Orlando's Cafe in Shepway

Nice food but very rude owner. I will never go back here to be treated the way we were. Not someone that enjoys their job or people. I don’t usually give bad reviews but I was disgusted.

As a home delivery driver I quite often get spaces between deliveries. If I am in the area then I try and visit here. Whether it be for just a cuppa or a baguette. Love the baguette from here as they are always fresh and value for money. Usually it is served to the table or there is the option of take away.

Visited on Saturday with family and was very impressed. Staff very helpful explaining the options, and the food was excellent. For me the poached eggs were the best I have eaten. Will definitely visit again

Popped in here with my family one morning on a recent trip down to Romney after seeing lots of great reviews, and was not disappointed! Very friendly service, and we all very much enjoyed the food. Great value for money, perfect for a no-fuss breakfast done well!

I use Orlando's for sandwiches when we have training courses at work. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is always fresh and packaged nicely. Would definitely recommend.

Bad atmosphere not good for children loads of loud mouthed builders talking about who F**ked who at the weekend or how messy it had been!! Food was vile precooked burnt disgusting sausages reheated avoid avoid avoid

Popped in for a quick breakfast weekday morning, 2 rashes bacon, 1 egg, beans, hash brown, 1 sausage, bread and butter and toast with tea or coffee £4.95, did not have to wait long. Clean and tidy. Lots of choice on the menu. Have used the café several times for a quick bacon or bacon and egg roll to take away, very tasty, have ordered gone away then returned to pick up food.

Good prices, nice food, and friendly service. Tables and cutlery etc. were all nice and clean. Would recommend!

Lovely food, but the cook/owner is so miserable. Always complaining, and doesn’t like you to take away food. waiter staff are lovely always happy.

I have used Orlando`s many, many times whilst looking around the area to buy a house. it is good café fare. virtually anything you require. large portions well presented and served as quickly as possible. when it gets busy. which is most times. they do a delivery service to the locality. which is usful to the local industry. etc. friendly obliging staff. very clean and tidy. news papers provided to read whilst there.(leave for the person. (please). in general very good. recommend.

Orlando's make a great bacon & egg Butty. Always use this place on a Saturday morning when I'm too lazy to make my own.

Went here today for a breakfast after travelling to new Romney through the night. I got the traditional breakfast, which came with large portions for a very good price. The food was well cooked and fresh and tasted very good, the bacon especially. The cup of tea was great and the staff was friendly and polite, and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend going if you're in the area, not too sure about the bad reviews because my experience was great.

Popped by whist in the area and ordered a sandwich to go, now I know I should have gone up to Sainsburys. There were two other people seated eating a cooked meal, and the girl at the counter was much more interested in talking to them than making the sandwich I had ordered. 20 minutes later I had my sandwich, which I expected would only take 10 minutes to make. It was cheese and tomato, and the cheese was dry and I think the tomato was a bit off! I had a bite and then threw it in the bin. Safe to say I won't be going back, I will stick with a £3 meal deal from Sainsburys.

Do enjoy a good breakfast and am happy to recommend Orlandos and they also do a good traditional cafe menu, the food is freshly cooked and the people are friendly and its nice and clean. Very good value for money

I am a complete full English breakfast lover and for me I just can't go anywhere else to get one.The Billy Bunter is great! A massive plate of perfectly cooked food (not swimming in grease) and the owner is always more than happy to swap bits around so I can have it just the way I like and my children always give a list of wants and it's never to much trouble. We always feel really relaxed and welcome and really can't understand the unhelpful reviews on this page!

Owner rude, swears food terrible place is dirty, stay well away with your family.why trey to attempt to own and run a cafe if its not for you.

It is a nice place to go! The food is good and its good value for money! The owner is my neighbour and he was in good spirits today! We go quite often for breakfast.

We work very close to this Cafe and often go in for takeaway breakfast. This would be an excellent cafe if it wasn't for one huge factor, The guy who runs and cooks the food is incredibly rude and abusive. Whenever we go here we get nothing but abuse for ordering food that is on the menu!. He generally makes you feel bad for giving him business and does nothing but moan about you all the time your in there. It has got so bad we now have decided we wont go back which is a shame because the food is great.

I have only recently moved to the area and did not go out to eat until I started work. My new colleagues explained that there was a cafe near by that sells breakfast baguettes so I decided to join them for one. Little did I know that the first cafe I go to in the town would be owned by such a rude, unwelcoming individual. He lost his temper at the thought of making something that was on the menu and started swearing and shouting, bare in mind there were children in this cafe at the time. He proceeded to turn away an elderly man and purposely get everybody's orders wrong to spite us, smirking as we left. I hope the other local eating establishments do not have the same terrible customer service as this one and i shall not be eating here again.

I have used Orlandos Cafe many, many times. My colleagues and I frequently order Breakfast Baguettes. Usually this isn't a problem, but if the guy who owns the joint is working, you get nothing but abusive, expletive comments & complaints.I have never met a "chef" that is so unhappy to cook and serve an item of food from his menu.On my last trip, he continued to swear throughout the cooking, even in the presence of a family with two young children. This is customer service at its lowest.It is a shame the owner decides to work there himself, because the other staff are extremely friendly and polite. In all honesty, he is the only thing that lets Orlandos down.If you are to use the cafe, don't place a big order while he is working. If you do, get your hard hat on and prepare for the barrage of abuse.

I would not quite agree with the previous comment at all. When volunteering on the RHDR, I do frequent Orlando's on a almost daily basis. True, the cafe is very basic. True, you might be not too far out to call the staff characters (but finally very friendly ones!) and true, the place, and the food is for proper working class clientele. Considering that and being very happy with it, I usually feel quite at home in the place.

get past the spitting builders throwing there orlandos cafe wast from the white vans out side parked up on the sidewalk and you will discover the famous..After forcing open the dirt stained door you will be pleasantly welcomed by a menu of heart attack quilty food by staff who could not give a care in the world if your in there or not.Do not like the place will not go there again,
