We had a birthday meal here for 14 people. Service was excellent very friendly. The food was excellent, not 1 mistake, everything was on time and hot and EVERYTHING was delicious. They were very helpful with the surprise birthday cake. Nice comprehensive menu with something for everyone, and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be visiting again.

We booked the Boot as a mid walk pub to have lunch. It is dog friendly and has no issues with muddy boots. The staff were very welcoming, friendly with a sense of humour. A perfect front of house experience. They catered and worked around my wife's allergy very well, such that it didn't spoil her enjoyment of the food. All the food we ate was excellent, piping hot, tasty and well presented and at a reasonable price. Overall a most enjoyable experience and would highly recommend.

This is a proper pub. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming which created a great atmosphere. A good selection of Palmers beers and great food all made on the premises. Best pies we’ve ever had! Perfect after a cold walk along the Test. Pubs like this are very few and far between and deserve all the support they can get.

We visited for dinner after seeing the pub recommended in Michelin Guide. Unfortunately the food and service did not live up to our expectations. We both ordered the "Miso Glazed Napa Cabbage, Crisp Potato, Gochujang, Brussel Sprouts, Korean Curry, Sesame" as our main dish. What we received was not what the menu described. The cabbage was doused in a katsu curry (a different dish on their menu) which is not a Korean flavor. Additionally there were no brussel sprouts, nor could we taste miso or gochjang. The server we had was polite and attentive however, the maitre d was so loud we could hear all of her conversations with other diners making our expirience far less enjoyable.

Three of us stopped in for a breakfast as we were in the area. All of us ordered the full English option, which, unusually came only with poached eggs, that were overcooked. Sausages and bacon were the stars of the breakfast, really rich, thick and well flavoured. Everything else was as expected. Coffees and teas were decent, and service overall was efficient and friendly. Overall, okay but I wouldn't go out of may way for this breakfast .

Fabulous village pub …lovely friendly staff and just amazing food…. Sunday lunch was a real treat , and we try to go to all the fine dining evenings… Kerry is a ray of sunshine and looks after us so well. A great mix of pub, village gatherings and fabulous food.
