The best restaurants serving British food in Topsham Exeter South West

Had the Supper tasting menu with paired wine last night and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our meal there. The waiters were also very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Only 2 types of coffee in paper cups, dire customer service and tables not clear, basically we were an intrusion. I have never before given a negative review of anywhere

I booked a table for 4 we was very disappointed with the food 2 of us had fish and chips. And 2 of us had a roast dinner . It said with vegetables we where expecting a dish of vegetables no the vegetables where on our plate 1 carrot cut in half I bit of broccoli And 3 small roast potatoes we where still hungry when we left the blue ball Not going back there again

The order was taken down incorrectly. The soup had run out at 1:30. We had to ask for one of our drinks that hadn’t arrived with the other one. Our dog was certainly not welcome by one member of staff who sat as close to us as possible (for her own lunch) and then complained that our dog was sniffing the floor by her. I should add we were told where to sit on arrival. Not a relaxing time.

I didn't eat from here but had drinks. Love this pub.

A very nice spot, staff are friendly and atmosphere is very welcoming. Reasonably priced as well. Will be coming again.

As we had lovely meals at the Salutation in the past, we suggested it for a reunion with old friends. Obviously there has been a shift and the restaurant has aspirations of an up market restaurant. Sadly, it didn’t measure up. Very expensive, ridiculously small portions, the quality did not measure up to the price by a long shot. We were not only disappointed but very embarrassed. Will not be returning. .

We thoroughly enjoyed our staff Christmas Dinner (a table of 17) - the table was nicely decorated, food service was prompt and the food itself was delicious. We were well looked after and the ambiance was fun. Well done!
