We stayed at the pub/restaurant for the Friday and Saturday night as we had a wedding to attend locally. We were greated with a lovely friendly girl called Chevaughn she was so welcoming. Through out our stay we had drinks and oh my god!! The FOOD!! wow! Incredible Thai food 😋 it was honestly insane. And the chef Amy came over to check everything was OK (which was a lovely touch) as we enjoyed our evening we noticed that Chevaughn was all over everything, she was serving, clearing plates, making sure everyone was attended to. She really was so professional and smiley all of the team were mucking in, it was a lovely atmosphere. The barman Harrison was also very attentive. We will 100% be back.

Having met friends for a walk at Fyne Court we decided to call in for some lunch afterwards. What a little gem! Beautiful pub, clean and well presented. Cheerful helpful staff, good menu which catered for our Vegan and Gluten free friends. We would definitely visit again

I have eaten here before and the food was excellent, but I decided to bring my new partner along and stay for the weekend. We booked the Exmore suite which has a 600 year old four poster bed. Have to say waking up in the morning and looking out of the window all you can see is lovely Greenfields and it really does make you think that you’re in the middle of nowhere. There is also a footpath that leads up to the Beautiful Quantock Hills. Breakfast each morning was available at 8 am and I have to say you need a healthy appetite to get through that. A full English and as much toast and coffee as you can drink.. we went out each day and had a great time and we both look so forward to going back and having our evening meal at the pub which was always delicious. Saturday night was live music, Irish singer and the place was packed to the rafters. We were made to feel very welcome by the locals and had a very, very enjoyable night.. Sunday started with Breakfast and then he went back to Taunton to explore it further, which was very enjoyable. I come back early afternoon for a Sunday lunch.. I can say the beef was to die for with Beautiful roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding lots of different kinds of veg and of course amazing gravy. My partner being a vegetarian went for the. Beetroot tart which she said was amazing and must say it did look delicious.. Thank you very much to the landlord landlady and of course the staff . We both had an amazing time and we will definitely be back..

Called in for lunch at The Bird in Hand. We were welcomed by the landlady, who had on offer a wide range of real ales, ciders and lagers. As it was lunchtime, and we had detailed cerebral work to do later, we both opted for soft drinks The Bird in Hand has a great village pub feel and is clearly both 'a local' and visited by those further afield. I clarified with the landlady about the open mic sessions on the last Thursday of each month. I have still to get to one of those. It was a beautiful day, so we had our basket meal in the quiet and peaceful rear garden. This is a great pub to visit - both at lunchtimes and in the evenings.
