making the first booking.

Had takeaway last night and had the ribs with coleslaw and it was honestly some of the best pub food I’ve had. And definitely the best ribs I’ve every had, absolutely delicious food I will be back for a proper meal out as soon as lockdown is over :)

Top quality food, very reasonable prices and huge portions. After a hard working week you just can't beat a treat from this fantastic pub, whether it's a takeaway or sit in, Kevin and Louise always deliver the best. The gourmet burger was out of this world :)

Fantastic quality takeaway the quality and taste of the food exactly the same as if it was dine in. Thoughtfully packaged so nothing goes soggy before you get the food home. We had the ribs, burger and fish and chips and the food was absolutely first class!

Hands down the best take away around! Food is amazing and there is no difference in the quality or taste compared to when we dine in. Large portions, the roast potatoes still crispy, and all the parts of the meal are in separate containers so nothing ends up soggy. Will definitely be getting take away from here again.

Won a two course takeaway meal for two today and could not be happier! Collection was easy, staff were friendly and the pub looked lovely! I had the gourmet burger with apple crumble and my partner had the salmon and fudge cake and we were both very impressed! Portion sizes were generous (I couldn't finish mine!) and the food was just lovely! We will definitely be going back for a meal in the future!

Had heard good things about the food at the Westbrook Inn and we were not disappointed. The festive menu has plenty of options including steak and a great selection of vegetarian options. The steak and chestnut pie was so well filled my wife could not finish it, and the rack of lamb was beautifully pink, cooked perfectly. Side dishes of veg came with proper roasties and bubbling cauliflower cheese amongst them.A rare pub that can provide local & seasonal dishes, friendly attentive service and value for money. They obviously care and we will be back.

We went here on a sunday evening for a family birthday, it's nice to know there are some pubs that open later on a sunday, and this is one, staff friendly, but in my opinion a little stiff and starchy ( waiter and waitress very formal for a pub) food I must admit was more expensive then other pubs in the area. Food was good, I had a breaded chicken with spaghetti and tomato, good size, family had roasts all looked good everything comes separately. I had bread and butter pudding, was nice. All in all nice place, more of a restaurant tho, food good and service friendly, but a little expensive to visit regularly.

Tempted back by the always good reviews we felt pretty much as we did the first time we came here. Good, home cooked food that clearly satisfies its clientele but not quite the wow factor. A few standouts like the King scallops starter which is the starter to beat all starters! The veg is plentiful, but boiled or steamed with no frills and both our dishes had basic new potatoes. Having had some staggering food at a few Michelin plate pubs in the area recently this will remain on our reserves list. Don’t get me wrong though, you will be satisfied here with decent food and good service. It clearly is working too as it’s always popular.

Me and a friend have came to the Westbrook for breakfast , never been here before , so we thought we would give it a go! Sooo glad we did ! Atmosphere was lovely the food (we had a two full Englishs) was incredible and the prices were reasonable , the staff go above and beyond and so polite. Cappuccino was delish ! Covid friendly , screens, Hand sanitizers and track and trace in place. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely superb Sunday Lunch in a very Covid secure environment. We have used the Westbrook several times in the last couple of years for celebrations, and get-togethers with friends for lunch or dinner. This was our first Sunday lunch there. It was absolutely superb and one of the best restaurant Sunday lunches It has been my pleasure to enjoy. My wife and I both had roast beef and pork which was cooked to perfection and accompanied by Yorkshire pudding and a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient, service was very swift. Tables were adequately spaced with plastic separating screens to satisfy social distancing requirements.A very pleasant experience that we will undoubtedly repeat.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. We pre-booked but there were some tables free outside so we moved out there so the kids could play. Not all the play things were out understandably but what they did have was plenty to keep the kids occupied/safe. Social distancing observed, contact details requested, sanitiser stations and screens in place, felt very COVID safe. We were a bit confused if we could go back in to use the toilet or if we were meant to go out the back and come back in through the front door, so this could’ve been a little clearer. My son and I have a dairy intolerance and the staff were able to explain what we could have. I had the ribs that were huge, delicious and had a lovely smoky bbq taste. My husband had the burger and it was stacked high with cheese, relish, lettuce and onion rings. They had dairy free ice cream and were able to give me a dairy free crumble which was such a treat as I normally only get offered a sorbet! My husband had a gin and raspberry cheesecake which left you wanting more, even after the huge burger. Lovely place to have a meal with the family and for the kids to play.

Warm and friendly service even in the tricky times which few fail to get right.I managed to get the time of our reservation wrong, entirely MY fault & my wife won't let me forget in a hurry, but they were superb and we were not rushed at all.The roast beef & lamb were first class, truly one of the very best Sunday lunch's we've had in a long time.We now consider it our Sunday Lunch local! Although I look forward to trying the breakfast there too!

No concerns about compliance with Covid 19 regulations here. The large see-through screens dividing the tables did not spoil the atmosphere at all so we had a very relaxing and pleasant lunch. The staff are so nice and they were very much on the ball with regard to social distancing and the other guidelines they have to adhere to. The food was very good - always difficult to choose what to have because they have such a tempting menu!

Went here on a Friday night in Sept 2020. It was reasonably quiet but that may have more to do with end of ‘eat out to help out’ rather than anything else. The covid secure spacing was good and didn’t impact on the restaurant too much. The food was excellent, my deconstructed prawn cocktail followed by steak pie was tasty and a good size. Good gluten free options and Tribute bear made for a good evening. The price was ok, not cheap but worth it fir the food. Happy to recommend it.

Hats off to Kevin & Louise for opening their doors again.The Westbrook is now serving breakfasts and they are delicious, we popped along today and the pub is looking very safe during Covid19, the tables are all socially distanced, their is Perspex between the tables to keep you safe, hand gel & track & trace forms are obligatory on arrival, a one way system is in place to enter and exit the pub. If you are anxious about going out, rest assured Kevin & Louise have done all they can to keep us all safe whilst being able to go out and socialise again. The Westbrook is always our favourite go to, we love the children’s play area outside and this new breakfast menu just opens up more opportunities for us to visit!! We will be back!!

As my elderly Dad had been shielding I not only wanted somewhere that felt very safe, but sonewhere that also served good food to take him out to for his birthday. The Westbrook ticked all the boxes and had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor.I had prompt and courteous communication via email during the booking process and I reserved a table inside (incase of the weather). We were seated upon entry and sanitiser was at the entrance along with a form to complete for Track & Trace.We had table service throughout by the attentive staff who were all wearing face masks. Tables were all screened but it still felt warm and inviting due to how they'd done it.We ordered mains - Sole, Small Fish & Chips and the Ham, Egg & Chips. My Dad had a really full plateful and said he probably wouldn't have managed the "regular" and larger portion of Fish & Chips. And trust me, he loves his fish & chips! The desserts were equally as nice and throughout the meal we were checked on several times and asked if we needed anything else i.e. drinks etc.We had a really enjoyable experience and this is how it should be done! So full marks to The Westbrook and it's team. We certainly intend to visit again.Thank you.

First time visiting this lovely pub in Bromham. From the greeting to the goodbye I couldn't fault anything at all here. The food was beautiful and very tasty. Kevin and Louise were very welcoming and the team working that evening were great.Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We visit very often , the food has always been excellent along with the service , they really make an effort in all areas there are other places to eat in the area that's probably cheaper but no where near the quality of the food!

We have visited the Westbrook twice now since the lockdown eased, and on both occasions it has been fantastic. Lots of thought has been put into making the environment safe but still very welcoming. The food was delicious - we had brunch both times and the menu is extensive. The portion and quality of the food is excellent, can’t wait to work my way through the menu! Service was friendly and attentive and we were given a very warm welcome!

Our first proper outing since the lockdown. The safety arrangements made us feel safe and relaxed, all staff were masked up. Tables were spaced well apart and screened sensibly. The meals were very good as usual and the whole experience was pleasant and relaxed.I wish I lived nearer. The owner even chased after us because we forget something on the table. Cannot wait for another visit.

We just had to write about the lunch our family of six had yesterday. Everything was so well organised, hand sanitiser stations everywhere, one way system and every member of staff, who by the way were lovely, wearing a mask. We sat in the covered area towards the garden on comfy seats and service and meals were excellent. We'll definitely visit again. Thank you.

Just had a lovely breakfast here with my daughter. The owners have clearly made a lot of changes to ensure safety during COVID 19 with sanitizing stations and partitions- also a one way system and all staff wearing masks. We were seated in the decking area which is lovely with large lounge seats and heaters glowing.We had a full English with a few modifications, which was no problem at all and the eggs Florentine with a side of sautéed potatoes . All cooked perfectly and clearly quality food. Thanks Jamie and Ben We will be back once you are open in-the evenings again, for a quality evening meal as we feel that safety has really been considered here without affecting the atmosphere

I want to say a huge well done and thank you to Kevin , Louise and their team for the amazing effort put into keeping everyone safe , from full waiting service at tables , all staff masked up , , to hand sanitising stations , track and trace forms to fill in , Clear signs , and screens surrounding every inside table .Including the gazebo Garden tables well spaced out . Looked after and lovely food as usual . So good to get out again and to feel safe , a pleasure to be back in the Westbrook .

Met up with son, wife and 2 children for the delicious sounding breakfast/brunchOne of our first ventures eating out and couldn't have felt safer. Track and trace records, hand sanitizer, staff in masks and screens between tables. There is an extensive breakfast menu to choose from but for the fussy grandchild, pizza and chips! Three English breakfasts with a choice of eggs, one child's English and I had a delicious 3 egg omelette with salmon and I confess chips!Good to be back at the Westbrook and will definitely go again.

What a great choice for our first post lockdown meal. Great job done with social distancing measures. All the staff are extremely friendly & welcoming. The menu is great, so much choice. I had the ribs which are by far the nicest I’ve ever had, so well cooked& tasty. My partner had fish & chips which be also raved about. We were very full but couldn’t resist pudding, having seen them passing us to other tables. Pink gin & raspberry cheesecake - amazing, well worth feeling very full for !!!!!! Going back for breakfast tomorrow, can’t wait.

I had an amazing breakfast at the Westbrook today! It was great to see all the safety measurements being put into place, plastic screens and all staff were wearing masks. It was still as welcoming as normal despite all of the additional screens etc . The food was really good and can’t wait to go back.
