On holiday in the area and just happened to find The Plough when searching on line for an eatery. What a lovely place it is to, lovely Sunday Carvery and friendly, delightfully attentive staff as well
Nice food but very rude owner. I will never go back here to be treated the way we were. Not someone that enjoys their job or people. I don’t usually give bad reviews but I was disgusted.
I thought it was a bakery, so I asked for fresh sourdough bread. However, I was told they do NOT bake bread. How strange—a bakery with no bread! I never went back.
My parents stayed for a short break over the past week. This is what you will get:
- Well located with safe car park
- Wholesome food and menu
- Friendly, approachable and responsive service
- Adequat
Food was bland and disappointing, though it looks like they are trying to make up for it with quantity. Seems the chef doesn't want to be there.
