Rather off the beaten track but worth a visit if you're after a tasty sausage or bacon (or both) sandwich or baguette. Actually make that bacon, sausage AND egg which will set you up for the whole day. Takeaway only, cooked to order so be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes.

My friend and I live quite local to this place. Thought we would give the cafe a try for lunch. Our experience was very disappointing, overly priced substandard food. I ordered a spiced tuna bagel, an apple juice and packet of crisps. I was handed over a tiny apple juice children size carton priced at £1.95 with no straw. The total cost was approx £11 I asked for the drink to be exchanged and paid a further £2.00 on top . My food in total cost £13 My friend had a club sandwich, packet of crisps and a Coke Zero totalcost £10.70. The sandwich was dry and substandard. Two sandwich meals total over £23 for a community cafe is overly priced in my opinion.

Sunday Lunch was a fabulous Gastro experience, The service was great and the food was exceptional. I fully recommend the best of both worlds (Turkey and Beef) but suggest you skip breakfast beforehand to leave space for it. Good atmosphere, Good Food great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.. and will certainly be returning soon, hopefully to sample the a la carte menu again.

Really good meal at the White Hart on Saturday evening. Some good skill levels displayed by the chef, who clearly has a very good understanding of flavour (and seasoning). Sounds basic, but it’s something which is lacking in most other places in the area. My chicken curry was exceptional, as was the duck ramen enjoyed by the rest of the group. The poached pear dessert was a welcome light option for dessert, and well executed. Reasonably priced relative to the quality too. There is much to love here. The real ale beer choice is always fantastic. You see the same friendly staff faces each visit too, which is always a good sign, and the WH is ably marshalled by the unflappable Stan. Although the pub is part of a large chain, the way it is run makes it feels way more like an owner operated local, which is why I pass by closer options to go there.

Excellent food, excellent service. We had crab followed by lobster and it was cooked to perfection. Friendly and accomodating service and a good wine list. What more do you need?

I should have realised when I saw dirty marks on the front entrance. It is a basic pub. Only 2 people there when we arrived just after 12.30. The table was grimy. And wet. We waited for the rest of the family to arrive. The menus are greasy and dirty. But we had all travelled some way, and don't know the area, so we stayed. The starters were OK. Avoid the fish pie. It consisted of a very thick layer of potato, and a layer of fish, but no sauce around the fish, so it was very dry. We did mention this at the time, but no apology and no reduction in the bill. We won't be going back.
